Good find!! I had a strong suspicion that switch did affect the map. I wonder why it does that. Also what is the argument for having it on or off again? It doesn't seem to affect the asp sight? @Fri13 I guess thats why my map had the issue. Do you know what the switch does?

Fri the gunpods are stronger than I thought they would be (and they look awesome with green and red tracers!). But effectiveness wise they're hard. I tried them in the disaster relief mission and my aim simply isn't there. I still think many of the dcs problems would apply though they have some sting to them; but you reaallllly gotta be precise. (As you said no suppression) The rockets are much much more capable (obv)

I'd highly recommend using the trims too. Not the TRIMMER but the trimming like in an airplane. Using the trim settings (I just bound mine on the arrow keys) REALLY helps steady her out flying. I can emphasize it enough. I was getting around before but with a noticeable roll to the right etc. Smooth as silk with the 'airplane' type trim. Now if I could only get it so smooth at very low speed

Same. I know what some are but others I'd like clarification. I assume the radio channel like switch in back right is for the navigation but not sure I'd like to know what 'send Doppler speed info' or whatever does exactly and what it affects So on and so forth. Basically just like you scoff. It'll all be explained when our lord and savior chuck drops a 'new testament' on us

Yes that can be very frustrating. Ok try this. Google chucks guides (module you want) Download the guide. Read relevant section on thing you have trouble with. Also YouTube search dcs (airframe) tutorials. I usually use chucks guide and YouTube tutorials. Then you can try it in missions. Free flights whatever. Or if you need you can make a simple mission in the mission maker as well. I've even seen people come up with good ways to practice say being a RIO in SP. I'm no mission maker but if you need help ask me I can tell you how to make a simple mission where you go arnd and shoot stuff or dogfight or whatever. Also do you play MP? like do you have a headset and srs setup? Sometimes gttn online and practicing with another person helps. I could do that if u want help

Hey man thanks. I wonder if I should try this anyways - would I get better performance/graphics running it in native res? I'm running 1920 x 1080 however someone else figured this out. It's indeed the scaling I believe you called it. Or differing resolutions on desktop and on game? I couldn't see the raduga sight picture properly in the hind and another guy had same issue. He solved it and I tried his solution (making both res. Match) it worked for sight and kneeboard

He's an awesome dude too doing this for free too. I rely HEAVILY on those guides if the plane is complex

O that didn't even occur to me Fri. Wow another whole layer to it I will say a couple times it was off not just even on the map but it was moving literally opposite of how I was. E.g. I'd fly SE it'd move West North west..

Perhaps it'll be ok. You noticed he said in the same vid front seat commands work in the back? Even without using those I had flares being used last night binding the pilot release button. I'm interested whether the signal flares (colored flares) work against IR missiles heh

It never really works for me either. I wish I knew how to use it lol. That said I read somewhere crews always said it was the first thing to mess up..? Also - does the switch 'send Doppler info' (you see wags switch it in unguided video) - does that mess up the Doppler map? It's totally anecdotal but I feel like maybe it interrupts it's information flow? The only thing I can do for sure is move the map to adjust it because I see obvious landmarks.

I agree. Attack runs are fairly viable even with the robot aiming ai. Surprisingly. I mean don't get me wrong you'll eat it alot and probably quicker than IRL. But I was surprised how often I took hits with no apparent effect (angle the stalinium rotor to shield!) Thank God the balloon never went up. The west had no idea it was dealing with unbreakable rotor blades o death Hopefully they in the future allow a couple more Pete commands. For example one dealing with his ASO switch. Even if it's 'goto next 'cartridge'.

I for one am desperate for one of your excellent guides for the hind. Can't wait to see it (and finally know how to properly use the navigation equipment and Doppler and about 10 other things..) If anyone knows of guides etc though I'd love to hear. Redkite on YouTube has a video on the countermeasures

How can I tell if I am using scaling?

The petrov issues just vanished. Idk why the stuff wouldn't appear in front seat but taking atgms in a diff quick mission and it works. The raduga though..
