All game and module manuals in the same folder
MemphisBelle replied to Tucano_uy's topic in DCS Wishlist
I am at work now so I cant check the path, but the filestructure is well ordered afaik. ED root/Mods/aircrafts/A-10C/doc (same for the other modules, I dont remember the 3rd Party mordules now though) Do you have a Problem with this structure? You wont read all of them all simultanously anyways, so whats wrong with it? :book: A suggestion, create a Folder named Documents on your Desktop and put shortcuts of the Aircraft/doc Folders in there, so you don´t need to dig through the Folders, thats how I´d do that if it´d bother me. Edit: Besides this, I dont believe that it would be possible to handle it other than the current way as the documents are coming with the individual download of each module, so it´s technically impossible to have all of them stored in one Folder apart from the module Folder...correct me if I am wrong -
Video Tutorials now have an own place within the wiki to seperate them from the "papered" Tutorials. One can get to the Video collection via following a respective link in the Tutorial Collection
-
hahaha...lol  I have only checked the URL...nevermind, now I got it :D

Great tutorial, very much lodad with information. But I wonder why you dont have created it as a PDF file, that people can save somewhere? However, I´ve put it on the ED wiki A-10C Tutorial Collection as well.

Tutorial has been added to the ED wiki Mig-21 Tutorial collection...first entry by the way ;) great work though
-
thats why they are called linked Images...since 2012 by the way ;)
-
it doesnt simply make sense to copy Content and link them to nothings. This link that you are showing me here has no relation. How do you get to this page? The "what links here" function doesnt provide any ressource, so how shall someone find this page? Start right from the beginning at the mainpage and hit the DCS Wolrd link...then you´ll see what I mean

I finished now the Overview pages and Tutorial Collections for all available Modules. A more explaining Forum post can be found here
-
OK Guys, I´ve been a little busy the last couple days and have achieved a lot of work on the wiki. Now the Module overview pages (like the one from the A-10C Warthog) are finished for all modules. The C-101, the Mig-21 and the Hawk did have "Module Breakdown" Information pages. Those ones have been moved to another place and are accessible now from the respective overview pages The Tutorial Collections have been added now for all available Modules, some already existing pages were altered and updated with some new Navigation stuff to enable an more easy use of the respective wiki pages The images (the small ones, that have been placed once next to the Content) have been entirely changed. So what does that mean now? That means that you can now either put your stuff into the respective Tutorial Collections or if you dont want to, then you can simply send me your stuff via PM now and I´ll do that. Next to this I´ll start searching the Forums and youtube for useable content to be gatherd in the wiki. If you have suggestions about content that you consider worth beeing added to the wiki and probably dont have an own account, so let me know and I´ll take a look on that. below you find a list of all Tutorial collections and overview pages from all the currently available Modules now to take a quick look on them. Sidenote: These links can be accessed easily by using the wiki and dont represent an individual creation

thats sounds great...thanks for the update Wags.. As its getting closer...how exactly will it work to get a hand on NTTR if I used to be an A-10C Beta purchaser? Is DCSW2 automatically scanning my keys and unlocking NTTR for me then?
-
just in case you understand the "yes" different than me...all the stuff will be pulled over to DCSW2...everythinghs else would just be a nogo...sorry if I have misinterpreted your "oh boy" :)

I really hope that we will hear some good news soon, we should know more by the End of June. Lets just cross fingers, that just helps sometimes

