These issues are different to each other. While some just need to avoid special charakters so others need to change password while others again need to copy/paste the config. These are all nice troubleshooters and congrats to those where it works. But in some cases none of those tricks are working. In my case I dont have to install any modules. 1.5 runs fine and login works as long as no Module is installed, nice he? The only way is not to play DCS. I have reported all necessary information in the other thread. The reason in those cases might be Windows10...we just need to wait until ED has adapted 1.5 to the weired Win10 manners.

Was FC3 the first Module that you´ve installed after installation? How did you installed the Module? By using the Module Manager? Do you have other Modules that you can try whether they will cause the same issue? In my case it is the A-10C that causes DCS 1.5 to log me off automatically and deny any further attempt to login. Can we already expect any Information? So many threads/reports have been altered already by the Devs, but our issue is still untouched (except the Character thing and the update that doesnt really fit together with these issues here), and I pretty much believe that the inability to login can be considered a major issue...well at least somehow :)

Did a freeze happend before with other Programms as well, or just with DCS 1.5? In many cases it is a technical related issue that rests on Problems somewhere on your Hardware, such as the Harddrive, RAM or the Gfx card. You´d try out tools like Cristaldiscinfo and memtest to test your harddrive and your RAM, later on put the gfx card on a stresstest. All this is required to exclude a Hardware reason for your issue. Report back once you finished all your tests and if you can be sure that its not the Hardware.

Have you been able to Login the very first time after Installing 1.5?

Update in my case: I´ve figured a reason why a login is no more possible, but I cant explain whats behind it, I also dont know whether it is Windows 10 related or depends on other things. What I have done and what I have figured: - deactivating all active modules - Uninstalled all ED Products and registry clean after this - reinstalled the open beta (downloaded all, nothings has been transfered as nothings was left again on my machine) - started DCS 1.5 the first time - Login was possible - closed DCS again and started again, log in was still possible - installing the A-10C by using the Module manager - activation window appeared, so I activated the Hog - back in DCS 1.5 I was prompted to log in again as I was automatically logged out - from now on login is no more possible - repair Installation didnt changed anythings, still no login possible so to make it short: In my case, the Module manager seems to be the reason in any way as it changes somethings on my installation that holds me back from logging in AFTER installing and activating a product I´d apreciate it very much if one of the officials or Sith can say what I need to provide as well in order to further locate the reason for this bug. What I have not yet tested is whether this applies for other modules as well, I´ll test it the next days as soon I get any response on my efforts here. Thanks

Although its hard, but we need to keep in mind that this is a very new Beta of a very new Engine. As those login issues seem to be different (no Inet, wrong Password etc.) so I pretty much believe that there might be a bunch of reasons that are causing this, beginning from a simple server load until specific technical clientside issues. So to ED and everyone who has advanced knowledge about these things.. what sort of Information is needed to help tracking these kind of errors down? What might be a possible reason that is causing the inability to log in like this? in my case: --> Win10 pro 64Bit --> Antivirus Defender / Windows Firewall (both deactivated while testing --> no result) --> Password was entered manually and it has been pasted --> it used to work at initially and very first start of 1.5, after Installation of A-10C via Module Manager DCS logged me off automatically and refuses to log in since then.

Edit: @ED, is there a recommandation NOT to use Win10, or in other words, do you have respective experiences by using Win 10 on your own Systems that justifies not to use Win 10 with this very new Engine? If there´s a yes, so I could at least stop searching and keep playing somethings else until this is solved. so experiencing the new engine seems to be possible offline (without beeing logged in)...at least...but I really hope that someone has an answer what this particular issue is based on...in this sense...have a good night @all

If it would be soo easy...I got no special Characters in my username, just normal letters. I also tried to rename the config folder in saved Games/DCS Open beta...no luck. For some reason I seem not to have any possibility left to get over it. Edit2: May it have somethings to do that I am running Windows 10? (Pro 64 Bit) EDIT:

I suffer the same error. Login doesnt work, I tried nearly 20-30 attempts to login...no success...anythings else that we can do? What is the Username changing thingy? I dont really get the idea behind it. Would that probably work for people like us where no login is possible at all? By the way, for me it doesnt say that there´s no Inet, it says that the Username / Passwort is wrong.

thx for the Info, so I think I do not need to contact Support in that matter? I only wonder whether my issue was caused by the same error. (Login worked great and after I installed the A-10C via using the Modulemanager DCS has logged me off automatically and didnt accepted my credentials anymore...so I hope that the update wont take to long...I was so close :cry: :joystick: )

that might be the reason, do you think that it applies as well if it loggs me off automatically and keeps saying that my login credentials are wrong each time I try to login in again? Login on the webside (not the forum) works perfectly, so there´s no username/password issue.

Well, then thanks for clarification. But I nonetheless wonder why its not a seperate download when so many deep core changes are about to take effect? May be someone can explain me whats the secret behind it.

Its one executable to run DCSW 1.5/2 and no more 2 seperate executable files as we have right now. when you install DCSW (the current), so you´ll get 2 exe files on your Desktop. 1 for DCSW and one for DCSW MP. This will no more be the case within 1.5 as there´s just 1 exe from now on.

Correct me anybody if I'm wrong but I think that EDGE is a new Engine and so it will come as seperate Installation. You dont necesserily need to have DCS World installed in order to install 1.5 Its for everybody who wants to take a look at it, no matter what you've installed and what not.

But those prealpha releases are quite important for a developing Team as they provide important information like software issues and Hardware / driverissues which weren't tracked down while internal/external testing...as Skate said...noonne is forced to participate. They dont just ask...they are monitoring the bugreport forums quite well and if someone provides himself as a serious bugreporter who always provides well written and well evaluated bugreports so that Person might have an invitation from Wags in his pm one day.

Sith has stated that the Changelog should be available soon, we should get an answer to this question by then I suppose. But to be honest, I dont think so. I believe that such a fix would rather take place with the release of the Street of Hormuz map, as it would Support Carrier Ops much more then any other update...but thats just my Point of view... I might be totally wrong.

can you tell me please how you´ve managed to fix the camera to his Position? This is somethings I´ve been looking for so long and never found a proper solution. Thanks great initiative by the way, with the head movement solution.

I´ve got a similar issue with my X-55. But it isnt that bad as some of you guys describe. I made a clean Install of Win 10 and after I installed the Driver and the Software so the OS is recognizing the Hardware (X-55) and all Buttons, Switches and dials are working properly as long as I am testing those either in the Controll Panel properties or the Mad Catz programming Software. Each Input is recognized. But as soon I am activating a Profile, so it wont work anymore, means there´s no recognition of the assigned key combinations. I contacted Mad Catz Support and they mentioned that they are working on a driverupdate which I may not expect within this or the next month.

Sorry if this Question has been asked here in this Thread, but does anybody confirm issues with X-55 and Windows 10? Windows is recognizing the X-55 very well and the controll Panel (Hardware propierties) are recognizing eych Button switch and dial without any issues, but programmed buttons are not recognized, means if I hit the Firebutton on the Controllpanel so it works, but if I assign the weapon release Key combination to this button so this order will not react (speaking of Mad Catz Software not ingame key assignemnt).

I dont know whether it has somethings to do with Win 10, but I am always downloading the Software and the Modules via Torrent (using utorrent). It is working on Win10 very well too.
