  1. Thanks for the clarification 9L. And please, do send our Season's Greetings to Nick from us the great unwashed complainers too, and all the best to you and yours as well mate! :)
  2. All the best to you and yours everyone. And wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! :)
  3. All the best to you and yours as well BD. And wishing all DCS pilots a Merry Xmas and a Happy New year! :)
  4. Delete all shader files in: C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\fxo\ C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\metashaders\ C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\metashaders\metafx\ C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\metashaders2\ Then restart the sim and let it rebuild them all. This has solved many a glitch before and I do it every time after an update as a matter of course.
  5. Yeah, but this wasn't because the LW AC were inferior, it was because there were so few of them. The Mustang was a good aircraft, no doubt, but so were the late-model Biffers and Fockes.
  6. And oh, BTW, just had an engine jam after having run on WEP for just a minute. The temps were on green all the time. This admittedly seems a bit suspicious.
  7. I've heard vintage P-51s use something like 45"-50" MAP on takeoff because they're much lighter nowadays since they're not carrying any weaponry. Just what I've heard though.
  8. See the attached picture.
  9. Thanks for the info guys.
  10. He's obviously a traitor. Eats those starspangledbanners or whatsit for brekkies.
  11. All warbirds suffer from this currently so this is not a valid example of DCS having an evil anti-American and/or anti-Pony twist. Happened to me in the Dora just the same yesterday when I landed rough having received some combat damage - the gear went, the plane fell down on its belly and *BANG* I was dead. As to why that happened, I've no clue.
  12. Compared to the shite we have now? Fahkin hell. Those guys had a sense of humour and went 100% Disney because they KNEW folks'll pay attention to that. Alas, those days are gone forever...
  13. Bought it on day one, haven't really flown it at all, shelved it to wait for further development, so where are we now? Thanks ;)
  14. Also, lots of comments on this board from folks who're using WEP without problems all the time and so have I. Granted, I only do A-to-G nowadays and thus tend not to stress the engine overmuch, so maybe my opinion doesn't count? Still, some fighter jocks seem to manage it just fine as well...
  15. RL or DCS tests? Because that's what the manual says regardless.
  16. Because it can.
  17. Yep, plus the DCS P-51 manual states that "WEP provides no benefit at altitudes below 5,000 feet. The throttle alone provides more than enough power to exceed the operating limits of the engine at these altitudes." So WEP gives you no boost whatsoever if you're staying in the weeds.
  18. I think it's shelved. Haven't heard a word about it in ages.
  19. Not seeing any of what you described above, although DCS can be a pain on some HW combos. Is stuttering your main problem, or what exactly?
  20. This is a massive, MASSIVE improvement. The performance is on a par with Caucasus now and the new Speedtrees look awesome. Thank you so much for this Ugramedia, time to shake the cobwebs off this map right now
  21. Put us at TEASE  No, sounds brilliant and all in good time. S!
  22. Can't see that changing either.
  23. They shouldn't engage any kind of armor since the guns just aren't powerful enough. If they did, upside down or not, that's incorrect behaviour AFAIK. Or did I misunderstand something?
  24. Thank you Good Sir
  25. I beg to differ. A coherent and fully modelled era / theatre, a dynamic campaign and some more flyables and they will come. And if the instant ace brigade wants to dumb this down, hell, just ignore them ;)
