MASSIVE fps drop after update to 2.7
Knock-Knock replied to flankerjun's topic in Game Performance Bugs
For what its worth, I saw little to no change in VR (maybe a bit smoother), but single screen and dual (two viewports) took a nosedive with about 30-40% loss. - i5-4670K, 32Gb, GTX 1070 (v461.40), CV1 (PD 1.0 with 2xMSAA), 1440p (and 2560x2520 for dual). -
Now I dont have The Channel Map, so I dont know if these are modelled or included. But I would expect refineries, synthetic fuel factories, petrolium and oil storage depots, to be high on the target priority lists.

For what its worth, I nibbled these out of a NATO AAR document a while ago. When I bought the F/A-18C, F-14B, AV8B, Mirage 2000C, Syria map and World War II Asset Pack, minimum requirement was X. Now time has passed and I still havent received the full products, and requirements have changed since then, and now for me to receive the full products down the line, I have to upgrade. Now Im still inside minimum hardware requirements (not OS though), but many others arent, and I really dont think this is fair to your customers, especially when you can lower the video memory usage substantially with little effort and very little, if any, loss in quality. For me its more a principle thing, you are changing the requirements under us, stopping me/us from receiving any further updates on a products I/we have bought, but not received yet. And sure, DCS wont magically stop working with less than 1070 hardware, but look how well optimization went when the minimum requirements was a 2 Gb card. And for all the just upgrade and buy new hardware people. We arent all so lucky that we can do this. There is a freaking world wide pandemic with continuous lock downs, and many have lost their jobs or even worse, their business. Even without the pandemic, there are people who cant afford to upgrade, simple as that. I would have no problems if requirements changed for future products, but not for products already sold.

I use it for showing military installations in Persian Gulf, Syria and Caucasus. http://wikimapia.org/#lang=en&lat=26.941660&lon=56.315918&z=8&m=w&tag=516 Contains a lot of useless info (marks), but equally a lot of useful ones. Just have to sift trough'em.

Will this be included in the coming update? https://www.google.com/maps/@35.4725142,35.9198256,980m/data=!3m1!1e3 Just a few miles north of Bassel Al-Assad. Syrian Navy helicopters moved there when the Russian arrived at Bassel Al-Assad.

Seeking clarification about end of Windows 7 support.
Knock-Knock replied to Knock-Knock's topic in Chit-Chat
Correct, and the time frame more importantly. Things are not always easy here in these lock down times, so simply wondering about a time frame. -
Just wondering how much wiggle room I will have. When is 2.7 due, is it the planned update on Jan 27? Is it in February, March, when? And will DCS just bang stop working with 2.7, or is it more a question of, might not, and with further updates chances are more and more will be broken etc?

"ME. Added ability to copy and paste Coordinate" .. How?
Knock-Knock replied to REL's topic in Mission Editor
Place mouse cursor where you want it, and hit CTLR+Y (either). Will pop up a new window with various coordinate formats. - Which I btw hope will make it to the F10 map too. -
Well put. I cant believe they havent jumped on this yet.

Are they all 3 the exact same monitors? Different panels have different input lag (time it takes for it to process the signal from the graphics card and display it).

reported Ships facing North when positioned in harbours
Knock-Knock replied to Soames's topic in Mission Editor Bugs
Same here, Persian Gulf and Syria map. Have had luck with moving some ships to a different pier and they would sit as I put them, but mostly they just point north, often resulting in them hitting the pier, getting damage and even exploding. And often they are also invisible, and only their shadows are visible. This still happens after the 23rd hotfix.
