  1. It would be a great feature to be able to have runway repair teams, both for modern scenarios and WW2. The mission editor should allow this, so that a repair team can remove damaged planes and fix bomb craters.
  2. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, WELL DONE
  3. I agree completely. the only way around it is to have another Formo at the same base for you to use...but its a pain.
  4. if its about AI Wingmen not following...thats a different story, they DONT . just using the mission editor...an AI on its own will do multiple missions with a refuel/arm between each
  5. I tried with a JU88 and Mosquito....they can do multiple missions with a refuel rearm stop.
  6. Absolutely !! I will check for you, I have Transports flying multiple legs with fueling stops etc...
  7. Thats the way to go for sure
  8. I recently saw a post where a few chaps were saying that using the DLSS swopper really helped them with stutters and performance in general. Snag is ...after an update, we revert to the older version. Would DCS consider updating our registry with each patch...to stay with the updated DLSS ? Has anyone used it succesfully....is it a difficult process
  9. I get the same...mine are in a band right across the middle on my screen horizontally, really annoying
  10. This is Surely such a FUNDAMENTAL part of mission design..and its in the options..., the fact it does not work is Not good at all. Thank you for trying BIGNEWY....we live in HOPE
  11. The number of objects in the Approach paths on the Normany Map are just ridiculous. I created Rectangular Trigger zones...to cover every approach that was badly compromised....then used "Remove scenery" in that zone.....works perfectly
  12. My system, 8700K cpu, maximus x mobo, 64 Gb 3200mhz RAM, 2080ti GPU With these settings even on busy missions I have made, I get great FPS and smooth running....on all Maps
  13. Civil Traffic on the Normandy map is a killer....caused massive stutters for me. I have also set Grass to lowest possible, basically OFF...also helps
  14. where can we get the WW 2 ships ???? So Badly need them
  15. I think thats also a very valid point...the Trains issue is now really in need of attention, and in Normandy its Terrible
  16. I do have a MODS folder...but its not the issue, neither is any form of scripting etc, the Civil Traffic...is just the road traffic...directly from the mission editor. Turning it OFF really seems to smooth out my system.
  17. Noticed this a few days ago, as you zoom away from the B 17...but are still relatively close...all the internal structure, pilots etc vanish. Have not been aware of this before the last updates
  18. I think I have nailed the ROOT cause of the stuttering on my missions......CIVIL TRAFFIC. most of my " completed missions" have around 1500 total assets/units. give or take a few hundred does help the overall stuttering...but by far the Biggest cause is Civil Traffic. Turning it off and all my missions run smoothly.
  19. I have been trying to track down the cause of an irritating stutter, in my large missions. The stutter is metronomic...like a pulse. Reducing the complexity and number of units helped...with my system 1500 +_ total units is the limit for me. The cause of the Stutter would appear to be the CIVIL TRAFFIC. The moment my system gets loaded...civil traffic causes horrible stuttering. So...on all missions its now OFF...and they smooth as silk.
  20. Bouncing on landing...as you say Hazzer...can be many things. For me in the Stang...still to fast when the wheels touch for the first time is the main reason. If you going for a 3 point landing...hold off at 1 foot above the runway till she settles...if you doing a Wheeler...as the mains touch you must immediately check a touch forward, if you dont...a whole series of bounces of increasing severity is absolutely garenteed.
  21. Hi, Thats exactly how I feel. Its a real pity you shelved the development....It would be really great to have Propper Locos and Rolling stock for Normandy.
  22. After hours of testing I have found the reason for my mission Stutter...To many Ground units. Soldiers, AAA, etc. Even though they are not moving...my CPU was not happy ( i7 8700K ) I have trimmed down the number of units...and sorted. The Zooming FPS drop on this map is still there...
  23. The Trains really need so serious attention, they are terrible...running below the tracks...wheels that dont turn....HOPELESS
  24. I have been experimenting for a few weeks to try and find why missions I make on the Normandy map have the most stuttering. I have my FPS set to Max 120 using the In Game options If I use a Blank Map...and simply zoom in or out, there is a phase where the FPS Drop significantly, to 50 or so. Then as you continue, they recover to 120. I have tested this on Caucasus, Syria, Gulf Maps....and it Does Not Happen. FPS stay pegged at 120 no matter the Zoom position. I have made many missions using the mission editor, some are very complex indeed, but the FPS remains pretty constant when flying them...EXCEPT for the Normandy Map. The Normandy Map even with small missions, gives me a metronomic Stutter, its a cpu spike aver 3 or so seconds. Could there be some underlying issue in the Normandy Map causing this ?
  25. There are some guys doing great work on the Fringes of DCS in the Moddeling forums. Ship builders, AI modules etc , all on their own time and with Zero reward. Its a great pity DCS cannot find some way of getting these chaps to be included, closer to the Primary development teams. There really is a Wealth of tallent and skill thats being over looked.
