  1. On NTTR you leave out the leading 1 for longitude i.e. 36° 6' 52.7292'' N and 115° 10' 22.1268'' W. becomes 360653 151022. I used the Viggen on Normandy but used a flightplan from the ME. I guess one can look at such coordinates displayed then just enter them in that way.
  2. Presumably stuff like lighting and clouds will be improved (as you can see on the Hornet videos). I was under the impression that those maps are done and only incremental changes will be made.
  3. Server froze again tonight at 9:16 UTC Edit: 9:23 UTC now and it is still frozen
  4. I believe this was turned on deliberately.
  5. Maybe we can use this thread to document errors we find in the documentation. Mission 2 Briefing, P1: "The pod has a listening mode that scoops up electrons from radio transmitters – early warning radars, search radars, acquisition radars and the like – and records them so that out ELINT guys can find and map enemy threat systems" Radio transmitters don't send out electrons, they send out electromagnetic waves, no electrons are exchanged.
  6. 3GB+ update. What else is updated?
  7. I agree. Your current machine is plenty. Try 2.2 if you're not sure but I'm guessing it'll run a lot better than 1.5.8. 1.5.x runs horribly, esp if the mission has a bunch of AI.
  8. The server froze multiple times tonight. Basically a complete freeze for several minutes then a recovery / restart.
  9. Oh right. Explains my problems Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. In multiplayer the BK90s are modelled as huge bombs. I think when the first one explodes it destroys the second one so you only get one explosion on target. Only workaround at the moment is to drop them one by one (defeats the purpose of them, yes).
  11. Dangerman was a Tornado pilot if I'm not mistaken.
  12. Yeah I agree, the server didn't crash but it was straining under the load, people rubber banding, etc.
  13. Sochi, when controlled by Red, only has a tf-51 slot. Is this the correct behaviour? No Mig-21 / Mi8 etc ? Makes it very difficult to protect and blue can spawn the whole hog there.
  14. FC3 planes can only be rearmed if their engines are completely spooled down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. The darker shade thing happens to me and others too. This doesn't cause a crash for me though, when I move my plane a bit the darker shade goes away. THe crashes on mission exit sounds like the SceneVR.lua problem. Find that file in the Scripts\DemoScenes folder and delete it. The crashes occur when: 1. You use VR 2. You used F10 map during a mission 3. You exit the mission Crash occurs on mission exit.
  16. Just being pedantic here but: The tightness of the grouping -> Precision The distance of grouping from aim point -> Accuracy
  17. I agree. The next level of approximation up would be * nicer ragdoll physics for the hose * collisions with the basket / plane * only allow connections from open end * make it indestructible / no damage to plane

  19. They're not being logged though, which leads to people just reporting the highest numbers they see.
  20. The Moose framework has an example mission that makes SAMs behave more realistically, switching off their radars etc.
  21. Yes! Also, I think when you use dual racks on the Mk-83 you actually just get two bombs on the triple rack, and not on the sides, one on the bottom and one on the side.
  22. You'll find that even modern planes IRL have MASSIVE issues with dealing with SA-10, -11, -15 and -19 and most won't allow them get close to an area where these are operating.
  23. Every module should at the very least have a full set of training missions so you at least have something to do once you've bought it. Training missions and a SP campaign are the least devs can give us (for all modules). At the moment, even planes like F5 and Viggen are only somewhat fun in a game sense, unless you use them in MP or cobble together your own missions. This module has NOTHING going for it, except that it represents a plane that can take-off and land and make turns. You can do aerobatics by yourself but there's no feedback on your progress or skills. Doing fancy maneuveres on a PC isn't fun by itself, because there's no physical sensations (even in VR), so you need something else to make it more worthwhile, hence my suggestion that DCS gets a way to create and score aerobatics maneuveres. A system like this would be useful for all modules, because we can do aerobatics with most of the existing modules.
  24. In my opinion, two things will greatly benefit this module. 1. Training. Training in how to fly this aircraft and training in the art of aerobatics. 2. A system that allows one to set up an Aresti plan (that's your mission, say) and then SCORES you on your execution of it.
