No problem dude cheers

Maybe you can post a video or track file when it happens. Oh and did you try the slew buttons when it happens, to rule out any fault on the hardware.
-
There is no button for locking any cursor in place. You are probably trying to slew the tgp without setting it SOI first. Although if i were you i would check the controls menu and confirm your slew axis or buttons are working properly.

I dont think so, if im not mistaken ours only sees the layer it is currently in and unless you punch in other layers manually, that single layer will be the base of calculations. Edit: gotta add one more thing, the guy in the AMAA' s a10 is suite 8 something ours is suite 3. I dont know if suite 3 has that capability irl.
-
IIRC wind is not punched in manually, computer creates the layers automaticly Edit: quote from the a10 pilot AMAA on reddit "The IFFCC builds its own wind tables continuously during flight. There is an option to set your own values but I've never tried it out." Here is the link to it if you wanna read, a10 pilot amaa

Did you check your rpm during landing? Maybe you are degrading your engine before attempting vtol.

I just started the OPF again couple of days ago, that c-130 bug eventually fixes itself. Just speed up the time while you are waiting on the taxiway for it to crash or if you dont want to wait disable the ground safety and shoot down the jeep to clear the taxiway then proceed with your takeoff. Ive tried both and they work.

Why are the campaigns called "Training" when they are really tests?
kylekatarn720 replied to Sholtz's topic in Maple Flag
Well, like wildbill said, they are check rides, and thats the proper startup procedure so its checking if you know how to do it or not. IIRC every mission in that campaign has a practice mission before the tests, so it teaches you what to do first then it lets you do it on your own and gives you a score on how much of it you can accomplish. That particular campaign being the "basic flight training", it shows you the basics of flight. -

Can not get the "New tasking" message in the TAD

Im not sure on this but can you check the mission file via mission editor and make sure the "datalink" option is checked under advanced waypoint options -
Pretty sure he is trying to input mgrs into latlong format Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk

1. is not autopilot but pac engaging on and off with master arm 2. It shouldnt drift to either side when anti-skid is on 3. Morse code signals should be from ils or tacan and im guessing you are using the wrong radio or wrong frequency to contact ground crew Try switching easy comms on and contacting ground with that on. If it works like that, then you are doing something wrong with the radio.

Did you check your controls indicator? Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk

Just below the master arm, to the left

I tried but couldnt get it to work like that when i was using logitech extreme 3d pro. I think it doesnt function like a key anymore after you make it a modifier. Edit: If you dont use the gun without the pac, you can try something something like this. Lets say, when you press your trigger dcs shows you a "button 1" in the adjust controls page, you can bind an extra keyboard button to that trigger. So when you hold down your trigger, dcs will input button 1 and a keyboard button at the same time. if you just bind that keyboard button to pac2, then it should activate pac and fire your cannon at the same time with just a single trigger press Im using this method to force my radio control hat on my throttle to both control the in-game radio and teamspeak at the same time. JoyToKey is the name of the program im using for it.
-
Try setting that pinky switch as a modifier Then bind pinky+trigger for pac2. Edit: although im not sure it works like that. i mean holding down the button first and modifier second. Just checked it, doesnt work like that. But it works if you dont use a modifier. i mean using two individual buttons for pac1 and pac2.

Trying a circuit around the airfield should be better practice in my opinion. I ve never tried doing an orbit with tacan but you can try doing something like this, align your aircraft with the runway and when you pass the end point of the runway start a 30 degree level turn until your heading changes 180 degrees, lower the bank angle to 15 degrees and keep it like that. This should more or less keep you in an orbit around the airfield. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk

why do you need to move your head? you can see your hud and instruments all at the same time

Gauging distance to ATC waypoint for landing?
kylekatarn720 replied to bunraku's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Im not sure but that 12 miles should be between the point where you talked to atc and the point they tell you to go to. So in your case, when atc tells you to go 12 miles on bearing 180, the course line corresponding to that distance value should be on N-S. Edit: and ah i wouldnt bother but if you really wanna do it, you can use the mark point button on cdu to mark your current position while you are talking to the atc. Then you can use the bearing and range values that you get from the atc to create an offset waypoint from the mark point you ve just created. To create an offset waypoint you need to use the offset page of the cdu. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk -
No SPI msg after editing mission. A10C
kylekatarn720 replied to Xerigon's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
something is not right with the waypoints, even if you change the elevation values from the mission editor it doesnt work. So just input elevation data through CDU in to the waypoints. That fixes it. -
No SPI msg after editing mission. A10C
kylekatarn720 replied to Xerigon's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I ve just tried the the mission. Sensors are working, you can set SPI with tad, tgp, mav, hud but there seems to be something wrong with the waypoints, TAD gives a no elevation error when you try to hook them. Although after a minute of flying they just became normal on their own so i could hook them and make them SPI. Edit: They dont became normal on their own, i was hooking the jtacs position by mistake. -
To be honest, i ve never tried it with 2.1 but i see no reason for it to not work. Getting deleted with updates is really not an issue cos they are just getting deleted from the game files not from the program itself. Beauty of that program is , you can organise your custom kneeboards pretty easily and without any kind of confusion, trust me on this one gazace use it. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
