If the launch altitude is below 12,000, the C-701 IR strangely initiates a loft? (C-701 TV don't do that )and fails (not enough energy/lost track)? when launch distance is greater than 8.5 mn. No problem with the C-701 TV. jf-17 c-701 IR.trk

Do you think you can beat me with Mig-29 ? I am ok to do some dogfights with you to see how good you are with mig-29. let me know. Really :),DCS is just a game, and is far from the reality.

Mmh seems you don't see my point. If I race my Ferrari against a Jeep, I will win. If I race 5 times, I will win 5 times, and I will conclude that my ferrari is faster than the jeep (comparative performance). Do i need documentation to do this conclusion ? No Is my conclusion correct ? Yes If i do dogfight and I always win against X with similar aircraft (F-16 vs F-16) and iF i always lose against the same X with disimilar aircraft Mig-29 (it's the aircraft i master best)vs F-16, then i will conclude that dogfighting performance (comparative performances) of DCS mig-29 are crap and far from reality . Do i need documentation to do this conclusion ? No Is my conclusion correct ? Yes Hope this help

When you're used to dogfighting, you quickly learn about your aircraft's capabilities, and how well or bad, it performs against others planes. A very good DCS Mig-29 pilot can't beat a good/average DCS F-18 / F-16 driver. No need for documentation to have a good idea about relative performance. All east german pilots agreed on the fact that no western aircraft can compete with Mig-29 in close combat, it's a fact and i trust them, all the rest is propaganda.

No need for documentation, you just have to go on a dogfight server and you will see by yourself how bad the mig-29 perform against F-serie (f16, f18, f14).

Have you look precisely at the impact point, it should be slightly off, and what ls6 do you use , the 100 ?

@Lord Vader is "unrestricted satnav" an option to have same GPS quality as blue ?

It append in IR version too, after launch, and in TV version before launch. It's a bug.

After a lot of testing ls6-100 here are the results : - Target select (area mode) - 100 % direct hit - 10/10 targets destroyed - Target locked (point mode) - No direct hit - 7/10 targets destroyed - PP point - No direct hit - 6/10 targets destoyed 1) inacuracy of target locked is due to target not centered after being locked (coordinates are not accurates) Target selected, area mode, (coordinates are good, target is centered) 100 % hit Target locked, point mode, coordinates are not good (need to be the same as "area mode"), target not centered, no direct hit 2) Inacuracy of PP point is because Map coordinates <> JF-17 Coordinates PP point, coordinates are not good (not the same as "area mode"), no diect hit I moved the PP point for JF-17 to have same coordinates as "area mode" and 100% direct hit The conclusion is : guidance is perfect, but 2 things need to be correct 1) Locked target need to be centered 2) Jf-17 coordinates need to be the same as Map coordinates (tested on caucasus map ) The difference between map coordinates and Jf-17 coordinates affect all LS6 and GB6, but LD-10 too(Often slightly off), i mentionned it on Deka discord (my discord name is : Kaenzdhi)

Yes, it is the new system from ED, but they forgot (strangely) to add red ECM, that gives the "blue" military GPS system, lower accuracy or no accuracy at all) For the red side and to get around this, DEKA should do an optional ("what if" FC1 version like ED have done with KA-50) with 2 minor changes 1- "BEIDOU" guidance system (i don't thinks it's modelled in DCS, unfortunately, but we can use glonass with better accuracy ) 2- Metric system There is already a chinese mod cockpit. Problem solved.

Coming from a true flight simulator it's always funny to see these arcadish items from Flanker It's more cheating view and doesn't fit the simulator philosophy -

That's the point, a F10 map for a simulator should not be configurable, but just a map (like a paper map, with annotations) -

No problem not solved, because other player will look at it. If arcadish game is your cup of tea, why not, but some prefer simulation with more realism, anf this F10 map is a joke. -

Yes i know, red side + "unrestricted sat nav" checked in the options has the same GPS accuracy than blue side, but i don't understand why ED has degrade GPS accuracy for red side.

ok, i have done 2 tests on blue side, 4 ls6-250, 4/4 hits 2 times 100% hit. I can confirm accuracy on blue side is Ok, the inaccuracy is on red side due to the stupid new feature (lol) of ED. I would like to understand why a red JF-17 should have a worst GPS guidance, than a blue JF-17.

@uboats Here is a short video + tracks Does the new "degrade Red GPS" from ED, affect the LD-10 too ? EDIT : I have done some test with LD-10 in blue side and the accuracy is way better, then yes, it affect LD-10 too.
