  1. Thanks for the reply. If so we hope they will introduce this exciting feature as soon as possible.
  2. About A-1H Skyraider: at first glance I am really thrilled with this exceptional aircraft. Waiting for other news. About SC: what does this phrase "we are also working on directing aircraft from parking to catapults and from the landing box to parking" really mean? Is there something more or different from what we have now? Can you give some more information please? About AI BFM for jet aircraft: what to say ... I can't wait to try this new and dynamic aspect of aerial combat. So, a nice newsletter. Thanks a lot.
  3. Strange ... you certainly tried to do a new mission from scratch, right? Have you installed Mods? I've installed Navy Equipment Mod without any problems. Excuse silly question, but what wind and turbulence values did you set in the mission? In DCS, turbulence of 25 and more begins to affect your FA-18 during "groove". Same thing for wind: by setting a wind of 30 kts and a minimum carrier speed of 5 kts, you will have a wind on the deck equal to about 35 kts), so during "groove" you will see E-bracket and Velocity Vectory on your HUD that will dance a lot, and maintain correct FA-18's attitude until landing is not easy. But all these results existed even before the introduction of the new burble effect, and although they are interdependent, they have nothing to do with the burble effect we are talking about. Of course ED will have to review the whole thing and they are aware of it. I'm sorry, I don't know how to help you.
  4. Tweaks regarding burble effect and FA-18 FM are still ongoing https://forum.dcs.world/topic/302078-carrier-burble/?do=findComment&comment=4981175 https://forum.dcs.world/topic/303333-ob-hornet-performance-changes/?do=findComment&comment=4993660 However, the burble effect definitely needs to be improved. I'm not an FA-18 pilot, but I always refer to an excellent guide written by Pieterras "Aircraft_Carrier_Operating_Procedures_for_DCS_v01_8" https://forum.dcs.world/topic/261997-how-cyclic-ops-really-works- by-gb-and-pieter / What is reported on page 77 is really interesting Still on p. 38 reads From this it's clear that corrections such as power reduction to catch wire, pull down stick to catch wire and the like (i.e. expedients to limit burble effect in DCS) are not normally correct, consequently the current burble effect is not correct. So I understood it. For this I have disabled wake turbolence in the game options, to eliminate the burble effect, until it will be tuned correctly.
  5. Hi fagulha, thanks for reply. I too was waiting for the burble effect and now, like you, I have also disabled wake urbulence. I understand that it is not easy to refine the burble effect and FA-18 flight model, and I really appreciate the efforts of ED, but in the meantime I have suggested this solution to allow us to take advantage of the wake turbulence again and have fun in landing FA-18 on the carrier. antonio.
  6. Hi Minsky, thanks for your reply. In fact it is just like that for me. Yes, they are working on it, we hope the tweak will arrive soon.
  7. Since Burble effect was introduced, I've disabled Wake turbulence, thus limiting the Burble effect (in my humble opinion with too high values). In this way, however, the aircraft on which I fly (FA-18) is no longer affected by the wake turbulence of other aircrafts. I think it is a good idea to add in Options> Gameplay (additional settings), Burble Effect ON / OFF (as it's already for Wake turbulence), so as to allow greater flexibility of choice. This request affects both FA-18 and SC, so I post it in both threads. The moderator will then eventually merge the threads. Thanks in adavance.

  9. Thank you very much!
  10. That's really a great news. Thanks
  11. I am really happy to finally read something about the progress of the Dynamic Weather System. Will some features, such as ice halos, rainbows, be exclusive to the dynamic system or also available for the static system? Speaking of the dynamic system, will there still be the possibility to manage the high or low pressure zones in the editor? will it be simpler than the current one? Any other information would be really appreciated. Thank you and good work.
  12. Thank you very much for this news and for your hard work. Honestly can't wait to fly the F4U-1D Corsair, I'm really getting impatient. And what about the MiG-21 overhaul. Your MiG-21 has given me tons of hours of fun. Thanks again.
  13. Check out this thread, it seems related to SC burble effect
  14. Interesting, thanks for tip. I have set wake turbolence off and the effect is much less pronounced, if it exists at all. Wind 12kts, CVN 17kts, turb5, results "OK: LULX _LULIM_ WIRE # 4" (sorry, my bad handling), "_OK_: WIRE # 4", "OK: LOAR WIRE # 3". While waiting for ED tuning burble effect, setting wake turbolence off is good enough for me. Thanks again.
  15. Thanks to both of you, now i understand what it depends on. Look forward to the upcoming tweaks.
  16. I did some tests this morning. While keeping wind on the deck constant of about 26-30 kts, I changed the intensity of the wind each time (from 5 to 25 kts). Almost all landings were rated C: 3PTSIW WIRE # 2, some OK: _LOAR_ WIRE # 2 or 4. I always noticed an upward push between the AR and IW, which lowers the nose of the FA-18 (or raises the rear) just before contact. A little bit of throttle and bolter. I also tried several On-speed AoAs, from 7 to 9.5, but nothing has changed, always an upward push between the AR and IW. I'm trying to figure out how I can now improve my landings or if the burble effect (again WIP, I know) needs to be revised extensively. Grading of my previous landings was quite high and steady. Thanks to those who shared their impressions about this effect.
  17. Interesting. I don't own f-14 and can't make a comparison. I hope others can comment on this.
  18. I completely agree. I was just waiting for someone to talk about it. I thought I was the only one who got this impression. Analysis with Tacview highlights just this, even with different FA-18 loadout configurations. A big challenge compared to before, at least for me.
  19. About today Hornet Mini-Updates Wags, thank you very much, I'm happy to finally read about these improvements. I understand that certain improvements, bug fixes etc take time, and often we would like more attention to be paid to the preferred module, but this is not realistic. I really appreciate the continuous work of the ED on all modules. I also understand that there are features that take much longer than expected, such as FM (i.e. Update flight model for ground effect, takeoff pitch effects, auto-pilot based on FPM, touch and go handling, and other remaining flight model issues, still today WIP despite being in first place among the preferences in the 2020 survey). However, I was a little disappointed that more importance is given to the development of certain weapons and related dedicated systems rather than improvement of FM (i.e., FA-18's unusual reaction to the flaps extension), considering that to use those weapons and systems we have to fly the FA-18. But, I'll wait ... and thanks again for your hard work. antonio.
  20. I agree, more manageable take-offs and landings, as well as accurate up/downl turns. I also can't say anything about aerobatic maneuvers. A really nice plane, which gives a lot of satisfactions. Unfortunately after so many years he is still in EA. antonio.
  21. Thanks also to you fagulha, even Boosterdog had already reported me the fix antonio.
  22. Boosterdog, thank you very much for the quick reply. I had tried this Mod some time ago but forgot to delete it. Now deleted from /tech folder and all missions with SC work normally. I didn't think that the mere presence of a Mod in the /tech folder could affect the sim. Thanks again. antonio. BIGNEWY, thanks for the support. Problem solved, see previous post. antonio.
  23. After the last OB patch I can no longer carry out my missions with SC. The carrier and any aircraft on the carrier simply do not appear in the simulation. I have performed "repair" to DCS, enalbe / disable SC, I've prepared new missions from scratch, but without results. Only non-embarked vehicles and airplanes can be seen and used. Can anyone please help me? Thanks in advance. antonio.
  24. Outstanding work!!! Thank you very much for this upcoming update.
