I've never had, nor complained of any performance issues, stutters, stoppages, poor frame rates, etc with my computers running DCS World. Every new update has so far been a great improvement in every way beginning with ver 1.2.... until now. Release version 1.5.5 is giving us fits with this new occasional stuttering issue. I can't seem to determine what is happening at the time of the stutters, before I could always attribute a stutter to something going on in the game like before when the CBU's were causing massive slowdownd. Now my game and others in our Squadron seem to have these frequent stutters in multiplayer. I've not made any changes to my system or server since 1.5.4 where this problem did not exist. I hope this general issue is diagnosed and repaired by ED soon as the sim is getting to be frustrating to play for me, for the first time ever and I can't see a reason or cause for these to be happening. They seem to be oh so random, intermittent and frequent.

Mission 5 has been uploaded, see the first post. Note: This mission has not been fully tested in singleplayer (works great in multiplayer) so if you find any bugs please report them here. Applications are now being accepted for beta/play testers in the A-10C and Su-33. Please PM me if you are interested in doing this.

Comes, I'm not big on singleplayer flying so maybe someone else will advise you on the AI wingman refueling issues. I notice the same thing in testing. The idea here is just to give yourself a bit of time to rearm/refuel without your wingmen landing and despawning. Often it's longer than needed or expected.

Brakes on keys only for the FC3 aircraft are a holdover from earlier days. Only recently have they added brake axis' to the F-15C and Su-27. IIRC these are the only FC3 planes to have gotten the brake axis added as part of the newer flight models. Funny, they already gave the A-10A an accurate flight model, but didn't add brakes on an axis. Brakes on an axis for the "A" would be nice I agree, but I don't think this should be looked at as needing to be fixed but rather a feature that could be added. The FC3 aircraft are getting a surprising amount of new features lately, so maybe they'll show some more love for the "A" in the future. Other things that would be nice to improve on the FC3 A-10A: 1. Make the altimeter adjustable. 2. Fix the canopy closing sound (it continues to make sound well after it's closed) 3. Add strobes or flashing NAV lights. 4. Animate some toggle switches. Example: animate the EAC toggle switch so we can see if it's on or off. 5. (add your wishes here)

[REPORTED]su25t sead weapons bug
Winston 60 replied to salling772's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Here you go USSR_Rik. I hope this helps you see it. Here's a track of the first part of a mission we're flying in multiplayer. I flew this single player just to make sure this is also happening in single player as well as multiplayer. The mission parameters are: * All SA-8 SAM vehicles at Good skill level. * All are stationary, not moving and no waypoints. * All are Alarm State = Red State, so they are constantly emitting. * Two ECM pods are used on my Frogfoot and they are turned on when I get the first solid lock tone. Here's what happens: * First missile, KH-58U, is fired just after Launch Authorized is received. It never even makes it anywhere near the SAM, it falls short. * Second missile, KH-58U, is shot down by one of the SA-8's. Tough luck, it happens! * Third missile, KH-25MPU, is a hit! * Fourth missile, KH-25MPU, fired at one of the remaining SA-8's, is a miss. It hits close by, but misses just enough so as NOT to kill the SAM. * Fifth missile, KH-25MPU, fired at the same SA-8's as missile four, is a miss. It hits close by, but misses just enough so as NOT to kill the SAM. * Sixth and final missile, KH-25MPU, fired at the same SA-8's as missiles four and five, is a miss. It hits close by, but misses just enough so as NOT to kill the SAM. So that's one kill out of six missiles fired within range and all with Launch Authorization, no overrides. I have flown this mission 6 times and this is the best result I ever got using release ver 1.5.5. The single kill here is the exception, usually it's 0 kills for 6 missiles fired, or 5 if you don't count the one they usually manage to shoot down. Track attached, excuse my poor handling of the Frogfoot as my joystick kept coming loose tonight from from it's secure mounting. LastMissionTrack.zip -
Using the solution that worked on the Su-33's did not work on the Su-27's, at least for me. I have just provided Home Fries with some other changes to the Su-27's description.lua that got the skins working for me again. Let's let him have a look at my changes and see if he can finalize a fix for the description.lua files for these great skins. I worked for hours on these US Navy skins by Home Fries to get them working again after upgrading to 1.5.5 on Friday as I could not stand to be without them for my Squadron's flights!

[REPORTED]su25t sead weapons bug
Winston 60 replied to salling772's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
ED, can somebody comment on this please? Any beta testers noticed this? Any beta testers reported this? Has ED intentionally reduced the effectiveness of these anti-radiation missiles? ..... or do we have a bug/problem here? :dunno: -

[REPORTED]su25t sead weapons bug
Winston 60 replied to salling772's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
I agree that both of these anti-radiation missiles now have a very low probability of hitting a stationary active/emitting SAM radar. I can only get hits now by firing from 3000m or above and from a much closer range than before. This is against SAM's that don't shoot down your incoming anti-radiation missiles like the SA-8 and Tunguska. It looks like, when you're following the missile using the "follow weapon" view, that it always misses the target just enough to not kill it. I reported this months ago no comment from ED and it seems like it's even more noticeable now. I wish I had the time to run a test flight showing these very frequent misses and post a track, but hey.... maybe this is a feature and not a bug? https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2835874&postcount=3 -
So is this true, release ver 1.5.5 does NOT autoupdate, we have to do another install from scratch?

