  1. Absolutely agree. We need a benchmark, a standard to go by. The universal unit standards of 'fine' and 'here' dont really cut it.
  2. No idea why this hasnt been posted here yet, but a former (1998 to 2014) US Kiowa pilot gives us a in-depth look into the Polychop Kiowa. This is a super-detailed explanation and cockpit orientation in the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Cockpit from Polychop. This is for nerds. Most of the stuff I talk about doesn't have much application in the game, but it'll give you some background information on some of the systems and switchology. This is Pt 1 of a multi-part series starting from engine start, through a runup. Part 2 in a series covering detailed information about the KW cockpit and systems. This video takes you through pre-starting engines to just before the battery is turned on. For detail freaks only. This is for nerds!
  3. Fantastic work, Hornet81. Thank you for sharing this with us .
  4. I thought it made have been a sheep in the radar dome tumbling around, and releasing string as needed.
  5. No problems here either (Open Beta). Make sure it (Pointing cross) is tracking inside the 'Keyhole'.
  6. Cheating and not realistic says the guy behind a monitor in the comfort and safety of your own home, running a game and holding a toy, while having in-game bionic vision and owl like abilities.
  7. The handy little FLOLS overlay seen in the , will that be a SC only thing, or a DCS generic?
  8. Thats a Lightning alright. Impressive work. Have fun Decoy
  9. Scroll down a little and choose your era (or maker) of interest, and go from there: http://www.airvectors.net/idx_wmil.html
  10. 1966 - American F-102 Delta Dagger's over Vietnam.
  11. You shouldnt try to mimic an owl, but instead twist in your seat/chair and look, just like the real jockeys do. To check my six, I place my left shoulder where my right shoulder is/would be (roughly), when sitting normally, and look around the 'headrest'. So I shuffle around in the seat to see what is going on back there. And Im pretty sure, that adding any kind of a curve to the VR tracking will make you nauseous very fast. Its what really makes VR good, the 1:1 tracking.
  12. 'Just' need Alaska :)
  13. Its mentioned in the Q1E Development Update, Future of the F-14.
  14. Figured this was the best place to post this video. Timeless classic about anti-aircraft flak. This film provides an in-depth look at the weapons and methods of German and Japanese anti-aircraft warfare, and highlight the evasive actions utilized by U.S. bomber crews.
