  1. +1 And if you are doing old school nav it's fly a constant speed on a heading for a time. So how it looks is irrelevant it looks correct tho if you ask me, but I use VR. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  2. Also while we talk about new bugs the receipt mission 4 the tarps aircraft crashes into the sea will try to speed up the ship today Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  3. I have 2 original gunfighters and they both exhibit this wild axis behaviour. The unplug fix appears to work fr a while but then it starts up again. Anyone with a MK2 seeing the same problem ? Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  4. Nothing I think is part of the missile modeling being incorrect. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  5. Fwiw we didn't talk about what we were about to do on the F3 but most back seaters knew what was going to happen so it was unusual to surprise them. I literally only blacked out one guy in 10 years, greyed out a few but fatigue was probably a factor there. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  6. The size of the sweet spot for the Rift S appears to be directly related to IPD. What did you have the ipd set too. If you didn't set it then disregard but if you have it set away from 63.5 you will have reduced the sweet spot via the software. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  7. +1 on it's broken tried to do a commentary for a training video and suddenly I had been shot by a Sam I was fine in the original, very bizarre. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  8. You don't mention your ipd the one common theme in the posts above is that the sweet spot is ipd dependant the closer you are to 63.5 mm the better it is. What's your ipd Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  9. I had it twice the other day. Hasn't repeated again tho. No idea why though sorry. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  10. We saw the same the other day with my RIO complaining that I was blacking him out. I think it may just be a slight sync problem. Having said that I have blacked out my back seater IRL so maybe it's not that unrealistic. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  11. I can see the ball easily on an 18 second groove time. Even if I mess up and end up out at 30 seconds it's still useable. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  12. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  13. It was hotter to me but I have removed the nose seal and now it feels about the same. It's certainly not any cooler. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  14. This morning I have a bit of time to test and I got the below pictures on boot. Did the reconnect 5 second thing and it shows up now. Ran for 15 mins all I have time for. It ran but lots of white flashes. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  15. Ok that's exactly what happened to me I did get 1 error message of the display port disconnected. Changed port and it ran fine fr 40 no idea what's going on really as I rebooted t exactly the same problem a coupe of times Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  16. My headset visuals have just started crashing to grey DCS keeps running and it is tracking but I lose video feed in the headset. I was getting very occasional white flashes on the screen now my headset is disconnecting from the display port. Reset it all different port anyone else seeing this. 17. Secure radio Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  18. Wrong area Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  19. Shadows high may be killing you most VR use low and flat. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  20. You do have to twist around as in real life so if it goes on for a while your neck can ache ( better to have the target in front ). But there is no g so it's way easier. The massive advantage vs track IR is that you know where the aircraft is under you unlike TIR so you can fly more by feel. Unless I am doing Friday night fights guns only I have never noticed any neck strain Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  21. So I finished a 2 hour flight with no IPD strain with it at 65 for my 66 IPD. Night mission in the Harrier looked good. Dogfighting Mig19s in an F14 was definitely easier to see the aspect, seemed to be about as I remember from my previous life. Overall I am happy. Pros Clearer can read all the instruments Night has way less stocking effect as SDE is reduced Dogfighting can see aspect even in a 2 circle fight. Performance appears to be relatively unchanged on my CPU bound 2080ti Cons No nose gap is remarkably annoying O may see if I can remove the nose seal. FOV seems less unless you jam it up to your face. It's actually a bit trickier to put on but that may be lack of familiarity. Night is very dark grey vs black. Tracking I did see a couple of minor hessitations over a 2 hour session so insignificant really. Overall happy customer Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  22. Just flew night case 3 in the F18 god Ray's were way reduced almost un noticeable the night however is a very dark grey rather than black. MFDs are significantly clearer. My only concern right now is IPD about to do a 90 minute mission and I will see how that feels. My IPD is 66 but I set to 65 for now as my earlier test at 66 felt off. I have a ton of time in VR as I carry original Rift with me on the road so probably log about 15-20 hours a week. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks got it I pressed guardian but it just got me to reset boundaries , bit slow today . Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  24. Got the IPD but I still haven't found where to turn guardian off and on any chance you could be more specific. I have been on it for 30 minutes I don't find it as comfortable as original Rift the up tick is resolution is better than I expected overall it's Rift 1.5 will try a night flight after lunch and report back. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
  25. Ok plugged mine in and the ball is definitely easier to see 3 wire 1st time with no zoom required so happy but. Where is the ipd adjustment and where do I turn off boundary as my seat is outside the area Ok found the ipd adjustment now just guardian on off required Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk
