max over clocking is over raited. For my set up I can get 3.87 out of my CPU but in DCS at 3.5 it stops to help due to a bottle neck els where on the system. Just keep in mind that your system is only as good as its weakst link. So the real test is to step up the OC till it stops helping. You may find you don't have to go very far for that to happen.

I just bought a 465 SC, replacing my older 8800gt. I can now render the sim in all its splender but have fail to gain any FPS in fact I have lost FPS. Form all the gus in my groop only the ones with I7 are gitting good FPS in 64bit DCS. I max out around 32FPS and drop to 12 when firing the GAU-8 in 64bit and 32 bit is a total FAIL lock's up and crashes. New system time. I only wish I culd aford a I7 set up. I can afford the best AMD witch will only buy me the MB and ram for a I7 not the CPU. If Intel would bring there price down a little every one would buy them.

I am going out to day and will check to see the price for shiping. I am gussing that the shipping is going to be more than the cost of the brakeout board. I still dont have the boards yeat and it may take a few weaks befor I have the extra cash for the order. I am up to 7 to order at this point so I might just order a extra just in case. I will let you know whrn the order has ben placed.

I think I am seeing a trend here. Every one that I here say there FPS is high 30+ are running a Intel CPU. running a higher ram mh than AMD.

Ok here is the news on my new GTX 465. I can now runn DCS at max settings but I have not gained ant FPS wait I have lost FPS in DCS, no matter the settings I use. If I am to hazared a guss, I think that the GTX 465 is now using more of my CPU/RAM bandwith leaving less for DCS to use. BS looks the same but A-10c looks realy good now with settings at max. I still turn down a few things just to gain 3 FPS in turns but that is the best I can do with my curint system specs. All my other game's that I play I can now run with close to max settings with 50+ FPS BFBC2 is running around 90+FPS in MP. This card is bad a$$. and it over clock's easy. EVGA Oc sftwair has a profile loader for quick setting changes I have a max medum and cooldown profile saved for certan game. Also I am using my 8800GT XXX for extra phisX support. it does improve FPS a bit in games that use it. Botom line is that if you don't have curint MB, CPU and RAM to keep up with the GTX 465 you are not using it to its full copacity. Like my set up the slow RAM and mother board are holding me back. CPU is OK. But still want a new one.

No solution here But I would like to be able to use my $1000+ sim pit for night missions. Realy does suck.

Finly get to do a video upgrade. I am so tired of no AA or AF and all gfx on low. just to get 30FPS. Keep in ming this is running a second screan and HELIOS. :thumbup: I am going to creat a bench mark .trk file to compair the two setups. I will post the track file if anyone wants to compair to my #'s. I will try to keep the track around 1 min.

I have a EVGA SC GTX465 on the way right now. Cant wait to pull theas aging 8800GT's out of my box. May put them up for sale to buy a second 465 for SLI on other games.

After installing beta 4 all I had to do is change the resilution in the options .lua back to what it was befor the update.

Im doing this for the guys that don't want to build one or can't do it. This is just a plug and program to help people out as a time saver. For people here in the USA I will sell it for less than they can build it them selves.

Vista yes XP not sure. I am sure that if you have a working TS on XP it will work with Helios.

Would I be able to use the X-Keys matrix board with HELIOS?

looking at you pannel I would use 1 16" WS from KDS on the left a and what ever would fit in the middle. A 19" squair on the right mabe a 20". I don't have the mesurments of your dash so I am gussing size. I prefer to use a real switch compaired to the Helios switch's.

The switchs and roteries where ever you can find them the cheapest. I buy the micro switch's they are cheaper but dont look likt the real thing. But I dont care that much about looks. no the switchs can be on off or a on/off/on. you creat a macro for each position the switch is in. you can tell it to press and releas the buttons or hold them on. I still need to come up with a custom cable from the X-keys board to my brake out board. not too hard to do just takes time to do it. And some good news the board will probly be less than $40.

Also this brakeout board can be used with both versions of the X-keys PS/2 (96 switch 8x12) and USB (128 switch 8x16). You will just have 4 calumns un used on my matrix board for the PS/2 version.

well the X Keys set up would be a input only like a keboard but using switchs. It is a key board emulator IO card. Using the X Keys board and my brake out board will alow you to wire up 128 switch, butons and dile roterys (selectors switch's). all I know is that the X Keys is the cheapes way to go for wiring up switches. I paied over $150 for a Hagstroms KE72 and 2 brakeout boards that gave me only 72 switchs. Dont get me wrong the Hagstrom's IO card is a great card for a keyboard emulator. My brake out boar will make doing switches easer but rember it does not do the outputs like OC cards do. For a beginer I thing this is the way to go. Also with my brake out board If you need to move your pit for some reason you can simply un plug the wires and plug them back in later. I changed the link, let me kow if it does not work. I will put the pic somewhere els.

Great I will keep you in the loop on how it is going. That puts me up to 4 boards. I am keeping 2 and giving 2 out at this time. I am thinking I will order 6-8 boards But if no one says any thing I will back it off to just the 4. So if any one is intrested speak up befor I make my order.

That is a good start. So 3 LCDs gust for the font pannel. Go for a projector as the main screan. Still wish we culd extract the MFCD's on a second network PC.

I a not using a screw down type connector. I am using a vertical 2 pin connector.
