Thanks you both for your replies. I am curious where we will go with those kind of devices in the future
-
I havent been reading through the thread so far, but is it known already (or at all) whether the steam VR device will work with DCS World instead of Oculus Rift?
-

you really believe that the harsh tone will make them release it earlier just because of you are´nt impressed anymore? I dont think so, be happy and register that the official release has come closer
-
stupid question, but will your Project be an official 3rd Party Product that underlies ED´s Qualitystandart? If so I wonder why your thread hasnt been started in the 3rd Party Forums and why you have no 3rd Party Tag. The Images are looking awesome by the way and I am really looking Forward to taking Hands on that Helicopter. Considering you´re doing this as sort of sidejob, so you´re indeed doing an awesome work.

Why so complicated? Multiseat Modules will be regular modules anyway, so pay for the module and enjoy the possibility of having two or more possible positions to have fun with...Done!

That explaines everything.

X-55 Rhino Hotas Issues and Problems
MemphisBelle replied to Raven434th's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hey there, no offense. I understand that it can be a pain in the but if the device is not working as it is supposed to do and no matter what one is doing, nothings helps. The second paragraph Sound like you got over the issue? -
X55 Rotary 1 acts as Throttle
MemphisBelle replied to MemphisBelle's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I figured so far that the Rotary 1 assignes Joy_Z to the axis (I´m thinking right now that I havent tried the input of the other Rotaries...would be interesting which Axis they do assign), just like the Throttle (both) does. A solution for the A-10C would be thus just to assign Joy_X and Joy_Y to the left and right engine and leave the both Throttle Axis blank. This will ignore then the Rotary input. But this is for the A-10C only (or any other 2 engine Jet that is about to come) and no fix for other modules that require a seperate input of Throttle and Axis. -

I got the same issue here and cant find any solution to fix this. It seems that quite too less People own a X-55 to say somethings about that. But I´ll subscribe to this Topic and will let you know when ever I´ll find a solution about that. EDIT: I just stumbled about this Topic and remembered that I have assigned the X and the Y Axis for the left and right Throttle and additionally the Z axis for both Throttles. May be it´ll work out if I remove the Z axis assignement for both throttles to get rid of that Problem. But this requires the Rotary to be a Z Axis Input. I´ll Report back when I have tested this tonight when I am back home from work.

Hey there guys, I made myself a xmas present and got the X55. Most of the Inputs work well, the only Thing that makes me mad is that the Rotary 1 (the one on top of the Throttle), acts as Throttle. I already have searched for related Topics and found one, but the answers there didnt really helped me out, thats why I am asking specifically here again for this particular issue. I also already checked the Settings and deleted all axis Inputs for the Throttle device and assigned them new to respectived functions. So I got the Joy_X and Joy_Y (each is a single throttle) to either the left and the right Throttle. I assigned the Joy_Z to both Throttles. Ingame I now can use the Throttle for both or each of them and it works perfectly. But when I now move the Rotary 1, so it has an effect on the throttle as well and I cant get rid of it. I checked the Settings and tried to figure out which Axis is beeing recognized as soon as I use Rotary 1 and I noticed that it is giving the Joy_Z Input. This is pretty much useless and unnecessary. Can anybody give me an advice of getting this fixed? Thanks in advance

As far as I know ED has sacrificed Crimea for the benefit of having more countries at the south eastern part of the map. Thus it´s possible to include more parties for Missions (I am not certain if this has really been the reason to cut Crimea off). Basically I´d like to see it again as well. which game is...was that?

Bucic is absolutely right, I dont know whether you own a proper controll Setup (may be you can tell us, for providing Information about profiles and such things). If/once you can skip this question and you concentrate on the modules, so I highly recommend the A-10C (which you already got). I also want to suggest to get in touch with online squadrons, as it makes learning things way easier with real guys who tell you how things are working, instead of doing this alone. It isnt just easier, it is also more fun of course. According to your FC3 question...if financially possible, get the FC3 module (reason why has already been stated enough). You also might consider to get the Combined Arms module (later, not essentially now), as we´re about to have great opportunities with this (anytime later). I also would mention to wait for sales (sorry ED), as it doesnt hurt so much if you notice that a module is absolutely not yours (like the MI-8 is for me :( )

X-55 Rhino Hotas Issues and Problems
MemphisBelle replied to Raven434th's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have to correct myself a Little. I have been biased too much as it seems. I connected my device(s) at a powered USB Hub and Ghostpressing issues did not appear. But what I encountered instead was another issue. If I want to hold TMS up Long for example, so it wasn´t possible because the respective key Input was like this: _ _ _ _ _ instead of: ______ (Muliple buttoninput issue). After the mentioned fix above, this Problem was solved (Teamspeak Settings). -
Hey there, this is how I have managed to do this: View image (Dropbox) I have built a Basic and actually pretty simple wooden Frame, where my Device is fixed on (screws). It consists out of a throttlebase and a Stickbase. The Throttle is then on my left side and the Stick right between my legs. The whole Thing sits on a heavy woodplate which makes it stable in itself. It can be moved and thus I can pull it around my desk right in front of me. If I dont need it anymore, so I simply push it back on ist place around the desk. The devices are connected to a powered USB Hub. So I dont Need to pull them in and out...they are always connected to my PC.

I will have my X55 Profile finished soon as well (A-10C at this Point so far). As soon as I finalized the finetuning and the description, I´m going to release it. Should be done the next few days.

X-55 Rhino Hotas Issues and Problems
MemphisBelle replied to Raven434th's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
...are no TS related issues (Mad Cats Support was wrong). It´s caused by a Power issue in case of a too less Power supply to the PC and will thus end up in Ghostpressing issues. To fix this get an USB Hub that provides USB 2.0 or 3.0 Support and which also provides self supporting power supply and connect the stick with it. I have None of the above mentioned issues (well at least so far :D ). as this thread has a certain amount of Posts already...so sorry if this answer has already been given, I dont have enough time atm to read through all the pages. EDIT: It´s not that much weired and unlikely. Considering the amount of LED´s and functions that Need to be power supplied, it actually makes totally sense if the sticks behaviour is a Little strange without additional power Support. -
according to Nevada, it will be free to all peoples who purchased the A-10C as it was in beta, it was a Promis that has been given by ED back then and they want to fullfill their promise. About new maps (after Nevada)...as they will be modules, one has to purchase them. They are no free Content.
