  1. Yes yes yes. ED already told us they will do it but not when they will do it. You can calm down now ;-)
  2. Guys, its pretty simple. At taxi speeds (0-20knots) use NWS, 20 - 50ish (until rudder starts working) use differential braking (carefully) and after that the rudder will work. When you land, land gently on the centreline, let the chute come out and just let it roll until the rudder doesn't work anymore, then differential brakes then NWS once it is slow. I promise you'll crash a real one if you try to NWS at 100knots too.
  3. Doesn't work for VR :(
  4. My experience, and those that fly with me, is that the general performance is much worse than that in BF and in Dynamic DCS and similar servers. I see lots of people quoting high numbers, much higher than you are reporting, and some of it is hard to believe. I'll try and remember to post a screenshot of my afterburner curves next time, to illustrate.
  5. The CPU usage is low yes because DCS only uses 2 / 4 cores. I also have 50% usage. Are you sure you measure in Blue Flag, somewhere near the fighting, when there's a bunch of people online?
  6. 1.5 doesn't use much GPU because it is severely cpu-limited by DirectX calls, like i said mine runs at average 22FPS with GPU usage at 35% when I'm on Blue Flag. I can show the graphs. What CPU do you use?
  7. I get 11-22 fps, i5 7600k@4.5, 32gb ddr4, 1070 and VR. Gpu usage low. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Blue Flag runs CTLD so the helos are used to take repair crates to FARPS and Airbases, to transport troops to FARPS, airbases and fuelbases in order to capture them and to erect base defenses (IR SAM troops and SA-6 sites). In short the helos are an integral part of blue flag, your team cannot win without them. Mi8 is only on red team so if you join, join red. Blue has Gazelle and Huey, Red has Huey, Ka-50 and Mi8.
  9. What would you like to know?
  10. In reality, people will duct tape a GPS / GLONASS unit into the cockpit if they have to. I certainly would. The F10 map with only you on it kinda simulates this idea.
  11. You can change the frequencies on your radio, so organise between your flights which frequencies to use for special purposes.
  12. So it preloads a minimum and has to keep loading more, as you fly around. Try maxing out the preload radius.
  13. Do you have DCS installed on an SSD? Either way, that sounds like something loading, try upping your pre-loading distance.
  14. I have this problem in the Campaign too. Started at mission 4.
  15. Blue WON! After some massive battles with hectic base defense from Red (Snowman, looking at you, well done!), Blue's bigger numbers where overwhelming in the end. Can we please have a reset?
  16. Yeah... Something's wrong. Unless you are measuring on a multiplayer server. There bad things happens. On an empty mission over Las Vegas you should be getting plenty of frames with your setup. On lowest settings it certainly shouldn't be dropping below 45 ever.
  17. You're running stuff at high with MSAA at 8x though right? Something is amiss with your game settings. A 1070 should be able to run DCS at 45fps easily enough. Most other games runs at 90fps with 2x supersample and the works. DCS is a bit of a killer.
  18. The Mirage 2000 currently doesn't have compressor stalls unless you fly really high and the current flight model has a strange oscillation at high speed that rapidly results in your destruction :-)
  19. Is there something we can do to help you guys analyze the performance? There was pretty bad warping last night when the server had just restarted. Also I was flying from kutaisi and had pretty terrible framerates over ambrolauri farp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. The AJS trim is pretty slow. You're supposed to set trim to 3º before you take off (if taking a X-Tank). It IS annoying when you air start with a neutral plane and the nose wants to dive. That should probably be fixed.
  21. Use pixel density of 1.0 for maximum visibility. Your framerate will be better too. Setting this higher can cause the something that should display as 1 dark pixel to instead be displayed as 1 slightly darker pixel. Seriously. Set the PD higher if you want to be able to read the dials a bit easier but for seeing things far away leave it on 1
  22. You guys are flying too high and too slow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. There's clearly something up with all kinds of spotting in DCS. Last night two of us couldn't tell whether the plane at the other end of Kutaisi runway was an F15 or an A10. I was in the oculus, the other player on a 1080p monitor. Even zoomed in I could only tell what it was when the plane was halfway down to the runway already. When one zooms in and out units appears and disappears too. This can't be correct either. They should be visible unzoomed as far as they would be zoomed in.
