Not sure if this was a reason for US navy tomcats, but I'm pretty sure they removed those covers from IRIAF tomcats to Prevent covers knocking off and causing FOD. I'm sure about those IRIAF cats cause the IRIAF tomcat veteran told me this when I asked him about this issue.

nice plane indeed, plenty of bugs and incomplete systems, which obviously are usuall for EA and can't really nag about it. after all, really happy about it. Many people expect planes to have the loadout of b-52 combined with the speed of f-18, maneuverability of f-16, plus range of f-15E and loiter time of a-10 all combined together so your expectations are not that much :joystick::joystick:
-
actually, on gbu 12, on altitude between 10-15 thousands and the speed of 400-450 knots, it shows the impact point between 12-15 miles away from plane, and interesting enough, the bomb guides to the target and scores a kill.
-
it can guide LGBs,as it dose this on a-10c, but on razbam av-8b right now both TGP and NAV systems are incomplete and under development, so as long as I know and tested there are 2 choices to guide laser guided bombs , buddy lase and JTAC.
-
anyone noticed, the gbu12 glides for 9-12 miles if you release it from 10-15 thousand altitude and 450kts speed? glides like a charm toward the target :| :|

500 pounds of pure Close Air Support, just to make marines on the ground happy pretty sure this scene made the day of those guys down there

guess he used left shift+N, pulling up the visor.

first I wasn't really sure about buying it, but figuring out that it had TGP changed my mind,so I switched to harrier from a-10 as my main flying type, and guess what! I'm in love with it!
-
as far as I tested it did, but couldn't get the TGP to point and lase, As zeus said right now the TGP menu is under development and it's not complete. EDIT: oops, my mistake, I thought you were talking about tgp code, sorry, didn't test the bomb as I couldn't get the TGP to work
-
Maybe some beer and chips too, it's pretty fun to watch those harriers crashing :lol::lol::lol::lol:

well the training missions are something that defiantly should be included, BUT there's one really important part that should be considered, the plane is in EA state, which means many thing may change and many other things will be added update by update, so I don't really think anyone would create those missions unless the plane in the state that the training missions won't turn into incomplete training missions after an update.
-
let's not jump to conclusion and wait till Wednesday, I'm sure right now developers are under lots of pressure to get the plane ready for the EA release, I don't think this misjudgements would have any good effects on them. I suggest we all wait for the release and see what happens!!!!!!

the good point about 29th release is that it's just start of weekend here :) the whole squad is hyped to see me flying and crashing it :pilotfly::pilotfly::pilotfly:

this is exactly what happens to me when I see a module!!! even considering crazy ratio of my my country currency to dollar (1usd=42000IRR ,which makes pretty hard to buy) wouldn't help a either :helpsmilie::helpsmilie::pilotfly::pilotfly:

I really think these trainers are really useful, I've seen many guy who knows how to shoot, how to dog fight, but doesn't know even some of the basics of navigation, I myself would really love to sometimes just flight some of these trainers just to practice some navigation, and with 2 real fighter pilots on my squad, I can simply ask them about any problems I would have. even practicing some VFR flights on this bird would be really lovely especially on new Caucasus map.

Just got my paycheck today (yeah it's beginning of month here!), and as soon as the money went into my bank account, I turned that pre-purchase button into bought :-))))

I was flying in formation with a group of two uh-60 s one mi8 and one ch47 as escort (SA342) when I saw something falling down from mi-8 :noexpression::noexpression: checked it out and saw this : at this aspect he seems to be more of a flying man rather than someone who had been kicked out of helicopter :| I can see the sadness through his eyes :|

Totally agree, other sims study level products (especially ad dons created for the sim that is developed by Lockheed martin) are almost twice or some times three times the price of some awesome modules that we have here! also considering that DCS gives us a combat environment which on those platforms such ad don has the price tag of 40-50 dollars. Although it's necessary to keep the differences of both platforms in mind, but after all, DCS price tags are really fair compared to what they offer to users, not to mention that base sim is free !!!

actually hornet is mid 2000, and I don't really think the a-10c, f-15c and harrier we have today belongs to pre 2000, so it's not really cold war era, also some of those airplanes that are made and still WIP are still active in IRIAF (yeah I know it's totally a flying museum ), so I can't really call it a cold war era!!! it's your choice where and how to fly and no one is supposed to tell you how to do it! but like it or not these vehicles are a major part of middle east militias (IRGC as an example here) and old school armies (Iranian army also an example).
-
totally agree, these days, tactical and modified trucks, pickups and SUV s are major part of many conflicts and civil wars in middle east (as seen in Syria and Iraq) although I really think the possible scenarios in strait of Hormuz might be different from what we see everyday in Syria and Iraq.

Using rb-75 sight is a total pain for those who do not have track IR, if I can remember right, on mig15 there's some sort of function that moves player point of view forward when the guns are active, just like leaning forward to give pilot a better view of sight (not sure about it yet cause I don't really fly the mig15, just bought it cause I like taking it around for free flights), wondering if Heatblur can implant the same thing on viggen, and it can be activated by setting trigger safety off or maybe by pushing some preset key bind or something
