We don't ask for news ALL WEEKS but just more than ONCE A YEAR ! Is that really too much to ask for a module announced on multiple occasions ? I'm (and many others) not here to only whine and cry about that but read the other posts and you will see that we are only asking for some news regarding the current situation of this project.:music_whistling: A lot of people are thinking that it is a real issue with the Mi-24 project and a single basic screenshot in 365 days will not convince us that the project is still up and running as announced. And if you seem to know so well the people of ED it is maybe time to suggest them to give us more meat on the bones... Notting more. :thumbup:

Sorry, but I really don't understand why you are trying to defend the none communication of ED regarding the Mi-24. A huge number of simers are waiting this announced module since a very long time now. Most of us will agree if I say that this module will for sure become one of the most famous one of DCS. And yes, most of us are really not happy with the non communication of ED regarding this module. Even the announcement of the F-16 module was followed by additional news. In fact more F-16 news in two months compared to the news on the Mi-24, announced far far away ! ED or other partners are generally sharing more info during their module development process compared to the Mi-24. And yes it is now a lot of frustration from many of us. I really like en enjoy the ED products, the progress made during the last years was absolutely fantastic but sorry to say that the ED communication regarding the Mi-24 is shameful ! The small news begin of January sounded for me like a joke ! You can agree of disagree but for me the black hole around the Mi-24 module is a fact !

When I compare the ED Week End news and the Heatblur Friday communication..damned I fall in love of Sweden !! Thx a lot for this video....I will enjoy my week end !

Please Heatblur, could you hear us ? :music_whistling: Maybe could you develop the Mi-24 like you have developed the big cat ? A huge number of rotor heads need your expertise and even more the way you communicate which is for me really outstanding ! :smilewink:

I don't want to go outside of this topic (F-14 Status Update) but I wrote : "what is "SOMETIMES" really missing with ED". If you want some examples : - Mi-24, AH-1, BO-105 ( yes all rotary wings). - F4 announced and then abandoned - New priorities like the YAK-52 and the F-16 who have totally surprised the community. All is subject to change and that's another debate ;)

I HAVE A DREAM I have a dream... I have the dream that ED could communicate as well as the people and boss of Heatblur Simulations! It is gratifying for us to see how Heatblur communicate so effectively with the simers community. Feel that it is worrying to keep everyone informed of the progress of the module (F-14), to have regular updates and to release most likely a module within the announced deadlines. For info I am a real rotor head, my passion goes to the rotary wings but I didn't take long to order the F-14. The achievement is simply beautiful and I find that it's the best that I can do to thank and to motivate the Heatblur team. Thanks to you for the work already produced. To have understood that keeping the simers informed of the evolution of a product is an intelligent but also commercial approach that generates a simple "Win Win" effect. What is sometimes really missing with ED. Thx a lot guys and long life to the Sweden magic team ! A Belgian fan !

There's no question or doubt about that ! The Mi-24 helicopter is one of the most used combat helicopter in the world. It match perfectly with most of DCS existing and planned maps. In the future, if you want to buy ONE DCS helicopter, for sure most of the people will choose the Hind. Dual seat + transport/combat missions + the perfect Mi-8 budy (already one of the most favourite DCS module) +.... The Mi-24 is waited by the rotor heads like the F-18 or the F-16 for the fighter heads... For sure the Mi-24 will come but damned the delivery of the baby will most likely take more than 9 months ! :( A premature baby ? Who knows :music_whistling:

A new sarcastic observation : Wouahhhh Gents, have you seen the last DCS Weekend news ? Finally, a lot of information regarding the future Mi-24 module ! Oups sorry, it's on the F-16, a module announced by ED only two months ago... Viper simers have more info in two months than us in more than 2 years !!! Yes that's a very sarcastic reality... ...like when ED declare that they don't have forgotten about all the rotor-heads! Don't worry, we are ready to wait two more weeks and even years....Because we become accustomed to this. Especially for this module... Qui vivra verra...

No news regarding other modules... Only Wags game setting for F-18

For the smoke I am using a mod done by Mustang (check above) That's realy a nice one but I would like to have a more dense black smoke. Could somebody tell me what I have to change in the Lua file? Is it another lua file for the smoke coming from damaged/destroyed building or is it the same as for the vehicle ? Thx a lot, Chris

I totally agree with you ! Even in some old modules of FSX, sounds are much more better than in DCS. A nice environment is important but if you want a real immersive simulation you have to combine this environment with realistic and immersive sounds ...despite some efforts I think there is still much to do on this topic. I really love this one 10 years ago !!!:music_whistling:

No one knows the status of the model. I was just referencing the fact that the Mi-24 is announced since more than 1 year and that noting was announced except the fact that the module is still under development and that we have seen 01 screenshot. And that's a fact ! So we have to wait and I AM ASSUMING that we will probably wait for a few more months...If less than that, it would be great. So if people are thinking on flying with the Mi-24, they will probably have the time to think about the idea. Nothing more...;)

It's not what the Mi-24 can do compared to the Mi-8 or the Ka-50 or we can see on what can do the F-16 compared to the F-18, the F-14 and even the A-10 :music_whistling: I was just pointed the fact that the Ka-50, the Mi-8 or others RW will not have the same impact as the Hind or the AH-64, two of the most requested modules... I have already spent a lot of times on the Ka-50 and I love this combat helicopter but the Mi-24 is for me a complete another story even if they share some similar capabilities... In fact I am waiting this helicopter since FC3 ! Like other simers are waiting the F-16...

Mi-24 just followed by the Mi-24 and finally the Mi-24 ;)

;) I was simply pointing the fact that the Mi-24 is not only an helicopter... and can open new possibilities even for people who have never thinking on it. Same for me, a real fan of RW but I could change my mind with the DCS "Reported" F-4 or the 'coming" F-14 :pilotfly:
