  1. Just started a trial and selected the very first training mission. the aircraft does not appear to be connected to the deck of the carrier, as it just slides off the back, staying at the same altitude, as the carrier moves ahead. Looks like a bit of mission editing might be necessary? Edit: this is in OB by the way. Edit2: My bad. It looks like I have a TM Warthog Throttle switch set to active pause, from the last trial, and this was keeping the aircraft in this state when the mission started. Looked odd, but now it's all good. Sorry.
  2. 'Weight on Wheels' i.e. when you are on the ground or on a carrier.
  3. remember there was an OB update yesterday, so make sure you have taken the usual steps, as that might explain the delay on comms. do the commands get sent when you press the PTT button one or two times after you've spoken?
  4. Asus Sonic Studio can be a PIA too
  5. Maybe there will be some inspiration for you, in the video at this link:-
  6. In short, the second one. Although Vaicom (please note the spelling) is focused on the voice control of radio comms, if you want to control other aspects of the aircraft, like flaps, gear, etc, VoiceAttack does allow you to daisy-chain another profile(s).
  7. From the VA log, is "startup" not being recognised with a sufficient confidence level or is it being misinterpreted as another word(s)? Either way, maybe try opening the MS speech recognition dictionary and adding an entry for "startup" along with a recording of your pronunciation of the word. Alternatively, is it recognising the word "startup" and VP/DCS does not appear to be responding as it should? If this is the case, then it may be that the AIRIO commands are still to be copied into the Vaicom profile, using the Finish steps. Go to the Editor tab on the config dialog (ctrl-alt-c) and press the finish button, which will probably be highlighted in yellow. That will bring up a dialogue that will tell you what to do to to complete the process.
  8. Symptom AIRIO commands not recognized / executed Cause AIRIO dll not installed Remedy Download from website Cause AIRIO not enabled Remedy Enable AIRIO (EX tab), restart VA and DCS Cause Keywords not updated in VA profile Remedy Apply FINISH steps Just to make sure that you had seen the FAQ, the above looks like it will provide at least a good start towards a solution. If none of the above works, if you could post a VA log in a new thread on the VP subforum, that would provide some clues as to whether VA is not recognising your spoken commands or whether there is a break somewhere between VP and DCS, once it has recognised the command.
  9. Do the IFLOLS on the ship and the recently added overlay disagree or are they both wrong?
  10. Perhaps if you asked for help on the Vaicom Pro subforum, https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=733, you might have more chance to get it working. I see that you have posted on that forum today, for the first time, but with no indication of the problems you are apparently stating here. MS Speech recognition, which is required by VoiceAttack and thus Vaicom Pro, does require a fairly significant investment of time, to get it to understand your voice and to suggest that it must be bugged because you have yet to ask why it doesn't, is hardly fair.
  11. Thanks for that. So might that explain the apparent inaccuracy that peeps are experiencing? For example, if the IFLOLS is set for an F18 and the aircraft landing is an F14?
  12. after a DCS update, it is the export.lua that sits beneath the Saved Games branch that you should delete and no others, if you aren't seeing the module name in the PTT window. A restart of VA and, probably DCS, should then correct the problem.
  13. Is it like this on both the F18 and F14, I only have the former, or is there a difference between the two? Would the IFLOLS be set the same for each of those aircraft?
  14. Vaicom is focused on the voice operation of the radio communications system, which you are very likely to struggle to do with just VoiceAttack. There is a free version, which although not fully featured, will give you a good idea of what it is capable of. Maybe give that a go.
  15. and you have added "decimal" to the dictionary and recorded your pronunciation of it? If it still recognises that as ".", maybe record yourself saying "point". If that returns "point" then just block that, so that "decimal" is returned.
  16. can you block recognition of "." in the MS speech recognition dictionary, hopefully forcing it to recognise "decimal"?
  17. does turning off easy comms make it work any better?
  18. but have you tried "carrier, select"? The select command should make your target carrier the unambiguous target of subsequent radio messages
  19. I'm not sure it was the same question, but the one you did raise was about being diverted to the alternate airfield, when declaring inbound. When Easy Comms is enabled, the inbound call will be sent to the nearest ship, which would probably have been one of the support vessels that effectively create a ring around the carrier. As those support vessels cannot accept the recovery of an F14 or F18, they will automatically send you to the alternate field. Also, the fact that Vaicom thinks you have selected a ship that isn't a carrier, might also explain why none of the other calls would work. Maybe try saying "carrier, select" or "<carrier name>, Select", as appropriate, and then say "inbound".
  20. It'll probably be Easycomms selecting the nearest tanker, Arco in your example. Try "Shell, Select" before "approaching to refuel" and see if that has the desired effect.
  21. but shouldn't "kiss off" be stated to your flight and not the carrier?
  22. You might want to ask the dev, but I'd expect that you should be OK, as long as you don't try to use the graphics enhancements of both mods together. Maybe just give it a try. Personally, I've now done loads of JTAC missions using the copy/paste bit that i would never have been able to do, without taking off my headset and writing the coords down.
  23. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=242134&highlight=jtac+copy+paste contains a really useful feature for, as well as any message, keeping the 9-line on screen. If you fly the F18, you can also combine that with the coordinate conversion mod, at https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=228750&highlight=jtac+coordinates
