  1. I can't believe this got so few replies... this is badly needed for any kind of realistic A/A co-op missions
  2. We have been seeing a game freeze / crash to desktop behaviour when releasing laser guided bombs (GBU-10 and GBU-12). Attached is a track and a tacview file showing two aircraft freezing within a short amount of time from one another, directly as a result of pickling their LGBs. The moment happens at 07:10 local time (04:10 zulu) and 07:16 local (04:16z). Pilots involved 'CSG-3 | Kung Fu | 210' and 'CSG-3 | Tex | 201' : Tacview: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EvqD3t1LA9hWgTZwZGiDxwxzeNo1aasN/view?usp=sharing Serverside track: https://drive.google.com/file/d/15BRGlII9Tbu2qPh9O8EMPNk6M2hwNI7h/view?usp=sharing
  3. I recently released a JSOW C without populating PP mode on it and it kept gliding for in excess of 250 miles, with hardly any altitude loss...
  4. Better Smoke mod is beautiful...
  5. at the risk of threadomancy, this problem is still alive and well...
  6. Bru, you're outdoing yourself every release! This looks stunning, I just dropped come CBU-99 and Rockeyes and the effects were superb! Well done!
  7. Apologies if this is an incorrect area to post this, but I am not able to post in DCS 2.5 Bugs section. I noticed that selecting an object or plane on the F10 map is no longer persistent. In pre-August 2020 versions, you could select a plane or a vehicle (e.g. to then hop into an F2/F7 view quickly) or to read its coordinates card on the bottom left. If you then returned to F1, and then back to F10, the map would keep your previous selection. This meant you could quickly hop onto your wingman's F2 view by pressing F10-F2 in quick succession, for example. You could also peek GPS coordinates of your target while inputting them to a waypoint in your cockpit. post August-2020, the behaviour is that the F10 map re-sets to nothing selected every time you open it. Reproduction steps: Open F10 map select an object hit F1 open F10 again to see the selection is no longer applied
  8. Having reviewed this on the same mission a couple times, I realised that occasionally the AI tornados around me get destroyed by bombardment pressure waves while on taxi in front of me (honestly I didn't realise this would've been modelled, but it seems to be!). Thank you so much for reviewing this so quickly. I myself tried to reproduce it a few times and didn't manage, so if I ever do, I will reopen this thread.
  9. worth noting is also that the waypoint designation of WPT2 was mis-aligned on the HUD. It should have been pointing at a bridge crossing, nearer to the coast.
  10. Hello, Attached is a track showing a successful alignment using STD HDG and then switching to IFA. After departure, hud VV suddenly departs and cannot be restored. No damage taken in early stages of the flight. Many thanks! hud issues.zip
  11. looking forward to it! Full Steam ahead! ;)
  12. some of these setups are absolutely mindbogglingly awesome :D I'm very impressed :D
  13. I'm using the Saitek Av8r and dual throttles are sweet :D
  14. did you try all the mirrors? the FTP ones usually work.
  15. sorry - I only just discovered that the new version came out, which is why I said it's lovely ( <3 = ♥). thanks!
  16. as usual - top notch stuff! <3
  17. new version: <3
  18. I am a noob, but I've been playing on hyper-lobby for more than a month now, flying both A2G and A2A planes and not a single time was I vulched, even with over 15 people in the air. This makes vulching, in my personal experience, very rare, for all the reasons mentioned in the OP. Also, in real life the ground crew along with the airplanes are much more vulnerable to aerial strikes due to the fact it takes a fair bit more time to actually taxi the plane fromt eh hangars to the runway - in LO it's a matter of 30 seconds spooling up and some afterburner and wheelbrakes abuse to get you into the patter within one minute from logging in - hardly any time for a strike force to aquire you visually, adjust their own aspect and actually fire at you. So I say: gogogogogo vulching 4tw <3
  19. Ironhand is who I show to my mates when I boast about how cool LOMAC is - you rule man :] thanks for the new tutorial - DLing <3
  20. it does sound about right. It has to be different for each individual armour design.
  21. It's fantastic - but I agree that it has the annoying tendency (as all discovery-channel-like clones) to slap the US flag in your face :D That aside - loving the CG :D
  22. I used to play it on my modded 8MB RAM amiga - it was by far the best helicopter simulator to date, imho :D
