  3. mad-mex Just let it go, no point to post here anymore. Panther worked the jet for 20 year, they wont listen to her I worked the jet for 15 years, won't listen to me Sierra99 the same Why do you think so many people with real life experience stop posting? There is not point. C'est la vie
  4. 27 countries, 40 years of service, constantly update at different rates with different updates. YEs, there are many versions USAF Block 40/42 from late 80's to early 2000 Depends on the country and block and year. USANG ADF block 15, Iraqi Block 52 now, ROCAF block 20, Egypt Block 40. I am sure there are more. Not sure about that one
  5. Some ROKAF block 52 also have WAR HUD. Not all Turkish block 50 have it, I think only 50+. They are made by TAI.

  7. What would the block 40 bring? Now USAF block 40 for the late 1990 would be cool or block 40 for now would be cool, USAF block 40 for the same years will be the same in weapons and many systems. A USAF block 10 from 1980 would be excellent since its never been modeled. I personally super excited about the DCS F-16C block 50 with CCIP circa 2007...long name like, fells like I'm introducing Daenerys.

  9. No, Nellis uses a combination of Block 25, 32 and I think 42. Eielson uses Block 30. There are 50 in Nellis for operational testing. The navy used modified block 30 and now block 15.
  10. EcceHomo Not sure the validity of that since I never seen a loaded Smart weapons (JDAM or WCMD) on a TER in operational squadrons on the F-16.
  11. Here are some of the reasons why I believe it will cause confusion. AAQ-13 - USAF stop using this in the early 2000 in all F-16, So someone will read bout the AAQ-13, and wonder why they don't have TFR. Cockpit lighting Someone will see a video of the amber color in the Greek F-16 and think it should be in the DCS version. USAF F-16 NVIS lighting is the same color as in the DCS A-10. With this the external lightning panel will be different. EGI EGI in the USAF is tied to 2 TCTO AFAIK; 1F-16-2489 and TCTO 1F-16-2570 (ECP 2602) 2489 was stil on TBD status as of 2010, to be honest I do not know what that means. 2570 is the one that introduce the avionics power panels label with EGI, but it also introduce OFP M5.1+. Any reference to the EGI in the USAF F-16 bring up the LN-260 EGI, not introduce until later. So that could cause confusion. Then there is the OFP, they have different symbology for different pages. Ther're differences with HOTAS and what system is SOI. Each SOI will handle HOTAS differently. The back up UHF is different The AUX Comm panel got replace by the IFF panel Not sure if HAF F-16 use SADL or Link 16 JFS control might be different. Depending what ED models, we might get flashing on the JFS run light if it DESCS has a fault. The frequency of the flashing will depends of the type of fault. edit The HAF manual show the fuel system with CFT, USAF don't use those. It also mentions 600g external tanks, also not use in the USAF. AVTR got replaced by the DVR, so that panel got different labels. Master arm panel is different, USAF does not use a drag chute Location of the panels on the right console is different. There are more differences, specially if we talk about the weapons systems. Thankfully I know next to nothing about those. So, why not wait until ED release a manual, and learn form that?
  12. Never happened in USAF F-16 block 50 circa 2007, same with CFT, AGM-154/158, GBU-39 nor 54, Will not have TFR, No beyond the horizon communication, no AGCAS, no APG-68V9, no 600g external tanks, no internal jammer, no MWS, no large HUD like a block 40/42, not a two seater in DCS, no AIM-2000, no AIM-132, no anti ship missiles, LAU-88, no additional chaff and flare buckets on the weapons pylons, not recce pod, not gun pods, python 4 or 5 missiles, AGM-142, no EGBU, no EGI...the list goes on. I think I going to make this my new response to every post.
  13. =Panther= don't mean to speak for you apologies Mira73, she does, for almost 20 years now.

  16. Common Configuration Implementation Program was exclusively for USAF F-16C block 40, 42, 50 and 52. No other countries nor F-16 where updated by this program. The idea was so these USAF blocks can performed the same missions.

  18. But now in DCS, we have modifiers. With modifiers I can set all controls in my cheap T-flight stick x and never used the keyboard they way I have it in all the current modules I use.
  19. The software that allowed the USAF F-16 to use those weapons did not get introduce until 2008 and was probably not done being installed for a year or two. Then unit would have to wait to get the actual weapons, AMMO personnel need to be train on them, load crews have to learn how to installed them on the aircraft. Weapons capabilities are not gain overnight. So generally speaking, Unit scheduled to deploy will get updates first if possible, then units more like to deploy and finally training units.
  20. Now? no, just a fat guy with internet. I was a terrible DCC once. Started in Luke 1997, 310FS, 36FS in 2000, 510FS 2001, 510AMU ~2003, 9AMU 2004, 80AMU 2008, 62 AMU 2009, 310 AMU 2010 and 8 MOS 2011 to 2012. I help load the jet before. You don't have to go to load barn to install the front fins of a -120 ( just need to use that tool in the center of the fin) or holding the GBU seeker while they installed the bolts. Argon for a -9 is not hard and you just have to hold the fins on the rockets...well technically you have to go to load barn but only if QA is around.
  21. Tomsk Some of the things to consider Many of the Squadrons or Wings on the list have change in aircraft and their missions, consequently so have their loadouts. For example 8FW no longer have block 30 like on that list and 51 FW, 8 FW and 35 FW now have same capabilities and loadouts. AFIAK, the reason for only 2 CBU (87, 89, 97 etc) or 2 GBU-12 are carried on the TER is the fins on the rear. When those weapons a thrown away from the TER (as all bombs are when separating from the TER or MAU-12, they are physically pushed away by ejector feet) The have lanyards attach to the rack. This lanyards not only activate the fuses but physically extend the fins. As the fins extend (if loaded on the inboard side of the TER) they have the potential to come in contact and damage the external wing tanks or the ventral fins (fins on the bottom of the F-16 on panel 4301 and 4302) The only question remains will be the Mk-20. I can only guess since I never saw this weapons loaded in any F-16. So either this canisters rear fins are small enough to alleviate concerns or the fins extension was delayed enough not to cause problems when loaded on the inboard TER station. Here you can see several aircraft with MER, and weapons on the inner station and how the bombs acted on release. Keeping in mind these are test video and lack content and details and may not reflect operational behavior of the weapons when release.
  22. That's the one Gen Goldfein was shut down in
  23. Awesome dude, good job. How long did that take you?
