  1. Notting is confirmed ! The Mi-24 seems to be the next Heli module but the Upgrade of the Ka-50 should most likely come first. Only few informations were already released on the Mi-24 despite the fact that it was announced since a long a time ago. AH-1 W or Z will for sure not release on short or medium term.
  2. +1
  3. Before the apache, what ever happened to the DCS Mi-24 Hind ? ;)
  4. Same issue for me...you have to pull your throttle (I have the Warthog ) with minimal power, salute, push power forward --> It's magic, I am flying again ! ;)
  5. Thx a lot Grant & hummingbird ! I have put your advice in practice this afternoon and I saw a great difference. Dumping the additional tanks makes it much easier to manoeuvre as well...
  6. Well, I have been starting dogfighting with my cat for a few days now and I must admit that very often it's stalling, spinning and crashing. In general, during all the dogfight I remain in afterburning (apparently advices of the real F-14 pilots). I feel like I'm not pulling too much during the roll but my speed usually drops considerably. I then notice that my flaps manoeuvring (DLC spoilers) are out and that's what breaks. As soon as I get the spoilers in, I get back to a correct speed. A "tips" or "tricks" to keep my speed is more than welcome... Is it a trick to keep a correct speed? Thank you for your help.... As soon as the dogfight is engaged, release the external cans?
  7. Smoke effects DCS 2.5 OpenBeta I have seen in different videos and screenshots a smoke effect that I can't achieve when I am under DCS 2.5. Is there a trick to have the same result (as on the picture), is it an effect that is not yet incorporated in DCS, photoshop effects or other? Thx Chris OK find ! For those who are interested :
  8. More a Simpit than an office Made for the Ka-50 but currently modified for the F-14B. But ...I look forward for the upcoming (or not) Mi-24 Hind !
  9. Yes I have 2 x 16 Gb RAM. I have just installed the last update of the OpenBeta version. It appears that the previous one was not properly installed ! So everything is now back as normal... Thxx for your support, Chris Delta59R, same for me, first mission take a while when loading and gest faster afterwards...

  11. I don't know about you, but DCS is crashing quite regularly when flying with the F-14b in the PG map. Sometimes only long Freezing of the image and sometimes even crash of DCS. I have installed different missions from users and some are not even playable. I have a very powerfull hardware configuration and I had never problems or freezing during the past (Ok I just installed a second screen for my F-14 with the HSE and VDI). On the other maps (Nevada and Caucasus) no worries, all is up and running very well. When starting the mission editor I am quite surprised because the map at the beginning takes a long time to display correctly, even more when it's the PG map. Is this also the case for some of you? For your information I have the OpenBeta version, SP missions only. Thx a lot, Chris
  12. Zoom LANTIRN : FOV (Field of View) with 3 zoom positions
  13. MrDieing Source ? Date of the screenshot ? When I see the progress on the viper, those screenshots makes me think that the Hind project has started yesterday ! Lollll
  14. I'm glad to finally hear some news about the Hind. But I notice that we are talking about a lot of things and that we can see different screenshots... BUT NO screenshot on the Hind progess! :(
  15. My point of view is if the WWII is not a primary target for ED, for sure, rotary wings are their last one ! I don't know about you, but I find that during the last weeks the information published in their WE newsletters were very limited... Fortunately, the arrival of the MIG-19 and the F-14 from Heatblur (02 third party projects !!!) have brought renewal to DCS in 2019...:music_whistling:
  16. I have received my Vibrating pad Gametrix JetSeat FSE today. It took 15 minutes to install the vibrating pad, the software and to run DCS. All was immediately up and running as expected. It's full compatible with the F-14B from heatblur. The software immediately proposed a default setting for DCS and the F-14B ! Thx Andre for this nice immersive product ! Chris
  17. Why not... Is it really a priority for ED to upgrade the Mi-24 AI? If it's in order to have a functionnal Mi-24 gunman or pilot like Jester in the F-14 module...could be interesting...
  18. I just started learning the F-14B from Heatblur. My boy is also 11 years old and the F-14 is his first DCS module. We are learning and practicing the F-14 step by step together. I do first as the pilot and he his playing the RIO with the checklist : Cold and Dark startup Takeoff and landing from Runway Pattern on the airfield Takeoff and landing from Carrier First flying the cat before using weapons or flying in combat missions After my flight we change the seat, he takes control and I am acting as the RIO. Before he takes control I give him a briefing. Sometimes is good to take a sheet op paper, a pencil and explain the aim of the flight. Drawing the mission on it. Ex : Pattern on the airfield : Takeoff runway number 08 (Why 08 and 26 ?) Witch course during the downwind ? Witch course during Base and Final ? Altitude, speed? Motivation is the key. He was so happy when he successfully made his first landing on the USS Stennis ! :megalol:
  19. So, at least 2 belgian guys dreaming of the same project... Dreaming...because, as for now, the DCS Mi-24 is more a dream than a reality :music_whistling:
  20. Quote : Dagnabit man End quote Maybe realistic man and picture ;);)
  21. Indeed, beginning of 2019, ED stated that they don't forget the rotor heads...That was the best joke of 2019. For sure and despite some statement of some others defending the non-communication of ED, I am pretty SURE that you will not see the Mi-24 in 2019. Even 2020 seems to be too optimistic... I am waiting the Mi-24 since years but now I enjoy flying the F-14 from Heatblur. And you now what, I really like their communications to the community !
  22. What's interesting to observe is the Thrustmaster stands and/or displays during the last gaming exhibitions or game events. During the past, last Air sims in their stand were equipped with their new rudder (not yet released) AND the F-18 stick. If you look on their Twitter account, during all the last events of 2019, only the A-10C Warthog was used !!! Thtat fact gives me the conclusion that we will not seen the release of the TM F-18 stick on short term !! :(:(
  23. Thrustmaster Warthog throttle issue with the F-14 FLAPS positions. FLAP swith mapped only for Full extend or disengage. No half way position like for the A-10... Maybe available for the first patch ? For the rest, congrats, your big cat is amazing (for a beta version):thumbup:
  24. + 1 My opinion is that the absence of regular updates can be explained by the fact they have simply nothing to show....More than the fact that BELSIMTEK is generally niggardly in terms of communications...
