F-4E Phantom II Development Update and Release Delay Announcement
joker62 replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
@IronMike thank you very much for this update. A little disappointed, but after reading (and I'll read with even more calm in the next few days) your explanations I fully understand and agree the reasons for the delay in release of F-4E. Indeed, I hope that the current adverse circumstances can be resolved as soon as possible and ALL of you can soon be fully healthy again. You are creating an extraordinary module, with innovative features that will give us a degree of realism and immersion that is currently unimaginable. And for those who, like me, have been real pilots for some time, this means a lot, a dream that continues on PC too. I am also really grateful for your way of managing relationships with the community, with honesty and transparency. Instead of quickly resolving the matter with "it's ready when it's ready" (an expression that is often used by some in a too simplistic and, in my opinion, even disrespectful way) you took the time to explain in detail, writing a lot, but a lot. I pre-ordered the F-4E almost immediately, and I'm still really happy I did. Thank you for your hard work and your genuine enthusiasm. Best regards. Antonio. -
Forse il problema che hanno segnalato in questo topic e' simile al tuo e ci stanno lavorando

Copy that. Thanks.

Thank you for reply BIGNEWY. I knew this, I was wondering if it's possible to update DCS to this patch, temporarily excluding the update of Syria module, but without deleting it from my Module Manager. Maybe it's not possible... thanks anyway.

I've carefully read the changelog. WOW, a wonderful patch!!! Thanks to ALL of you (ED and 3rd party Partners) for this challenging work. Now, sorry for this short off topic, although still related to this patch. I've to download about 53 GB of files and I think that, in my case, many of them concern the Syria update. My internet connection is quite slow. Can I temporarily disable the Syria terrain, without deleting it, and resume its update later? So I can quickly download files and updates of my planes and try them immediately. Thanks for attention.

Finally some good news on F/A-18. I had abandoned this module for over a year because I was really weary about these gaps. I'm really satisfied with your commitment. Thanks a lot. Excellent, this means I will soon be taking my seat in F/A-18 cockpit again. On other hand, such an announcement only makes sense if all these improvements will be in the February patch and not in the October one. Thanks again.

@ThorBrasil Let's hope so. Anyway, thanks for sharing, I hadn't read about it.

@IronMike When I got home last night it was a really exciting surprise. Thank you so much to all you at HB for your hard and much appreciated work. Antonio. -

VIAF 2023 - Heatblur F-4 Phantom II Surprise Airshow Demo
joker62 replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Exceptional, a well done video. But above all, it was really exciting to see the stresses and performances of the F-4E during the airshow maneuvers. When I saw the first few minutes of the startup, it seemed like a dream. I never imagined I would enjoy tow-starter tractor assists in starting an F-4E (and in the future also an F-14 ). You at HB are doing a great job!!! Now all you have to do is grant us the privilege of flying on such a masterpiece. -
Thanks for checking.

Probable, but the photo I found about it shows otherwise http://www.anft.net/f-14/f14-detail-cp-22.htm

This is just a little thing. While I was trying a more in-depth start up, I noticed a misalignment between the temperature switch and the related writing. For comparison, I attach cockpit screenshot and fig.2-20 from Natops. Again, it's a small thing, but you guys are very particular about details too and I thought I'd submit it. Thanks again for your excellent work.

Outstanding! Thanks for your nice work.

This is astounding. I hope this project proceeds quickly to also benefit the F-14 Thank you very much.

Phantoms Phorever. PRE-ORDER & REVEAL Trailer
joker62 replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
I pre-ordered it yesterday. Now it's time for another wait, I hope it's not too long. Although I really like flying the F-14, because it's a carrier based aircraft, now I can't wait to get into the cockpit of this fantastic F-4E... and fly. I've carefully read every detail of this module, available on the HB website, as well as following threads concerning revealed aspects explained and clarified gradually. You at HB have created a masterpiece, truly above all expectations. Jester who finally interacts with the player (and for those who, like me, fly single) is much appreciated. A realistic detail in the connection of the various components that leaves us speechless, as is the wear and tear option, stunning. From the video trailer, I also have high expectations for the flight model, as it's an aircraft that needs to be managed carefully and can give a lot of satisfaction. I can't wait for the manual to be available, just to gain familiarity and while waiting for the module to be released. In short, you have increased my desire to fly, not to fight, but to fly, one of the most beautiful experiences, at least for me. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL OF YOU AT HB. Antonio. -
Thanks a lot. In the meantime I will delight myself with the E version.

Phantoms Phorever. PRE-ORDER & REVEAL Trailer

We are almost finished with the manual and will release it soon. Thank you very much. -
@jhonny912 Ottimo, proprio quello che desideravo sapere da chi lo sta usando. Grazie!

First of all a huge THANK YOU for the new 2.9 OB version. At present I'm very satisfied. The loading and closing times of sim are much shorter, the fps has improved considerably. I'm trying some new features, such as anti-aliasing, lod factor, etc. I've done some flights with F-14s in the Marianas terrain and I don't encountered any problems. I report some informations from my computer, if it's useful to you. Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz RAM 32.0 GB Win 10 pro 64 bit NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti I've a small request. It's possible to add, in the Module Manager, another option, an "update" box for each individual terrain installed (like to already existing enable/disable or remove option). So, when you release a big update, we can choose, by checking the box or not, whether to update the terrain immediately or do it later. Bear in mind that some of us have slow or expensive connections, and this could solve the problem easily, without having to remove the terrain and then reinstall it later. Thanks for your attention. Antonio.

Really impressive! The pilot also seems very satisfied. Release must be imminent
