  1. Hahahahah 10 hours lol. I agree with everything you say but spare a thought for those of us with ADSL lines. For me, if my line and everything is running at full speed, 40 GB will take 15 hours. At the moment, I'm still waiting for Friday's update to complete because something is messed up between my ISP and ED's servers. My HTTP download is coming in at less than 40kB/s. #FML.
  2. I love the frequent updates. I don't care if they're not pixel perfect. You're doing us a big favour by showing them to us and we appreciate that a lot.
  3. OK, why is the HTTP not compressed then? Save on download time and all that?
  4. Why is the update via Torrent (today) 6GB and the HTTP update is 16GB?
  5. Most of the slots haven't been enabled yet. There is only a small number of bases active at the moment, so you'll need to find closish targets for now ;-)
  6. Looks like it... https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/newsletters/newsletter02062017.html
  7. Website is giving a 500 Error currently.
  8. My 1070 runs pretty close to 100% in places at 1080p. 1440p is going to push it over the limit. Run MSI Afterburner and see what's the bottleneck for you.
  9. Maybe a lua file somewhere you can mod. F15s can't actually carry them, IRL, or the game.
  10. I think you need a lot of money to put stuff into a server rack. Those server computer parts are expensive. Not cheap like gamer parts ;-)
  11. The computer chip on the motherboard that is screwed to the server rack :-)
  12. Anyone ever overclock a server rack before?
  13. Can we have South Africa as a country in the list too? The SAAF took part in WWII (P51, Spitfire), The Berlin Airlift (DC3) and Korea (P51, F86). This would be grand. Our flag was different in those days. If you do put ZA in however, the new flag should be used (for reasons).
  14. I posted this in another thread but here's mine running over Caen with most things on High. Yes, a lot of memory is being used and a lot of loading seems to be happening. Edit: i7-6700@3.4, 32GB 2133Mhz, 8GB GTX1070, SSD Edit2: 1920x1080
  15. A Huey and a Mike model Gazelle could easily enough take a FARP before. Let's see how the new version is going to work. Looks like we'll need to re-work some of our strategies a bit.
  16. I think you'll find us literally chomping at the bits to, errr, help test, this new iteration :D
  17. I feel ambivalent about armed helos being able to attack FARPs. I have managed to basically take a FARP mostly by myself using a Huey with only forward guns, rocket pods and a mortar crew. It flies rubbish with the rocket pods though, even with only 40% fuel and no door gunners. However, it is very dangerous as even the armed barracks is a massive danger, not to mention the shilkas. Never stopped me from trying though.
  18. Its not online yet. The team is currently updating it.
  19. I see this in places on NTTR too.
  20. This sounds great. Will some of these be attackable with planes without precision munitions? E.g. Structures one can see further than a mile or two? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. It goes away when msaa is switched off, I believe. Had the same. MSAA may be bugged. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Looks pretty amazing. Any more details as to what exactly Road bases, Sam sites, and Fuel bases are, and what they mean to us? When will the next testing round(s) start?
  23. Wow. Thanks Ciribob! This is great. Does this means that our base defences (igla/stinger and kub) will also persist? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. A good suggestion I thought too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. It was just an example. Opposite ends of map and all. Anapa and Tblisi. Better? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