Hello guys, as the wiki has been reopened again by the Wiki Admins and a contribution is possible again, I want to continue my effort that I´ve put in 3 years ago already, before that wiki has been closed for security issues. So I plan to do several things in order to have a Wiki that is filled well with easy to find and properly sorted information and downloadable stuff. Many guys of you already know the A-10C Tutorial Collection and the DCS root page as well as the Module´s root page, where all important information can be accessed from quite easily. Since then many Modules have been added to our favourite game and all those Modules need those pages as well in order to provide easy to access Information. As I will prepare the Platform, I assume that I depend on your help. So Ì´d please you to send me your stuff via PM so that I can feed the wiki again. You can of course do that by yourself, if you have an account...it´s just an offer. But please wait until all the needed pages have been created. Dont wonder if it takes some time untill all Modules are prepared as I have to do this in my spare time. As most of those stuff has an own topic within this forums, just send me the links to your topics. I would need things like: Tutorials common guides reference Documents Technical information Hardwarte profiles (Joysticks, Track IR and so on) Youtube links for tutorial Videos and what you thing is worth to be part of the wiki The latest pages I am currently about to prepare are the F-86 Sabre related...: F-86 Rootpage F-86 Tutorial Collection and the Hardware Profile root page all yet WIP of course
-
I started again to edit some pages. The list of what I have done today created a rootpage for the Hardwareprofiles created a propper front page for the F-86 Sabre Module created the F-86 Guides, Tutorials and reference Documents page for the F-86 (Most of this is yet WIP as the A-10 logo on the pages represents it) I also plan to create those pages for all the modules to provide the most possible Information for each module. I also will announce a help call to the community that all the contributers who have created new Tutorials, References, Videos and so on, that they can send me their ressources so that those can be added to the respective module pages. If anyone wants to help me so he/she is highly welcome...if not...I already went through all of this 3 years ago alone and it shouldn´t be a big issue if I do this again.
-
This Thread has been added to the newly created F-86 Guides, Tutorials and Reference documents page in th wiki...well done Nemax, and thanks for the effort. (Dont wonder about the Warthog logo on the top of the page...ist due to the fact that this page is newly created, and still needs some tweaks)
-
technically its possible...but I wish much fun for aborting the activationprocess for all the Modules that are not yet activated each time you start a Mission, enter MP or start the Mission Editor...I´d rather keep the modules uncolored that are not activated / purchased :noexpression:

Bugs with latest stable branch patch released today
MemphisBelle replied to Call911's topic in Object Errors
I had a similar issue after update, did you renamed the saved Games/DCS folder and have letted it recreated by restarting the Game? That was the reason for my issue which was a kind of similar issue. Its important not to delete the old DCS folder, otherwise you´ll losse all your network and inpusettings...just rename it, I´ve added a _ so that it looked like DCS_ then. -
Weired Grafic issue after latest update (1.2.16.39472)
MemphisBelle replied to MemphisBelle's topic in View System
The issue has been solved. After I have reinstalled the Game I forgot to rename the saved games/DCS folder , thus all the old settings were taken over to the new installation what caused the issues. After I have renamed the DCS folder it has been recreated by the game what fixed the issue. Now I can move the input and network files over to the new directory to not loose all my settings. Sorry for inconvinience -
Weired Grafic issue after latest update (1.2.16.39472)

[solved] Weired Grafic issue after latest update (1.2.16.39472) Hey there and thanks for replying. I have done before. It was the MoreVisibility_v1.4 next to some other mods...but that was for the last Version. The video is representing a very fresh installation. I uninstalled and redownloaded DCS World right after I updated the game today to make sure that I have a very fresh installation. There are now no mods installed anymore. After uninstallation I have cleaned up the whole Directory and ran Ccleaner and cleaned up the registry as well to make sure that no leftovers will mix up anythings for the new installation. -
Issue solved, please read post #4 to see what I have done to fix thios issue Hello, I´ve run into a strange grafic issue that I never came accros before. It happened first time today after I have downloaded the update today. To see what I mean you can either just take a look at this screenshot and/or watch this video that I have recorded quickly to further describe the issue. I dont know what is now further required, which files shall I add to this report as I have no errorlog. - No Mods were used while testing - The whole Game was redownloaded so what you see in the Video is a fresh install. My Graficdrivers are up to date, I also dont know whether I can pin this issue down to the GrafixCard that I use (AMD HD7870).
