hannibal replied to hannibal's topic in Input Devices
im just now seeing this... wow! amazing! hows it work for you in the game? my build works for UH1H, Mi24, Mi8, adjusting the axis tune parameter "y saturation" to my liking.. it works for SA342 gazelle.. but it has a limited slew range- 20 replies

me and friend did a multicrew play test this weekend. i selected SA342 minigun as pilot. my friend request to join as instructor (copilot) i confirm request to join. we both successfully start in SA342 minigun variant and perform startup. my friend the instructor (copilot) request control to fly, and i accept the request. my friend the instructor (copilot) successfully takes control of helicopter and flies around. myself as pilot press keyboard 3 to move over to gunner position.... copilot experiences crash to desktop.

was in hoggit server we tried all variants of gazelle. testing multicrew take control function found that instructor role has major desync problem when joining gazelle (related to fuel lever). both instructor has nothing binded to fuel level instructor (copilot) ignored the frozen rotor blades with successful start up by the pilot. also instructor see NO data/movement from Radar Altimeter and Torque gauge. gazelle takes off. instructor (copilot) request aircraft control. pilot accepts the request for instructor to take controls once instructor has control, the gazelle starts to shut down. ***FOUND SOLUTION TO startup correctly and share aircraft controls*** (including missing blade rotation problem) when both the instructor client and pilot client binds the fuel level axis assignment to a joystick, things seem to be normal, but following a specific procedure: a) both the instructor client and pilot client binds the fuel level axis assignment to a joystick with axis tune with "Slider" checked, for both the sa432 pilot and copilot axis command drop down, for BOTH players. b) pilot selects gazelle and join in server. then instructor request to join, and pilot accepts c) both instructor (copilot) and pilot first must set the joystick set minimum input d) pilot set rotor brake forward. e) pilot performs start up batt/gene/alt switches up. then starter sequence to go to 25000 RPM f) BOTH pilot player AND instructor (copilot) player bring 60% input to move the fuel level ALMOST full forward g) wait for rotor rpm sync with engine rpm, then BOTH pilot player and instructor (copilot) moves joystick input to have fuel level FULLY forward. h) complete gazelle startup with this method, gazelle works as intended for multicrew. blades spin for both pilot and copilot. gauges are more or less sync, copilot will see movement for radar altimeter and torque. PLUS, copilot and pilot and switch controls back and forth with no problem

if somewhere out there that might have a suggestion for the Mover app developer on how the app can know when the aircraft is on the ground, please share. at the moment it is using suspension compression to detect that the aircraft is on the ground... it is assumed that the Huey has no suspension compression with it not having wheels, but i am not sure why Gazelle works... Or one day suspension compression telemetry could be added to the huey @Flappie

no longer an issue... testing under DCS version 2.9.5.55300 went to multiplayer server and one player selects pilot role for SA342 minigun (HOT Start) and when buddy joins as Gunner, the Pilot experiences a Crash to Desktop Also tested in another server (hoggit training) and selected a COLD start SA342 minigun, the same situation happens. we both tired being pilot, and who ever joins as gunner, the pilot role experiences a Crash to Desktop. added crash files dcs.log-20240523-224017.zip dcs.log-20240523-215932.zip

the previous problem was fixed and support has come along way, just one last issue it was mentioned by one of the polychop dev's that this is a bug when fully deflecting the joystick left and right, the minigun only moves about +/- 10 degrees from center where as the mouse can have the minigun move +/- 50 from center with capability to aim forward looking of the aircraft. bug problem still exist in recent patch 2.9.5.55300 im sure the polychop devs are committed to the kiowa release at the moment hoping for a fix to the joystick slew, and not to be forgotten!

NS430 needs some love here! -
yea.. 7.62 dealing with infantry is weird also. i mean to deplete a infantry up to 80-100 percent damage is unrealistic... seemingly hundreds of rounds in some missions lol
