  1. Well,, you seem to have succeeded, and I envy you! I would like to do the same but as you can see, where I wasn't struggling with stuttering and have had exceptional frame rates and times in 2.8 and 2.9 with DLSS on, later to realize that my MFD text was crap because of the upscaling, I now have a different dilemma. Back to crisp MFD but a bit of stuttering (Frame times a bit high)
  2. @SkateZillaJust as a quick test, I put DLSS back on and to the initial settings I posted,,, watched the frame times (NOT FPS) and they were pretty steady at 8.33. then I turned off DLSS and enabled MSAA at X4, and turned off SSAO + SSLR + DOF and frame times were worse and averaging 11~14. As I recall, staying below 9 or 10 was recommended to avoid stuttering. So, I dont get it, I was afraid of going down this rabbit hole.
  3. @SkateZilla I hear ya! Keep in mind I was doing well in 2.8 with similar settings, so when I configured 2.9 and frames were still well over 120, I thought i was fine until I discovered the MFD text that you gentleman have kindly pointed out. Now that DLSS is OFF and MSAA is back to 2.8 settings, I discovered some noticeable stuttering. And to be completely honest, Im not mentally absorbing all of the impacts of these individual settings no matter how many utube vids I watch or discussions related to them, they just kinda go over my head. And I dont really understand which settings I should cut back on to get the highest quality Video I can get with a 4090 at (3840 x 1600). Im ok with frame rate drops (not primary focus) as long as all is smooth and as clean and crisp as I can expect with this hardware. Thank you,
  4. @SkateZilla @SharpeXB Thanks guys, DLSS off resolved that. I did enable MSAA 4x also, I was running over 120 FPS in both 2.8 & 2.9 prior and I locked FPS at 120, now frames are about 80 with some noticeable jittering. I will try and figure that out next. @SharpeXBI disabled SSS before because i was getting weird shadowing wit hit on, but thanks. null null
  5. Since 2.9 update, I havnt been able to get my MFD text to be as sharp/crisp/legible as I had it in 2.8. I tinkered with the new graphics settings but have not been successful. I wound up turning the Sharpness slider to max as well, but no luck at the highest settings or lowest or anywhere in between. I have a 4090Ti and I was fine before the update. The Viper screen shot probably represents the concern more than the Apache. I have the latest NVIDIA Driver and have done repair. Please advise. Thanks,
  6. No, its still a wild ride! I have patiently trimmed her out to the point where it was just about holding steady as a rock, then engaged ATT,,,, sit back and enjoyed the ride LOL.. sometimes I would have to disengage because it would just about crash, sometimes, it would settle out.
  7. Glad you solved your issue, but it poses a question. it was always my understanding that if you have old mission from a previous version of DCS, you should open the old file in the Mission Editor and then simply save it and that would update the mission file so it could run on the newer version of DCS. Am I correct?
  8. I have it working now, What I find interesting is that I selected that entire "Keyboard" Column multiple times since yesterday, and once selected, I clicked on " reset Category to Default" and it did NOT place a "TAB" keybinding in the "Multiplayer Chat-Mode All" So I didnt think I had to ADD the "TAB" key to that line because it didnt install it there by default, and still doesnt? So I ADDED it manually,, ,now all is well. Thanks for the lead!
  9. Thats how it used to work for me as well. So like right now, I jumped in a fresh server, Chat window is up by default, I hit TAB,, and no change, window is still up? null
  10. Hmmm,,, ok thanks. I assume something has changed because forever i have been only cycling the "TAB" key to Show/Hide,,, no fuss with that LOL EDIT: That didnt bring the window back either? null
  11. I used to be able to cycle the Chat window on & off by simply hitting the "TAB" key. I dont remember if there was another default keybind for it in 2.8 but either way, thats how I cycled it without any fuss. I see now that the keybind for "Chat Show/Hide is "LCtl + LShift +Y" which is fine for the moment, but when I hit ""LCtl + LShift +Y", the Chat window goes away (GREAT!), when I want it back, I again hit "LCtl + LShift +Y" again, but nothing happens? No Chat window? Now I am able to bring up the Chat window to type in a message for Allies or All individually, but not just the chat window for viewing current messages? Thoughts? Thanks, null
  12. I will have to note the conditions next time I experience this
  13. Yes, I get this with the Hellfires myself,,,I dont know what it means either, but it wont rifle until the message clears
  14. I havnt read the manual yet, so thanks for the page info @Floyd1212. @skypickle, I did experiment for a few minutes today, once I made 3 targets I tried (2) procedures. One was to switch from "NAV" mode to "ATK", then used VoiceAttack (Direct) and that performed TSD/RTE/DIR, then at which point I would slew the curser over the Target and press (Curser Enter-Depress ) on my HOTAS to select the point on the Map I want to "Direct To". It is then the selected Waypoint. The other thing I did once I had some targets saved, and while in the "ATK" mode, I pressed "COOD" to open up the Target list and selected which one I wanted. I dont remember if I did VoiceAttack (Direct) and that performed TSD/RTE/DIR before going into "COOD" or not to be honest though. I will be reading page 240 tomorrow.
  15. @placseaIm not sure what you are doing here on the MPD? You are showing (4) button presses, I am presuming there are only (3) to press, and those would be: -TSD -RTE -DIR Then at which point I would slew the curser over the Target and press (Curser Enter-Depress ) on my HOTAS to select the point on the Map I want to "Direct To". What are you doing with those button presses? Thanks, null
  16. @placsea LOL, I have no idea what you said, but do you have an "R" rated variant? Anywho, thanks
  17. I thought those push keys were bound by default, I havnt looked yet. In case we are confusing each other, I was asking for a screenshot of your VoiceAttack button presses page. But if they are not bound by default, I can see where that wouldnt make sense, I will figure it out,,, thanks though
  18. Good stuff Boys! Good Stuff! @placsea Would you mind taking a screen shot of the button presses for that command for Voice Attack so I can be certain of what you doing with that? Thanks,
  19. Thanks for starting this thread, I was just about to myself. Now that this feature is implemented, I want to understand its use as well, but probably more specifically from this application: -I dont plan on switching seats for any reason, I want to stay in the Back seat. -How to best use this in an example of say: I store 1 or more targets but immediately have to mask mask self for various reasons, and when able, basically reposition but I want george to primarily focus on those specific targets that I stored only with primarily Radar Hellfires. There are alot of Youtube vids out there that I initially watched several times when the Apache was released. If anyone one knows of a specific Vid that would be relative to this use, please advise. I will be following this post for sure! This just got more enjoyable! null
  20. This is excellent! Thanks for this posting. @skypickle has just jumped the gun on me (LOL) and started a new thread for a "How to use it" discussion in which I will be asking about as well as not to muck up this specific thread. Thanks all
  21. @diego999Thank you as well sir!
  22. @speed-of-heatAH,, I see, it states "Far Distance" Thank you sir!
