Amazing. Thanks for sharing!

There are two different buttons to "fire": One for the cannon ("FIRE"), one for missiles and bombs ("RELEASE"). Of course you must enter the correct mode to deploy the weapon: Any Air-to-Air mode for missiles against other aircraft (Note, that some need a lock), bombs, Air-to-Ground-missiles and rockets require the ground-attack mode.

Going from a TM Cougar to Logitch G940

Well, ultimately it's his decision. -

So in the end it's not the stick, not the question if it's replica or not, metal or plastic, quality or cheap, good drivers or bad, it's the question if it does have FFB or not. If that's what you're looking for, go for the G940. I'd like to add "you won't regret it", but I just can't. As you pointed out, you also fly a lot of different simulations. IMHO this is not an argument for the G940, but against it. Well, your money, your decision. -
Vista Home Premium 64bit or Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. Beyond the graphics, there's little difference between Win7 and Vista, though Vista is cheaper now and it's easily adapted to make it look and feel like XP. You can't do that with Win7 as many features were "hidden" to make it different from Vista, like Quickstart-Menu, old startmenu style, built in calendar and email-client, etc. You can still activate them, as they are completely installed with Win7, but components are encrypted, so you need a Windows Live-Account to reactivate them. Just don't get tempted by fencier versions like Ultimate or Business. You will never need the additional features over the Home Premium-Editions.

Sounds like you are playing the game in GameMode. Either switch to simulation-mode in the settings or press F1 to enter a cockpit and leave the 3rd-Person-view.

Great teamplay from Spain. It seemed though, that the German team entered the field totally demoralized. Began with the National Anthem, usually almost everybody sang, this time, just 2 or 3 of 11, the rest biting their lips and looking like they were already trying to find explanations for their defeat in the game to come. A real pitty. Could have been a tense and close game.

Yes, it is too soon to start, because this is not a screenshot ;) It's a shot from the USAF-webalbum: http://www.af.mil/photos/mediagallery.asp?galleryID=235&page=2

Are you in any way involved into the making of Duke Nukem Forever?

Let me just add, that because two simulations have a similar appearance and the same basic structure doesn't mean that one is merely the same as the other just with added features. And in this regard Vipers comparison is more exact than you think, because having 4 legs, a tail and a head doesn't mean that the resulting thing is always the same give or take a few minor modifications. It's not that simple.

It seems there is a general misconception, arraamis, which might lead to the "misunderstandings". Vekkinho's stated: And you replied: You probably missed his point, before jumping in his face, because LO/FC and DCS ARE completely different simulators. The engine may not be to whatever extend, but the content and level of realism most surely is. And then this: This also sounds as if the A-10C will be added to LockOn/FC-Series, in which it was flyable in it's older version before. But the A-10C will not be an addon for LockOn or a new version of FlamingCliffs, but a module of DCS. And if the new product DCS: A-10C will be compatible with LockOn/FlamingCliffs isn't even know at this time. So, I think there could be a general misconception here, about what LockOn, what FlamingCliffs and what DCS is.

DCS A-10C producer notes number one!
Feuerfalke replied to kingneptune117's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Ka-50s producers notes were released in fair quality via youtube (limited by size) and in high resolution via ED's website. Same will happen with DCS: A-10C videos. AFAIK the 1st producers note will be available for download, soon. -
He doesn't. That's why he's always adjusting his fire while the allies on the ground tell him where to fire. @ Infantry-sighting. If infantry was sighted that easy in Afghanistan, the war was already over. We're not talking about a person standing in the plain yellow sand-desert with a black suit. The Taliban, for example, are hiding in the mountains for a reason. But even that is rather due to the fact that the allied Forces in Afghanistan know much better than to rely on the human eye from an airplane only, to find and ID targets. ;)

You talk about a completely equal and fair soccer, but soccer will never be an exact competitive sport like the Formula1, for example, simply because each game, has different settings and there will never be two matches exactly the same, not even daring to speak about all teams involved. It's unfair, it's drama, it's live. And that's what FIFA wants it to be. And that's what's keeping us discussing about it, about Wembley, about all those little incidences. Here and at your local pub. That's what makes these games so emotional. You can't measure soccer with a stopwatch. And if you did, you'd take something away from it. That far I've got to agree with him. Edit: It was Günter Netzer - sorry I couldn't remember his name in the first place.

Yes, they are. But that raises the question about how bad the others are or rather on what standards they are measured. ;) IMHO the job of the referee has become much harder. Todays games are captured by dozens of high-resolution and high-speed cameras, live-editing and blending in of offside-lines and stuff like that. But FIFA regulations still forbid the referees to judge by video-evidence! On the other hand, I have to concur with a German ex-Profi soccer-player who noted, that all this needs to be in the worldcup, because it's played by people, it's refereed by people and both make mistakes. But, he stated, that is what makes this sport so dramatic and exciting. This argument certainly has something to it as well. Why was Wembley one of the most discussed soccer games in Europe so far? Why is exactly this game so much of a myth that it helps attracting people to todays games?

There are several differences. 1. The X52 has a display that shows the name of the current config, buttons pushed (if descriptions are available) and time/stopping-watch, controlled by 3 buttons that cannot be mapped otherwise. The X52pro has a display, too, but it is much more flexible and can show a lot of different data. Several programs are available to show the data on the screen. 2 buttons and a scroll-wheel control the display. I'm not sure if you can also map them for custom functions. 2. The X52 has a single centering spring, which allows some play around the center if the spring wears out. The X52pro has a second coaxial spring that makes centering forces more linear. 3. The X52 has a blue backlight for all buttons and coolie-hats. The X52pro's buttons and coolie-hats can be backlit with different colors (Red, Green, Blue, IIRC). You can set the color with the programming software. Point 3 is already mostly a cosmetic feature. Same is for the looks of the X52pro that has changed from the toystick-design to a serious simulation-worthy joystick-design.
