fixed ALT Forests Layer covers important details

Thank you -
VR will also suffer when the poly count goes up, and it does with the Hind. In 2D: Hind = 1.78M and 69 fps Ka-50 = 630K and 74 fps F-16 = 1M and 72 fps In VR: Hind = 2.38M and 40 fps Ka-50 = 1M and 45 fps* F-16 = 1.26M and 45 fps* * dont know how much above 45 it was. Surprised it wasnt around double from 2D to VR, due to two viewports in VR (not enabled the stereo_mode_use_shared_parser). Maybe some things have optimized. These were hot on ramp heli's and jet, same spot.

Yes. Thx ED .

With the F-5E we get to choose between a linear and none-linear control option in 'Specials'. I use a extended center mounted stick (20cm extension), and that doesnt feel to good with the F-16's current deadzones in both pitch and roll, plus none-linear curve. I would really like to see a Linear option without deadzone. Any chance?

Please make an option to turn these canopy reflections off
Knock-Knock replied to iLOVEwindmills's topic in MiG-21Bis
Dont think that made it into OB. Nothing here, and a search on 'Mig-21_CP.edm.lua' gives no result. In ..\Mods\aircraft\MIG-21bis\Shapes its only the Mig-21_CP.edm file. -
correct as-is In-Cockpit Engine Sound with V 2.7 Stable
Knock-Knock replied to Bob1943's topic in Bugs and Problems
Im a big fan of the 2.7 sounds. Cant base any of that on real life experiences, I just like the way it sounds. More immersive for me. -
Im not, about half that, just came to see the relic .

Well Im guessing new modules will fall under this too, so try the Hind, Apache etc, before buying. So can give it a go and see if the given state of EA meets personal requirements, and then try again in 6 months later if it didnt, and see how it is then. -

Help Setting 6 Projector Dome Screen FOV
Knock-Knock replied to FLITer's topic in DCS World Tutorial & Help Requests
Not a solution to your 'single' screen FOV problem, but is it possible to couple two screens as one in Mosaic (the two on the left, two in front, two on the right), so you can boil it down to running 3 viewports in DCS. That should free up some performance compared to 6 viewports (can imagine that being a huge framehog). And please do keep us posted with this setup, cause damn! -
fixed new clouds corruption
Knock-Knock replied to dorianR666's topic in Weather System Bugs & Problems
@hornblower793I need to keep an eye on that. I think random, and I cant say if its limited to a given cloud preset, or cloud preset type, or time of day, or cloud preset + time of day etc. I'll keep a lookout. -
fixed new clouds corruption

I see these black objects too, in VR. They are flashing for just a single frame or so though, and only at a few per hour, so not very frequent. -
Its storage space for the Armée de l'air pilot emergency kit.

You could always add CTLD beacons trough ME. -- Creates a radio beacon on a random UHF - VHF and HF/FM frequency for homing -- This WILL NOT WORK if you dont add beacon.ogg and beaconsilent.ogg to the mission!!! -- e.g. ctld.createRadioBeaconAtZone("beaconZone","red", 1440,"Waypoint 1") will create a beacon at trigger zone "beaconZone" for the Red side -- that will last 1440 minutes (24 hours ) and named "Waypoint 1" in the list of radio beacons

Nah, I ran with no exclusions, then tried with when you mentioned it, and since no change, I removed them again. A while later I wanted to check if the list would populate quicker (in the background) if I ticked Favorites, and thats when I discovered that main lobby populated fast suddenly. Then tried with exclusions again (still fast), and with exclusions removed (still fast). So dunno. No Windows restarts between all this though.
-
@Flappie I dont know if anything was changed in the background just now, cause my server list is populating very fast now. 150+ servers per second, and continues with that until the list is fully populated 8 or so seconds later. Still getting cpu hits (tracking and mouse freeze), but with the speed it populates its not a big problem, cause as soon as the its done, everything is smooth again.
-
Yea its bad in VR. Excluding DCS from anti-virus doesnt help. Forgot to mention, that ticking Favorites, I get a list of about 10 servers, and the lobby becomes fully responsive again. Even when coming from a super laggy lobby.
-
I didnt have that, I could still interact with other programs after ALT+Tab, and eventually close DCS trough Task Manager. This was in VR. As I mentioned a while back, it seems exponential, so my list populates like this (in VR): Around 100 servers per second for about 4 seconds. Around 50 servers per second for about 4 seconds. Lag starts becoming noticable. Around 25 servers per second for about 4 seconds. The cpu hits become hard, tracking stops for a second when moving the head. Around 10 servers per second for about 4 seconds. Now it really starts lagging. Around 5 servers per second for about 4 seconds. Lag is massive. Eventually 1 server per second, and from server 800 and on, it would get 1 server per second for about 4-5 seconds, then pause for about 5 seconds, then 1 server per second for about 4-5 seconds, then pause for 5 etc etc etc. And everytime I would move my mouse cursor, it would not respond for about 10 seconds, and it wouls also stop recieving servers. I kept it running past 1000 servers. Through all this my cpu load was 34-35% in Task Manager.
-
In 2D, yes slightly. Mine starts becoming laggy a little earlier than yours, and then it seems exponential from there. In VR, a lot more.
-
Both. But its more sensitive in VR. Cursor and tracking (interface moves, so the lag is very noticable) freezes between update pulses, and the GUI starts lagging from around 200 servers already. In 2D cursor isnt effected, but the interfaces is lagging just as with VR, but doesnt really start becoming noticable until around 800 servers. Just tested both now, so seems my above statement that it has become better wasnt correct, was just because I was in 2D and not VR.
-
No. Seems to have improved a little with the last few hotfixes. It didnt start to 'get stuck' until having populated the list with around 800 servers, but then it started with the usual unresponsive lobby GUI. Can hover over 'Exit' for example and it takes several seconds before it lights up. Same goes if you press it, and it just gets worse (longer) as time passes.
