  1. c´mon guys, we at least have a solid goal now. Until this point all we knew was like..."We dont know when it will be available", this is over now...and consider 2.5 to be available soon, there´s so much to see until the Bug will sting.
  2. Holy shit, I really hope for you that you´re just kidding...50$ for a case that contains Hardware for 2000$? If I can recommend you a case, so get a thermaltake core v71 (click me), thats a really cool thing and provides enough space for the hardware...but its a monster of a case and demands enough free space to place it properly.
  3. Hey guys, I am currently saving money for a new rig. My current Specs are in short an AMD FX 8350, R9 380 and 32 GB DDR3 RAM. DCS is currently installed on a HDD. I wonder if I will have a noticeable boost just by installing DCS on a SSD (looking at DCS 2.5) and leaving the rest as it is....well, yet I dont want to start a new thread as I think that this one perfectly fit my question though. Thanks and sorry for Highjacking this thread :D
  4. To be honest, I pretty much believe that we will always see somethings like this, even after 2.5 release. Its because there´s so much to simulate (which is great). And if you compare Lock on and the current DCS Version you´ll clearly notice that its 2018 ;). Its a great thing that ED is providing those alpha/beta Versions. One can but one does not have to join the beta and the alpha. Just pick the Version you prefer and let them do their great work. And dont forget that most of the currently available modules were created by 3rd Party developers, ED themselfs does not have many Modules released so far, they focus mainly on the Software itself...excluded the F/A-18 of course :)
  5. Thanks for the great update. As 2018 is very close I´d recommend to make a break and enjoy a well deserved x-mas and new years eve with your families. Those few days doesnt really matter I suppose. Thanks for the huge effort you guys are putting in to fullfill my dream of an Aircraft that I love from my childhoods days. Merry x-mas
  6. wow, are you working with that tools for a living? Great insight, thanks for sharing
  7. resurrecting this thread in order to ask whether you further improved your pit over the last couple years?
  8. Thats a great Cinematic, very impressive. As much impressive as the DCS Software is, so thank you both ED and Weltensegler.:pilotfly:
  9. uups, totally have missed that...:music_whistling: Thanks for the hint :)
  10. I dont konw whether this has already been asked, but will THIS be part of the Hornet only or will it become a common Feature for all Aircrafts that gain enough Speed and own the respective structures to create those effects?
  11. Is this the material the real Pilots went through as well (content)?
  12. that was totally unnecesarry, those modules will see the light of day some day, thats for sure but that takes time. Remember what Wags has said about the rough development timeframe that such a complex module needs. It easily can take up to 6 years, so we´d be glad that Heatblure is so fast considering the things that they went through. Not to forget to mention the new Jester AI to enable a 2 Piloted Plane in the first place at all.
  13. Heatblur wants to make us believe that those screenshots are textured 3D models...hahaha, never heared a great Joke like this...those screenshots are photos taken from a REAL Tomcat (obviously kidding) I was blown away when I first saw those Images...whatever you are about to do there, you seem to have Magic in your Hands....really cant wait to see more and take a seat in the cat. Keep up the great work and thanks for this awesome update
  14. Hey Wags, Holy cow I cant believe that we will FINALLY (sorry for caps) finally will get proper FlyBy Sounds, not this...alternate sounds that didn´t ever gave me the feeling of watching a Jet flyby nearby...Thats what I always have missed...that roarrrrr feeling in the stomach. So I watched your short Video and was like blown away...very well done  I really cant wait and I´m very excited about what we will get :joystick::pilotfly:
  15. interesting Idea
  16. I remember very well when Wags has mentionmed this in the Interview. I´m sure that Wags didnt referde the pure development time, it´s rather the preperation before the actual development. Most of the preperation time will be consumed by gathering data. Wags said that right that process took several years just for the Hornet. So 4 years of data gathering and 2 years of development are quite more realistic I suppose.
  17. I recommend you to follow them on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eagle.dynamics/ For some reason they are a little more responsive according to the Hornet than they are here in the Forums. Only the very latest news are spread here. On Facebook you can follow some chat between the users and ED (as long as it fits the things they can say)
  18. dont worry, I get your Point.
  19. It´s not a major issue, actually its not an issue at all. A little graphical, yes but it doesnt affect Gameplay. As BIGNEWY said, it was reported. Thus it´s on ED´s list and will be fixed when they feel to do so.
  20. hahahahaha, I´ve been reading to be hornet at first and thought wtf? :D
  21. Ah, great to know. Thanks for the heads up
  22. I wouldnt be much surprised if the Hornet will be available along with the Carrier DLC andf the Su-33 all combined in one huge update. By the way, did we got any information if Wags has finished the part 3 Video, or has it already been posted? I´m not quite up to date with the latest Hornet information.
  23. hahahaha, :megalol: thats for sure :pilotfly::joystick: Thats is something I really wait for years. I never had the feeling to watch a Fighterjet Flyby when beeing on the Ground. The sound was always simply not "Rooaarrr" enough :D. I really hope that this will change with the new modules. The Mirage really has made a huge step forward in that matter
  24. really cant wait anymore for the F-18, I really hope that ED will have mercy with us and reveals the estimated release timeframe quite soon.
