@ASWthank you for the link . I see that you can draw a pf rectangle but it is not clear which button you push to enable that. I can press L1 and get a nf rectangle with the cursor. But in a default TSD view, moving the cursor does not generate a rectangle @admikisee my comment to ASW

In this video at 3:31 Wags draws a dotted rectangle. How does one do this? I tried holding cursor depress and dragging the cursor but nothing happens.

Today for whatever reason, the DCS validation servers were not working. The launcher screen would not login. I pressed the launch button and it said you can fly with free modules only. I said ok and then got to the little DCS login dialog we used to have before the patch. After 5 min it you can fly offline. DCS started with all of my modules active. Consider changing that first dialog to say you can play offline with your modules.

Well, I tried logging in today after being online yesterday. The login screen took forever. I tried to continue and it said 'free modules only'. I waited and tried again. Again the launch dialog (the one with the dcs videos and the launch button) kept trying to login- after 5 min I then got to the the little dialog with the progress bar we used to have. It went on for minutes but then said I could login offline. I guess the two step login has different behavior at each step.

With the recent update, starting DCS results in a splash screen with some icons along the left side and a 'launch dcs' button in the bottom right. At the top right is the account info. Today all I see at the top right is a little radar sweep. Trying to launch DCS gives a warning dialog "login in progress. Please wait or press Continue to launch DCS with free modules only". In the past, I could launch offline mode with all my modules. Is this the new normal?

This explains why my gb6-sfw is missing the mark in my experience. thank you for your research. I tried changing the azimuth of the bomb (keeping my heading the same) and I could never fix it.

I know that F5 gives an external view of nearby and F7 shows ground units. Is there a way for example if I am at Sukhumi on the ground to then go to the F10 map, click on a spot and then F7 to see it?

If you are running an ASUS board, you can get the original drivers stripped of all the bs by someone named, mokichu, at the asus forums rog-forum.asus.com/t5/hardware-build-advice/index-all-my-drivers-firmware-software-threads/m-p/827232 ASUS audio drivers in particular are buggy since they try to do weird enhancements and use a lot of cpu

Only HUD brightness has an axis. Can we have an axis UFCP lights and the other two knobs on the UFCP.. Also, is it possible to make axes for the the display brightness and contrast? I realize that the aircraft has rocker switches

so i am doing the taxi lesson in nevada. I made sure to follow the taxi route and waited patiently at the yellow stop line. When nothing happened I moved out to the runway and waited again. I waited by the '31' but nothing. I crawled a little further and heard the tower clear me for take off but the instructor's voice was not heard. What am I missing? I did the Kola taxi and takeoff no problem

Agree, much of the ground is just vomit without the chunks. Ok iget it, it’s flat. But how bout some things on the ground? Cars on a road? Military vehicles? Smoke from a campfire? An animal here and there?

Why isnt ED using AI to write its code? They could 10x the output with the same staff?

why does simshaker not work in some multiplayer servers? I was on the 'longshot' server yesterday and simshaker was silent although it worked in other servers as well as SP missions.
