Yes, Home Fries' updated skin pack install will sure make this campaign a bit easier for me to build and upload. I'll no longer have to upload the individual skins. Look for mission two sometime in Feb/Mar. I'm testing mission 6 in the A-10 "Steel Winter" series at the moment, then I can devote all my mission building time to this campaign.

Home Fries, thanks for the new installer and updating these great skins. This will be a big plus for many users and will make my US Navy Squadrons Su-33 Carrier Ops missions much simpler to create and easier for users to download and play with your skins.

I always use silicone grease where ever it contacts plastic. Petroleum based lubricants will harm plastic over time. I've used a lot of other fancy lubes that are costly and have to be ordered, but I've always come back to plain old silicone grease. It's still my favorite, very affordable, long lasting, keeps well and can be found at any hardware store, just look for "plumbers grease".

We also have been noticing an occasional denial of repairs. I couldn't put my finger on the circumstances though, I'll pay more attention next time to see if it's gear/wheels/tires damage causing the repair not to be initiated. We are multiplayer only so we just re-select another slot to continue in another aircraft abandoning the damaged and un-repaired one. Still, it would be nice to pinpoint this bug and get it fixed.

Very nice looking but over 200mb for each skin folder? Why so big? Do these use the standard grey cockpit or something else?

Are there any pics/drawings of these other grips? I'm not so interested in the stock one.

There is a great need for damage model improvement for AI controlled aircraft in multiplayer mode. The problem with the damage model in multiplayer is: AI controlled aircraft can fly at 100% efficiency when they are heavily damaged. An AI adversary in a heavily damaged aircraft flies with no performance penalty.

Thanks for the tips will-. I tried the Rshift \ and it corresponds to the action Receive Mode in most of the modules.I had a hard time finding it because the Sabre and P-51 do not have that action in their key commands. It cuts down somewhat on the AWACS constant chatter but not all of it. In a heavy air-to-air environment it would still be nice to shut him up completely until he is told to resume transmitting so clients could talk to each other over Teamspeak in multiplayer missions. I'll try the Rshift+backspace, enter next time we fly. Any idea what action this is performing?

I would ask that another item or items be added to the AWACS menu. I think everyone who's experience an overly chatty AWACS would appreciate this. x. Radio silence until contacted. or x. Radio silence. x. Resume transmitting.

+1 I agree. This bug should be put on "Double Secret Priority" for an expedited fix by ED. :helpsmilie:

ATC usually vectors you to a "long final" position on the landing glideslope. Perhaps I should say a "very long final". Not needing a 10km final, our Squadron usually follows the vector until we see the airbase then enter a shorter pattern for the landing.

Will this adapter work with a Thrustmaster Cougar grip?

Maybe not elegant but a simple solution: F1, F2, F3, etc., are already in your DCS key commands list. Simply assign your TM MFD buttons to them. When the comms menu is open, these MFD buttons will select only the comms menu items. Of course, when the comms menu is not open they will still perform the normal F key functions as assigned.

+1 Would love to try this gimbal base with a Warthog or Cougar handle assuming all the hats/buttons would still work.

With the Russian anti-radiation missiles it is nearly completely broken, but the occasional kill is still possible. Before the bug I could always hit with 95% accuracy. Now it is down to 16%. I began to notice after one of the patches, the SAM sites were more aggressive in shooting down your missiles. Then this bug of the poorly tracking missiles appeared shortly thereafter.
