  1. FYI, the SAM Osa began shooting at missiles fired at it some time ago after one of the recent patches, around Oct 2016 IIRC. Before that, it never fired at incoming missiles.
  2. Thanks to red_coreSix and BIGNEWY for clearing this up for me. I'm now eagerly awaiting the next release version patch!
  3. So in looking back, these would be welcomed fixes and additions to the A-10A 1. Fix the CBU-87's that fall short of the CCIP aim point. 2. Animate the EAC toggle switch so we can see at a glance if it's on or off. 3. Add strobes or flashing NAV lights. 4. Make the altimeter adjustable. 5. Illuminate the backup compass on the windscreen frame when cockpit lights are on. 6. Fix the canopy closing sound that continues well after the canopy is fully closed. 7. Add toe brakes axis. Probably a slim chance for any of this but FC3 aircraft are getting some attention from time to time.

  5. Are you reporting on the release version or the open beta? For the release version I totally disagree. For the open beta, I have no experience with that version. Somehow input from people using the open beta is being posted in this topic, but as far as the release version is concerned, these two SEAD weapons (tracking and release cue ranges) are far from fine. See my post here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2953187&postcount=16 and please read this entire topic. Also please download and watch the contributed tracks. Our Squadron has been tracking this bug since Oct 2016 in the release version. Please post a track showing your experience of these missile being "fine" if you're using the release version. I'd really like to see it.
  6. I just experience this myself Friday night in a multiplayer mission in an Su-25T. I bent the gear in a hard landing so it was nearly impossible to taxi off the runway. With much difficulty I managed to make it back to the ramp and asked for a repair.... "copy" was the reply, but I never got the repair. I tried several times and was always told "copy" but no repair of the gear was ever made. I eventually had to select a new aircraft.

  9. Thanks Home Fries. I removed the old Su-33 skins that I had modified and installed in the conventional manner several months ago and installed your updated skins using the conventional install method to take advantage of the new alignment. The installer worked well and an quick inspection of the skins didn't turn up any problems that i could see. I'll check them out more thoroughly later. Thanks for taking the time to update these.

  11. I'm always changing the Dispersion Under Fire option for my vehicles. It defaults to ON for 10 minutes, which for me is usually a bit too long.
  12. Would it be possible, in one of your future videos, to show a demonstration of the 15º stick deflection? Someone's hand moving the stick through a full forward and back, then side to side travel would be great.

Regarding the VPC Mongoos T-50 Base & Mechanics, from the Virpil website: "The maximum stick deflection is 15º+15º on both axes which provides a sufficient travel range for high levels of accuracy without compromising practicality". Now this seems perfect for center mounted use with an extension, but does this seem enough deflection to use this base/gimbal with a side mounted stick/no extended handle?
  14. BIGNEWY, I see you have the laser on always and are getting a LA using a 10m target box. This is a TV guided bomb isn't it? Try leaving off the laser and adjusting the target box size upwards from 10m until it snaps to a ground lock on the target which is quite a bit bigger than 10m. The laser shouldn't be required for a TV guided weapon, maybe this will help you reproduce the terminal miss?
  15. I suggest that everyone who's interested in this issue, watch again NickD's video on page one of this topic. Very near the video's end you can clearly see the bomb change attitude/direction just before impact. Watch when he begins to slew the view around a bit. This is very similar to the anti-radiation missiles terminal behavior.

  18. +1 How about making map icons visible to all for 60 minutes or so after being discovered by a player. Kind of like an enhanced fog-of-war mode.
  19. Don't despair NickD. We already have ED's attention on the SEAD missiles issue and I don't think it's something they are ignoring, it's just with the holiday season just ending and their work on the 2.5 merge, sometimes fixes don't come as fast as we'd like them to. Also sometimes their internal build doesn't have our 1.5.5 bugs. But most importantly they will now be aware of your discovery, which I think after watching your video is the same issue as our missiles bug. I have just linked your topic here in our SEAD missiles topic. It won't be long until BIGNEWY sees it and passes the work to ED about these two very similar weapons issues.
  20. BIGNEWY, I'm now thinking this may be tied to another issue. It seems NickD is having a similar issue with the KAB500kr TV guided bomb on the Su-25T. In his video it seems to show the bomb turning away from the target in the final moments before impact, missing the properly locked target with launch authorization.   21. OK, this is looking like the same issue we are having with the Kh-58U and Kh-25mpu SEAD weapons. The weapons seem to turn away from the target in the final momemts. NickD will you read this topic: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=176983 and look at the examples we've provided to ED on our bug discovery? If you think it's a similar or the same issue, feel free to add your problem and video to the other post for ED to see. I'll make a new post there and link to your thread here as your observations look very similar.
  22. You'll need to have your finger on the launch button as the launch indicator gets close (left side of HUD IIRC). The window for launching this weapon is so very very short. If you miss the window, authorization is gone for this pass. Try slowing your attack run if possible, that gives you a bit more time to react after you get launch authorization. Don't override or this weapon will fall short. I usually release when I hear the first part of the "Launch Authorized" command, don't wait for the entire two words. When you hear "Lau...." it's time to hit the button!
  23. Single player mission 6 uploaded. See the first post. Please report bugs, problems and questions here. Enjoy! There is some randomness in this mission. It has a chance to play out differently each time you fly it. For more info, read the spoilers below but only after you have flown it once.
  24. Using only release ver 1.5.5 I just wait out the black screen and it always seems to exit cleanly but only after a few long minutes. Granted this is something new and waiting for a clean exit shouldn't be necessary but it seems to be taking some time to clean up the .tmp files. If you kill DCS via the task manager, so many .tmp files are left in one of the working folders. If you wait a few minutes for the clean exit, all the .tmp files are gone. I think ED should be looking at this new event.
