Just use a custom user defined curve. You should be able to play with the individual amounts at each side of the range and put it exactly where you want. You dont have to use the whole range. All the joysticks are toys so the relative stick movements are arbitrary. Set up the toy so you can fly the sim effectively.
Roger that, glad it helped.
If you want to fine tune it further to your personal liking, go up to a few thousand feet and about 300 knots, and then move the throttle back and forth while you watch your fuel flow tape. You want smooth proportional movement of the tape matched to the throttle movement. Any big quick spikes in fuel flow is not good.
No sir.
I've gone slider, and the set negative curves to make the fuel flow rate proportional to throttle travel in the 3500 lbs to 6500 lbs range, which is where you are for landing and tanking. It just makes it so I have to go a little more past the warthog detent to get into burner, but who cares.
This is an F-18 but you can see how much he moves the throttle in the groove. The f-14 is going to be somewhat similar. If 3 mil of movement on the toy throttle spikes the fuel flow, it won't work at all. You need curves for it to be more realistic.
Sounds like somebody didn’t calibrate their throttle curves to the Tomcats fuel flow. Look at the fuel flow tape. If it spikes up 3000 lbs before settling when you’ve only moved the throttle a few milimeters, then you are going to have problems......in landing and especially refueling.
It takes negative curves to tame the fuel flow in the throttles mid range.
Ok, but you are flying formation in the pattern and then you sweep the wings back after commence. And everyone sweeps back while trimming and staying in formation while commencing?
I would think wings forward by yourself in Case 3 marshall stack but not sure about Case 1.
Hey guys, any idea of the proper wing config in the port holding pattern during Case 1? Do we sweep them back to 68 and trim up. I know we have 68 set for the break, but are we at 68 for entire holding pattern?
I don't think they will necessarily make us wait until a standard OB release date. I think they understand that everyone is on pins and needles. ED will finish testing, HB will announce date and talk about roadmap, and give warning about pre-order discount, and then they will release. I could see that happening by next Friday.
No, I refuse to believe we can't get rid of greed, and thus the tragic condition of human nature, world hunger...and poverty....and greenhouse gasses, cows, air travel, etc. First Citizen AOC can back me up on this.
Even if the release date was at the end of the promised range, or a week from now, it would be nice just to get A release date. Cobra said they were anxious to share the date in "the coming days" 6 days ago. So we are now waiting on ED....and radio silence from them.
I'm not defending all the natives that make up dates and then throw a hissy, but the frustrating thing has been that it always feels like definitive info is just around the corner...but never quite. I resolved myself to the release being mid March a while back so that does help the antsy-ness.
I don't know why people think deferred shading in VR looks great. It is blindingly bright, so they put in a gamma slider to band-aid it. So you can turn it down to make it manageable, but then other areas are too dark. And, forced deferred shading sucked 30 frames away from the FPS count.
It might be great in 2D, but not so in VR.
