Yep +1 for the paddle as well Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Sounds like it should work well with a vkb MCG-Pro stick top as you can use the vertical slew button for it. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

16AGR at 16AGR.com is a relaxed group that do multiplayer missions and have a couple of servers. Just search 16 in the multiplayer open beta and drop by to see if it suits. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Pull up on the left. Anti coll light out means cleared behind. Amber I think meant cleared in it's been a long time. Green meant you were getting fuel Flashing green meant you had all they were gonna give you. You don't always get to fill up. Red break away but I never saw one of those After you were done pull up on the right side and then off you go. It was actually easier. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Only talking about probe and drogue but I don't see it as that different. The hoses should be trailed so you can go to the pre contact position. The hose should have markings on it so you know how far to push the hose in when in contact. The bow wave from the jet should affect the basket as previously mentioned but depending on the basket it's not that much maybe 6-8 inches. The basket should hit the jet [emoji16] if you mess up not pass through it. I would love silent procedures to be implemented so I don't have to use the radio but that might be asking too much. On Ops we always ran silent procedures. However these are all relatively minor things if you can AAR in game now you will still be able to if it's realistic. You may scratch the canopy if you joust too much or break the probe off or spokes the basket but you will still get in most of the time. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Thanks for the manual, massively impressed with the stuff you have put in there begs a question tho! Will we be able to make keybinds for the back and front seat seperately so I can use my hotas as the hand controller in the back seat and stick in the front etc. Cheers.

Personally apart from the drogue not being trailed before you got to the pre contact position I think the current AAR is not too bad. The basket is artificially big at times and you don't see the bow wave effect as someone mentioned but it's not bad. Unless the drogue malfunctions there is no appreciable force as you put the probe in the basket. If the drogue is not working correctly you will get a massive whiplash on the hose which can come back and rip your probe off. All you can do is drop back immediately and hope you are out before the wave returns. I only saw it happen once to my wingman. So to reiterate from my experience the current AAR is about as difficult as it is in real life if you can fly close formation your can AAR. And the slightly bigger basket makes up for the lack of feedback Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

ASW is normally the cause if you turn it off you should be fine as it is no longer trying to lock 45fps. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Fwiw if you search you will find my YouTube reviews. I have all 3 still stand by what I said in the video. I ended using the VKB more because I have to carry one around with me on the road but both are a significant step up from the Warthog especially if yours is getting on and you use an extension. Nice thing about selectable CW illumination is you can fake a launch without actually launching a missile. Can be very useful [emoji57] Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

NVG's - give us a area to peak under at the bottom in VR

Been requested repeatedly unfortunately still no change but your comment on how they work in real life is dead on. Come on ED we have had mods that do it but they break integrity. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk -
I liked the 1st half, only thing I would add is instead of Pilot I would say crew, a good RIO is worth double his weight in fuel [emoji6] Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Probably not unless he is like my old backseaters who became a pilot and now flys for Dragonair in HKG ! Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

For Victory205 I met Pete Legg a few times didn't know him well tho', did you know Chip Beck exchange RIO on the F3 OCU in 92 I flew with him a few times and rode Harley's around Coningsby. I tried your 4 ship box recovery to the ship today was going really well till 3 lag spiked into 1, dam DCS, luckily we all got down[emoji16]. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

I am old enough to know the pre Amraam days were way more fun in training, but you must be really old [emoji6][emoji6]. Yes TBH the USAF were always a bit anal why the hell would you write that you have to fly ifr to the maximum extent possible.. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

94, 98 and 01. First 2 were red air which was way more fun " Red Air are cleared off " And yes we fought the plane to kill prior to the merge we weren't stupid lol, I liked fighting F15s easy to VID and they are big and always blue. Never had F14s on one unfortunately. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Just to reiterate the F14 is a conventionally stable aircraft just like the Boeing article. The whole point of modern fighters using Canards is that they are not stable. The Canards do add to the lift making the aircraft more manouverable but you need a flight control computer to fly it as humans are not quick enough to correct any deviations and being dynamically unstable any deviation will increase. The Typhoon is not a conventionally stable aircraft, you cannot fly it without the computers similarly the F16 and probably the F15 ( but don't quote me on that).but it would explain the lift curves. Like the F14 the Tornado was conventionally stable tho less so than previous generations, we flew it occasionally using direct Mechanical mode it was very PIO sensitive and on the limit of what I would fly , it was probably one of the last stable fighters. Beside TBH you guys get too wrapped up in this while I love Friday night fights with guns only and it's great for handling skills it has little bearing on real world ops. I would rather have a fantastic RWR that told me exactly what was going on around me and give away 3 degrees per second in a turning fight. 90 % of fights on red flag were over before there was even a 90 turn. So I would say it is easily manouverable enough to be a great fighter in dcs just better work well with your RIO in order to get the most out of it. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
