and not rio specific but they REALLY have to even fudge some sort of jester LGB or fudge it so u can cheat and use the front seat. Its not fair now. id also like to see the ability to jump in back in MP. Currently you cannot. this cripples LGB use.

I absolutely can do this normally. 99/100 times this happens fine. 1 out of 100 I wont get a hot trigger and only pilot can fire. It makes no sense - spare me the very very simple stuff as my pilot AND me have played module since day 1 and hes an actual navy aircrew vet. as in is this a known bug? Or is it something detailed? I mean spare me "is it in a2a mode" is "twizz selected" "is coolant on" "is arm on" so on

Well imo jester isnt glorified voice cmds. Everyonr has their own opinion. I loved the f14 module before but once I found a solid pilot and we flew together a few times with a squad on certain nights - Ive flown single seat MP before of course but in the same plane? Nothing will ever be the same. I could go pee or something. We decided who did what. The workload dropped. We got to shoot the $$$$ on intercom and not mess up everyones radios. That modules a goddamned masterpiece and frankly anyone who says so and hasnt played it .. its beyond me. Its also not even c9mplete yet and I feel Ive definitely gotten more out of the one module in play time and joy than all the other dcs stuff the last several yrs I played. Ill also add HB are an awesome company. They respond to posts on their forum and dont ban you for criticism (cof cof) their viggen is also just a fantastic module. Jester will be continually updated. If someone told me it was just glorified voice cmds thats their opinion. But i mever had voice commands give me calls outs on sams and bandits (which you can turn off) and it can do a lot more than that too frankly. Ill also add that the UH1 still one of my fav mods, was supposed to be multicree *years* ago. It wasnt. HB had the testicular fortitude to do what many had blatherrd on about then cancelled or scaled back or ignored. *because* HB took the lead and made *something* where we had *nothing* suddenly 2 seat aircraft seem eminently feasible. Whereas before the f15 or mi24 etc one would wonder how this will work out; anyone can now watch youtube and see the very first version of a format Im sure everyone else will use and improve upon As it is its very flexible and once you get used to it you van use it without thinking. I also wanna add a last bit. I flew the f14 most the last yr in sp. I got a new comp and it could run things a lot better. No one wants tonplay RIO so I said f it ill do it. Guess what? Its a lot less worknthan the pilot lol! It was like 2 for the price of 1. I got to relearn the same plane from a different seat. It also made me realize that jester def wasnt glorified voice commands. I keep going back to that.. that phrase annoyed me. Its just an opinion but Id suggest whoever said it actually try to learn the RIO pit and then tell me having an AI do that as competently as half the human rios out there if not better is "glorified voice cmds" And i dont say this because the F14 is a total bear to learn. But its not the hornet. Its not going to tell you what you can do and hold your hand. The f14 is more like a crazy ex girlfriend you called because youre lonely. If youre truly in control of the situation youll survive the wild ride. But if not she may let you hang yourself. The F14 will happily let you rip her wings off etc if you jerk her around like a madman or 10 yr old. That said it can go faster, accelerate faster, fly waaaaay longer (every squad night we never tank and in the same mission the f18s will tank 3 or 4 times. Sat we flew 4 hrs straight as a pilot/rio with one landing to rearm and refuel. No death) and do it looking cooler too ;)

Couple things could happen Are you playing dce campaigns? If so .. wait .. time skip let the carrier complete a tirn in the wind. This may already be the issue. If the carrier has to turn first it can take a few min and your aligbments will be about.. 20 to 40 miles off. Otherwise dont start barkibg orders at jester until you get off the deck. Place your markers - they wont leave - but as the other poster said im pretty sure if during the start up you give jester orders it fcks everything up

Ok this was happening with the last squad I was flying around with and its happening with the new group. Most the time.. the phoenixes work. However previously it seemed one guy I could never get a hot trigger with. I havent had this problem with my new pilot .. til last night. What was weird was he was able to fire but we got dangerously close. After he fired i got a hot trigger. Hoaever we landed and stayed on and rearmed and went back up. And it happened again. Luckily he saved us. Im 1000000000% sure of how to hook tatgets. I had the phoenix knob on nose qtr. Tws mode. Ranges from 80 to 5 miles. Weapons armed and in a2a mode - he confirmed and fired. The button just wouldnt light for me. For that matter it seemed the targetting comp just didnt want to enter tes auto or tws or let me fire but i could scan

