I have 1.5GB video memory. Maximum usage is 765MB. It's no news that DCS is more CPU-based than GPU.

The longer you wait, the better A-10C gets. No need to worry.

64bit allows more memory to be used. That may increase memory caching and loading times, maybe even to hold more stable FPS over intense areas, but it does not magically accelerate your simulation in general.

Please check other threads before posting yet another thread with the same problem already discussed. You have to update your DirectX. And PLEASE post in the correct forum!

You can install 32bit and/or 64bit. The 64bit is obviously only available if you have a 64bit OS installed.

Not everybody who wants to buy the game wants to join the forum. If he does, he can make an account with the same name and passwords. If you want to join the beta-forum, you are granted a different access based on your purchase - this is linked to your shop-account for logical reasons.

True. And since this was the first OpenBeta-release, it only makes sense to judge on FPS when the next update is released, so you can see if there's an improvement or not. Judging general performance from current release is pointless, though.

I'm just explaining what recommended and minimum requirements means for gaming in general. How many FPS you will have with your machine running DCS:A-10C, well, I can't tell you unless you test the beta and post your results. But the sim will not be locked, deny installation or something, if you don't meet the requirements, if that's what you mean.

Recommended system requirements are those, that are expected to run the game most perfectly. If you don't meet these requirements, you will probably have to tune details down a bit.

Any 64bit system is able to run the 32bit version. But you can only run the 64bit version on a 64bit OS. Also note that TrackIR itself is implemented in the simulation for 32bit and 64bit, but as Wags posted before, Naturalpoint has not yet published 64bit drivers for TrackIR. Hopefully this OpenBeta will put some additional pressure on them :gun_smilie:

Actually you are a Final-customer and get the beta-version, too. You don't pay for the beta - you pay for the full sim.

Note that the BOXED VERSION is due early next year.

The same is available in Europe, but AFAIK from banks, not shops. AFAIK Paypal doesn't want to operate into Russia. At least that was the problem with Rise Of Flight. Idiotic old-fashioned business prejudice, if you ask me. :doh:

LockOn/FC is about flying the thing competitive online, with a good blend between FM and Avionics. LockOn is not a modern flightsim, though. It's almost as old as Falcon4. If you want complex FM and complex Avoinics, you should be very happy about the DCS-series.

Maximum power consumption for 5870 = 200 Watt (188 measured for most 5870 cards) 2x 5870 = 400 Watt (IIRC 750Watt are recommended PSU for crossfire with 5870)
