  1. I am guessing that during the great mod purge of 2018, where mods were arbitrarily removed from the forums. The ORIGINAL BFVG V1 mod disappeared. At this point I will categorically state that all BFVG mods were built from the ground up including all the 3D models. I realise that one individual cast aspersions as to mod content and ownership. The original mod appears to have fallen victim to that. (I can't say for sure, as I have only just found out that the forum post no longer exists, as I was PM'd a request for this Mod). So I say to you and the moderators that may have removed the original.......We as a team spent many many hours producing this offering all built from scratch and not a single model was outsourced or obtained from elsewhere. My code used three digits...yes three digits from another mod for which I sought approval from its creator, prior to release....which was freely given. We did everything above board and it should be recognised that our credibility should remain untarnished. I therefore re offer the mod to the community to download and enjoy.   3. Hi Frag, In the propeller section you are giving the aircraft the ability to "START" when instructed to do so from the triggers section. The aircraft won't start until that trigger is activated. I hope this sheds light on the situation. Cheers.

  5. There is a workaround but you have to use non static aircraft. Place in a parking slot as a "RAMP START" Select "UNCONTROLLED" The Airframe/Airframes will not move and will behave like a static unless instructed to start via triggers in the ME. Placing Aircraft this way will ensure they will sit inside hangars and not on the roof. Cheers
  6. I have discovered what the potential issue maybe reference the rolling stock. Include the Third Reich as a faction in your mission and see if you get the trains. I included that faction to incorporate rolling stock selection. It would appear that the STM can also be faction specific in this case. Cheers. (every day is a learning day with the DCS ME) LOL.
  7. All of the rolling stock used in the template are static items which are standard DCS objects therefore all of the rolling stock should be present. There are no modded rolling stock carriages engines or wagons. Cheers.
  8. I have tested this by downloading both the STM and Mod pack as well as creating a new Mods folder in my saved games and moving all my other mods to a safe location. I can access all the mods as well as the template without any issues in my Open Beta build. The STM will only work on the Caucasus map as static templates are map specific. The location of the Rail Yard is North of Anapa Air Base in the very Northern most reaches of the map. I hope this helps. Cheers.

  12. Hi it will allow the majority of airframes to do so. In the case of FC3 aircraft they will explode on spawning, unless there has been a significant change recently. It will work for the Viggen if it is placed directly on the map but not if placed on an object like a FARP. It too will explode but I understad that Heat blur maybe looking into this longer term.
  13. Cheers mate appreciate the feedback. The AI speed limitation is linked to amphibious vehicles within DCS and thats what I am mimicking to enable ship to shore operations. If you use CA and pilot the boat you will get around 25 kts but be prepared for sea sickness lol.....you will get bounced around. On both counts the models are in early development by ED and as such have omissions or errors that will lead to error messages from the code I have adapted to get them in sim. I was making a Soviet Beach Assault mission for myself so decided to share what I had adapted for use. Appreciate the feedback....thanks

Move the .miz file to your Missions folder With this mod you get the following: 1. EA Ropucha - Class Soviet Landing Ship (ME Name *Ropucha-Class-Sea use "ship group" icon to place). 2. EA Ropucha - Class Soviet Landing Ship (ME Name *Ropucha-Class-Land use "ground units" icon to place. CATEGORY ARMOR). 3. EA Zil135 Supply Truck (ME Name *Zil135Truck "ground units" icon to place. CATEGORY UNARMED). x2 liveries Green & Camo. 4. Miz file setup for the Caucasus map with a basic landing scenario. Features Available: • *Ropucha-Class-Land: CA compatible and can arrive at the shore line/beach. When using CA the bow doors will open when you stop the boat. (AI boats will not open bow doors). • *Zil135Truck: CA compatible and will act as a warehouse to rearm your ground units. • *Ropucha-Class-Sea: Acts as a normal ship with full animations (Cannot approach the shore line). The models are in their early stages of development so are missing certain elements. To this end, weapon systems function but not correctly. I advise that if you plan on landing under fire or entering a sea battle that you set the advanced waypoint actions to WEAPONS HOLD. Please enjoy.
  16. The reason that the Tarawa cannot simply use the Stennis lua format is down to the code associated with VTOL aircraft within DCS. It can clearly be demonstrated by spawning AV8Bs on the deck of the Stennis (RAMP START or PARKING HOT) and eventually you will see them spawn inside each other. If I change the AV8B code I can indeed spawn aircraft on the deck as per the image below. Doing this means that AI airframes would lose VTOL capability. Similarly the helo spawning for the Stennis cannot be ported across to the Tarawa at present either. Which is why in my mod, a helo has to be placed as a RUNWAY start in slot 4, to appear in front of the island. I have no idea which party needs to address these issues moving forward and I am by no means a lua genius (just a mod coder) so after many many hours of tinkering with the code, these are my findings. They are by no means definitive but give you an insight as to what the issues are.
  17. I'm afraid ED moved very quickly in this regard, to prevent this option from working. It's clear they did not want to allow access to this feature. It means I can do nothing to reinstate this mod moving forward. It was fun whilst it lasted and highlights that ED can move quickly: a). When they want to b). When they don't want you to have something. Feature complete or not it simply gave you an option to play with until full implementation. There are probably other factors I/we are not privy to but that's DCS World for you. Thanks.