Thats so weird i dont recall any issies on mission 2. Can yiu descrine or paste the briefing? Sometimes allied d flights have to also d9 something or its no good. An airfield attaxi where a tu16 launches a missile at the ad and viggens hit the runway e5c - alot can go wrong. The migs are taking off so fast i ve often shot one downbsith a hsater andbhe wasnt just getting airborne he was maneuvering. So one time i did all of it landed and itnjust didnt pass. Idk why - the air defenses i just ignofed and somehow got away with it. But that bkmber jettissoned or ffkd up firing the missile..so it didnt hit airfields sam site and mission no go

Sorry i havent gotten to read the thread. First it was one of the best sfripted campaifbs i ever played in dcs. 2... the killbbn the awacs mission. Is that It? Because i have a weird bug that happens only in that mission - my pilot will get hypoxia and blackout no matter what. Yes i know abr the co2 and plug. Hell u can yse ram air and no mask below a certain height. It doesnt matter in this mission But th3n again i had a weird hypoxia issur creep up today in a dce camp i swifched a kf17 in for su27s. However today also same dce i had grnd steering isssues. Aga8j seems isolated to 1 sortie. So odd I Rlly hope u keep making campaigns. Where can i gove u a donaton?

P80 miguel Immgetting weird bugs In the flanker campaign we substituted the jf with. For example after weeks of working suddenlt my.pilot ALWAYS blacks out from hypoxia. Even in the grnd. 2. Yestweday plane started veering right hard on take off. Now impossible . I tried on other scenarios worried and it worked

Weird. I got hypoxia plugged in arnd 40 k and it wasnt the problem.issue. I may have been ablen to save but witnout thinking i put ram air on and unplugged Which made me black out 10c faster. Genuinly curious if at 40knormplusbhypoxias just a danger in tthe jeff and second if i wonder if id managed a rapid desfent if it eould have fixed it. Some weird stuff going on in that dce campaign anyways. The planenveers hardmto the right trying to takenoff.. its impossible I got rlly worried but no just seems dce

Eokbi figured out ddd Alignment innair is still a bitch . I still cant do a radar fix but gettingnthere. At least i knownhow to get the cursor and ddd modes. So theres 1. You fly over a point. Once as close to over a rio hits a button. Idk how to do this 2.i believe you can get data from another f14 not sure (btw these are mp) 3. Radar rix. A ship stands out on the ddd or like a tiny island. Ince i figure things out more this seems like the only reasomable solution i know of. Theres a 4. But i cant recall

You can mark with the DDD, and also fly over but u rlly need a human for that because rhe pilot has to see the thing flown over and tell rio to hit button. What scenarios? Ok well besixes tacan navigation... you wannna go somewhere without constantly hitting f10. Its how its really done. It also marks places of interest. F14 has 3 wps. Maybe a target awacs flies between 2 and 3? Or maybe thats your BAR CAP zone? Bombing - theres also IP and Surface ztarget waypoints. Theres morr that arent waypoints but markers "hostile zone and defense zone" Il add in MP you cant really pause ( well you can but everyone getd msd and ungotta be the admn) and f10.. is sorta cheating in a way. Not really but lets put it this way. Its like the rios secondary job. Anyways im hesitant to say it but i think i got it. The way i got it to work is tonignore the advice everyone gace me. All that hit that N%E button? Dont do it! It seems to default on n/e and double check it ALL. Now i just rlly gotta figure out whats going on with lgbs and why dcs suddenly treated my rios trigger like a pilots one (my.rio trigger settings are for lantirb - i couldnt use the radar then i found the issue) The nav fix by radar rlly obly works either by islands or super distinct coastline or say a big ship alone in ocean. You need the ddd for that..prob is i need to learn some of the finer ddd functions - namely why i couldnt get a cursor on it despite hitting the button for it nezt to the hcu
