  1. after watching ur video tweak i set to 0.4 and set executable to run admin help a bit, but turning mirrors on ground gains back fps would suggest to u to disable full screen optimaizations along with your tweaks thanks for tweak guides
  2. if there is a mod that has range target silhouette, please let me know. if there is a way to also make the range target silhouette asset have some kind of hit detection or show round impacts, even better...

  5. no prob. its just DCS. i flew kola for the first time with some guys in multiplayer yesterday, and experienced the same thing with low fps at parking, improved with no mirrors but no issue once out of the airfield, that mission had a bunch of static planes as i looked around me. appreciate reply. i will check out your video on optimizations again, maybe i will pick up something, though i do alot to optimize
  6. im just sharing my experience with you. my PC is highly optimized. i delet fxo, win11 always up to date, i run DDU uninstall every time there is a nvidia update. i run quad views VR. not everything is set to high though i have a beefy PC.. im usually on multiplayer and i have NO issues other than what i have posted about your dlc. i did make a multiplayer mission once that had way too many objects that cause not only my machine to studder, but who ever join the mission. it is not my PC that is the issue. but its ok, you dont want to hear is the campaign so, that it then. i been running the fam flight and learning alot. you campaign is good, other than being at the nellis spawn area at the start.
  7. I got past the low fps area, once I took off, it was ok. Im just getting started in this dlc. It was after the intro, starting at Nellis being introduced to Paco, being in that parking area was most problematic It was a studder..turning off mirrors help So I point finger at maybe too many objects on the ground on nellis Cause I can fly multiplayer with tomcat at 90 fps VR no prob Note im running 5090 and 9800x3d, modest graphics settings
  8. im giving speed angels a play im getting laggy vr perf, max fps at 45 frames when mirrors are on more frames when mirrors are off, but unplayably choppy.. i can not play this dlc for now
  9. even if heatblur put fuzzy dice in the tomcat mirrors, would be happy for that.. B(U) sounds amazing... grateful for future updates!

  11. i didnt check out yet.. but im reading about the resources.. alot of good stuff.. • Airspeeds 80 to 120 knots. Airspeeds en route should not exceed 120 knots if door gunners are to be employed. Airspeeds exceeding 120 knots can cause the M60D machine gun to be ineffective. A-23. GUIDES FOR SUCCESSFUL TRAINING Units must thoroughly prepare for door gunner qualification ranges. The following are recommendations for range training: a. Pilots must practice the flight profiles required by the tables prior to the range. Running fire and takeoff will present the greatest challenge to the pilot. In addition, the helicopter should hover only high enough to give the door gunner intervisibility with the target. Extremely high hovers present unrealistic training for the door gunner. b. Engagement timing is very important. To make the timing objective: (1) Make sure the pilot of the firing aircraft is ready prior to target presentation. (2) Make sure the soldiers timing the engagements practice the calls to the firing aircrew and timing sequences to ensure uniform scoring. (3) Make sure the pilots understand the required flight profile for the engagement. After identifying the term "flight profile", i decided to google doorgunner flight profile.. and results i mention is Here's a breakdown of the key factors that influence a door gunner's flight profile: 1. Mission type Combat missions (Close Air Support, Troop Transport, etc.): Helicopters in combat situations, providing close air support or transporting troops in hostile zones, will likely operate at altitudes and speeds optimized for target engagement, evasive maneuvers, and close coordination with ground forces. In simulations, effective doorgunning has been observed at: 1000 ft at 60-80 knots, engaging targets at 600-1000 meters. 2000 ft at 110 knots, engaging targets at 900-2500 meters. this is good stuff!
  12. I have still yet to see if combined arms works with motion simulator. Anyone know what page of apache manual with new George functions? Found yesterday I have to hold consent long to get George going on cold start.. have to report that George can fire laser hellfires, but I had trouble getting him to shoot radar Thank u for updates!   14. how have you been @SloppyDog ive mounted my doorgun on my rig, and trying to get back to mission building and just shooting the doorgun. i did fly last week to test my setup. my pilot was all over the place, rocking and tilting, too high too low... i have to look at tutorial on how to set huey to trim out and fly at a constant speed hope to have result soon
  15. yea, i play contractors VR exfil zone. when i get shot in certain areas, i will bleed out and become incapacitated. all ideas great! better than current state of DCS infantry! other note.. i made mission where i placed infantry units on top of tall buildings.. at the slightest alert, like near by explosions, the Ai infantry would run off the building and sometimes scurry like roaches lol.. but they are still alive after falling 10 stories! lol
  16. Last night played a convoy mission to protect convoy from ambush Laid down tons of rounds with minigun and m60, expending so many rounds just to eliminate troops. A few troops still firing rockets at convoy after taking barage of fire Just like Ai helicopters taking a bunch of AIM9s in the face..I hope there is some tweaking to how Ai infantry and other Ai targets takes damage
  17. i know it is not on the table, but it would be nice to have the sea missile work without the need of mission editor.
  18. Also if in multicrew, if u get wierd sight behavior, it could be desync issue, I would have to hop out and hop back in to the hind in multiplayer
  19. i just watch raflidude's video on his c130j flight... just wondering about the landing.. i dont know much of this plane, i thought it had reverse thrust via reversible props?
  20. ok thank you! i hope that the graphic bug for the uh1h huey was also reported, though it isnt as obtrusive as the bug for the mi24 hind, but the bug look similar!
  21. after some posting this problem on hoggit reddit, i check to see if this graphic anomaly is happening for me, and i can confirm this issue exist for me. ON DESKTOP (NOT VR) i went to multiplayer, jumped into Mi24, refuel rearm menu to request LMG so that a kord can be loaded to the gunner position, when i move my mouse left and right, i can see the a grey wall when i move mouse right to slew the player view to right, but when i move mouse to left, i can see outside of the door gunner port to see the terrain normally and expected.
  22. also tried on a fresh install, no mods, on a different PC.. the grey wall covering the front cockpit as viewed from gunner position can be seen... single player and instant action
  23. thie graphic anomaly still exists as of DCS 2.9.18.12899 me and a friend will see it in multiplayer in VR, experienced on separate computers when we choose left or right gunner
