  1. You guess wrong. Read up on it and educate yourself, since you clearly don't have a clue. Indeed. But who's the bigger fool here? Is it us because we keep on nibbling at the bait, or the guy who's trolling?
  2. Most aviation historians, experts and hobbyists are of the opinion that it was an excellent fighter plane, whereas a complete stranger without any credentials off the Internet thinks it's terrible. So whom am I to believe here, I ask you :D
  3. Aren't them all? But thanks anyway.
  4. Yet another apology, but thanks anyway BN. In the meantime though, my decision of not buying from you still stands until the Yak is finally completed. But thanks again regardless.
  5. Well that right there is your first mistake, because the DCS AI cheats so bad. You just cannot do any meaningful comparisons unless fighting against a human adversary.
  6. Yeah, but what exactly was the fix? A new file by Mustang? Is it downloadable somewhere?
  7. That's the one I was thinking about, thanks. And the bird's not even a replica it seems, but a restored original... WOW!
  8. One lives and learns ;) FYI, blast damage is actually modelled in DCS, whereas shrapnel damage is not.
  9. Couldn't say. This cruise power seizure thing is something I've not seen myself. Seems to be a common occurrence though, but since it doesn't affect everyone, I'm afraid it's a hard one to isolate and eliminate.
  10. Not calling you crazy, just paranoid. Malevolent programmer? Pleeze...
  11. "New kids"? Such as myself? Hah :D What you don't seem to comprende is that the Yak has seen little to no progress after its release, so prioritize or not, that's just NOT acceptable. So prevaricate all you want, but I'm still not buying anything unless and until it's sorted out first.
  12. I remember having heard there's a flying replica Dora somewhere, but may well be wrong due to mixing it up with some flying As that certainly do exist.
  13. You're wrong. Biffers were known for needing excessive control forces at high airspeeds and that should definitely exist in DCS as well. As to whether the modelling is correct and realistic as is, is however debatable - and I, for one, don't think it is.
  14. And oh yeah, found out that cloneInZone works as well, so I'm good! And using it instead of teleporting actually adds some much-needed "world" activity, because I can use the DCS ME to plonk down reserve / off-duty units puttering about in the rear and then just clone them as needed. Spiffy extremo!
  15. Well, something seems to have happened regardless.
  16. So how exactly did he fix it for you Coxy?
  17. Och aye! Thanks for the info Jester.
  18. Ah, sorry, gotcha. Nothing unfortunately changed with the Yak per se, but plenty of other stuff was fixed, and hence my reinstalling the bugger.
  19. Whaddaya mean what changed? https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/news/official-updates/201318-dcs-world-2-5-changelog-and-updates-of-open-beta?p=7126460#post7126460
  20. And particularly the Dora. That baby will bounce more often than not unless you keep some power on at touchdown!
  21. Yeah, modern units work as always with the latest Mist version. Thanks for filing a bug report on this mate.
  22. Rather change it to something more realistic instead of bypassing it altogether, i.e. the controls stiffening should only start happening after exceeding 300MPH or thereabouts.
  23. Just a quick question if you don't mind. Functions such as "mist.teleportInZone" etc. don't work with WW2 units, meaning those units can't be teleported, moved or commanded by Mist. Any idea why that is?
  24. So according to this report, they'd become too stiff when you pass 480km/h or thereabouts. A conversion error somewhere, since ours becomes too heavy in excess of 300km/h?
  25. Undoubtedly true per se, yet my personal experience differs. Am running a config modded DCS with 16GB RAM and no pagefile whatsoever, and given my style of play and the missions I make, no problems whatsoever. All stutterfree, no crashes, and this on an ancient i7-2600K computer too...
