@FlappieI think its more pronounced on my end, I think in the 2nd track file I show examples of the shadows on the sides of the buildings flickering annoyingly as well,,, the 1st track was basically tree shadows on the grass. -

@Flappie I didnt see much in your recording either compared to what i experienced BUT, I did see it start to develop right at the very end. The 2nd Track file I attached a day or so ago is likely to be more apparent. But as far as this goes, this is where I started to see it in your vid. null -

@FlappieYeah, I do that before every update. I will do it again anyway. I did switch off SSS by the way and I still have shadow flickering -

@Flappie Thank you sir for the response. I will give that a go, my question to that would be, since that is a "Shadowing" effect, would that still effect the streaks from the other Aircraft Navigation lighting I am seeing, or would that be an entirely different setting? Thanks, -

2 graphics issues I have that I havnt been able to figure out. -Tree shadows (for example) flicker when Im flying helicopter. -When I fly in formation with another Viper, and their NAV lights are on, flying level seems to be ok, but when they pull up, I see streaks of their external lighting? I have my frame rates locked at 120 FPS, and my monitor is set to 120 Hz, VSync is on. Attached is my current Graphics settings. Which settings impact the 2 specific issues mentioned please? Thanks for any help

@M0ltar I know this is a bit old but I couldnt find another relative thread. Where are the "UPDATE" instructions found? I ask because yesterday I went to update the current based on the information provided in the quote and I installed it in the same manner as I installed the older version and I got to the prompt with 3 options: Update Update with new files Uninstall Well, not knowing any better, I figured I was UPDATING so why wouldnt I want newer files (makes sense to me), so I updated with newer files and DCS wouldnt load, kept giving me some sort of Shader error. Tried to uninstall using the same updater and it said it uninstalled but DCS still wouldnt run due to Shader error. Thank goodness i did a system backup prior because I had to do a restore to get it back and running. Thanks for any help.

I just read thru this again, and would like to confirm something so I am clear. So Master Arm on/WAS the Hellfire,,, got it. NOW,,, if I attempt to select SKR as my ACQ, the only way it is going to stay put as SKR is only IF the Hellfire can actually see the Laser (your pointed in the right direction and the target is not obscured from the Hellfire Line of Sight), correct?

No, unfortunately I did not Im sorry to say. I wound up using a switch instead to increment the flap positions

@LeCuvier MANY THANKS! You led me down the path I needed. I now have that command option in the Pilots "Custom" menu to bind. I had to modify the end of that string so it would be inserted in the "Custom" menu. I know that button is not in the Pilots seat, neither are the other ones in the Custom menu. That is the whole point of the Custom menu, so that you can use them when you dont have a Human front seater with you and you dont want the fuss of switching seats while in flight when George is up there. No FCR returns in-game, but the track replay shows otherwise

I dont have an answer for you but i will tell you that I ran into the same issue yesterday, but figured out it was a MOD I was using to make the Apache HMD Yellow instead of the default green was causing the same result. I wound up disabling all of my MODS to find that out. Im only mentioning it because, if I read this correctly, your using Helios. If that is correct, I suspect there is a reasonable expectation that may be the issue. -
@NeedzWD40"TADS looking at FCR targets will come later with the LINK functionality. For now, you can do a scan and then sight select TADS and set ACQ to FCR, then slave which will make TADS look at the current FCR target (or last target position). You can also use the TGT function with the FCR to generate target points via COORD and slave to these." This can only be done in the Front seat right now, correct? I just want to make sure Im not missing anything as I would hate to miss out on being able to do this in the Back seat while we wait for "LINK".

Im sorry if this has been covered, but I am reading through all of this trying to find out how to add a Custom command in the Apache to allow the back seater to hit the “Slave button” Im not a Coder, how can I add this function to my current Custom Options? I have Monkwolf’s Input file installed. I have this: Im looking to add this to the Custom List: Thank you for any help

After the Patch yesterday (That implemented Apache FCR), if I do my usual changing of the map from KM to NM, I can no longer adjust the scaling on the TSD, it freezes when trying to make changes. This is consistently repeatable. No MODS running, and a full repair done. Typical procedure to convert KM to NM: M/FLT/SET/UNIT/TSD Track file attached Apache_Training-20231220-083616.trk