Play sounds button not working in ME?

Bump for any ED comments on this problem. -
squid509, so you don't see this? https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2591529&postcount=27 The discussion of the problems with Static ATC mod begin here at post 27: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=138994&highlight=static+atc&page=3 with replies by whartsell confirming the problem and hoping to get it fixed by the end of 2015, nearly a year ago. I have sent him a PM message and I'm awaiting a reply.

Squid509 and Bahnzo, I was wondering about the announcement in the Static ATC authors post about his mod not working properly anymore:
-
I thought the ATC static mod was broken and no longer works properly with the current release version 1.5.4 ?

Thanks for the comments baltic_dragon. I'm always looking for ways of improving these multiplayer missions. Thanks for taking the time to report your experiences. I wish there were more comments and suggestions on the missions, what people like and what they don't like about them and why. I had not produced a pre-campaign story but here's the idea. Granted, it's a wildly fictitious storyline from an alternate World: ______________________________________________________________________ Our squadron of A-10's are part of a select United States air and ground combat unit that was invited to Russia to participate in a good-will joint training exercise with the Russian military, similar to the USA's Red Flag but fully integrating ground warfare into the training program. Air and ground forces from Germany and The United Kingdom are also represented here for this prestigious event. A few months after our arrival, reports and rumors have come in from various sources and news agencies of a rogue Russian General's attacks on the civilian population and the looting of local towns and cities, even full scale assaults on Russian military units and bases. After a period of acclimation to the cold climate and feeling confident that we can now work effectively with the Russian forces, this new coalition of the USA, Germany, the UK and Russia has been tasked with locating the General and stopping these brutal attacks on the local population and isolated Russian military units. Hard intel on the General's forces is limited, but he is known to have under his command a division of armored vehicles and tanks and approximately 50 aircraft and helicopters. His troops are loyal and well paid from the spoils stolen from the local towns and cities that have been attacked, and will likely fight to the end. Our mission is to apprehend the General, alive if possible, to stand trial in a Russian court of law, and to decimate his forces to the point that they disband and are no longer a threat. Reports of attacks and atrocities in the Mozdok area indicate that he has a large presence here and is recruiting from the Russian military units that he has defeated. Your squadron has been requested at Mozdok Airbase to help drive this rogue General and his forces out of the area. Other coalition forces will be arriving in the next few days so your main objective until they arrive is to maintain control of Mozdok Airbase. Targeting pods for the "C" models were lost en-route to Russia, but we expect them to be found eventually or new ones flown in from the USA. For now we have plenty of IR and TV Mavericks, rockets and cluster munitions, iron bombs and ECM pods. See below regarding your remarks and thanks again for the comments and suggestions:

I can't even get a simple SAM site to work.....
Winston 60 replied to Bahnzo's topic in Mission Editor
If this is just for you to practice, try putting in self-contained SAM vehicles. It's easy to place a single vehicle or groups of them. IIRC the self contained ones are: SA-8 SA-11 SA-15 SA-19 -
Mission five teaser ..... Operation Grand Theft It's now Spring and we have transferred to Kutaisi airbase in search of the General. It's taken some time to locate him but we now have good intel that he's hiding out at Kobuleti airbase and in the process of rebuilding and recruiting. Images from one of our Drones show him in posession of a particular Su-34 Fullback Bomber that was recently equipped with a new top secret weapons and avionics package. The Russian military desperately wants that Fullback returned, .... so we're going to steal it for them! Our task is to attack the enemy forces at Kobuleti and eliminate all threats so one of our transport aircraft can land there. Recon photos show SAM's and AAA vehicles as well as patrolling tanks and armored vehicles at the objective. A few units are stationed in the nearby towns and may try to reinforce Kobuleti airfield as our attack progresses. We will have a C-130 Hercules available to us, on-board will be an SAS Strike Team and two CIA pilots. The mission will consist of 6 phases: Phase 1. A-10's (or one Su-25T) will attack and destroy air defenses at Kobuleti. Phase 2. A-10's will then destroy any and all ground forces at and near Kobuleti. Phase 3. The A-10 Flight Leader will then call in the C-130 to land at Kobuleti. Phase 4. Once the C-130 has landed and stopped, the SAS team will disembark, move to and secure the Fullback's hangar, and insert the CIA pilots. Phase 5. A-10's will provide CAS in case the enemy tries to reinforce Kobuleti. Phase 6. The CIA pilots will fly the Fullback to a friendly airbase with the A-10's providing escort. coming soon .....

May I also suggest a good de-frag of your nearly full hard drive with a good commercial de-frag program (not the one included with Windows)? Your hard drive, in a nearly full state, may have fragmented DCS files and this may contribute to jerks and pauses if the hard drive is thrashing about trying to load the necessary files as you play. The hard drive takes longer to read files (your game may jerk, lag, jump and pause) if they are spread out and not stored in a contiguous manner.

The biggest problem could be your video card. Minimum spec for DCS is 2gb VRAM and you have only 1gb.
