I have a 3770k oc to 4.6ghz on a water cooler (corsair h100) and am fairly pleased with the performance. I'm not at 90fps on multiplayer but it's certainly playable with textures on high and pd of 1.8. (16g ddr3 and ssd- rift). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I ordered it express and it was in Virginia, USA within a fortnight. The only delay occurred because I happened to order it on the Friday before the Defender of the Fatherland holiday weekend. The seat has become so integral to my flying experience that I make decisions about what sims I buy based on whether the jetseat is supported or not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Upgrade from x52 to Warthog - worth it?
Magnanimous replied to R1Lawsy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
As always, I'm with dburne. I have the TMWH with the 7.5 extension and the monstertech desk mounts. Additionally, I have the simshaker jetseat and really couldn't be more satisfied in my Rift. It is an amazing experience. Of course we would all like the resolution to be a bit higher but real VR is here now and it is very worth jumping on it! I am one of the many who would never go back to a flat screen after flying this way. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Haha! I can't say my family had anything to do with the tea as we've only been here for 40 years or so from Scotland. I checked out the smoke and yes I noticed that the smoke was barely perceptible in the CRT. I also targeted a FARP with a big blue plume and could see a greater quantity of smoke, however the rendering is flickery and not very visible. This was in the Rift. It seems you've discovered a bug! Question on Monster Tech Ordering - lead time
Magnanimous replied to dburne's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
After waiting for about 3 weeks I sent them a note on their website and it shipped a day later. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Does it register as a kill? Do you get the target locked confirmation on the HUD before you execute? You may be over/undershooting your prosecution. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have the others and they are a little loose in the headset and frequently need adjusting. There is some initial distortion on the menus but the brain quickly accommodates. They are far better than glasses however! I'm just always on the lookout for improvements and ways to support new tech. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Are they better than the https://vr-lens-lab.com/ ones? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You Burne, of all people, need this! How can you properly do your job as the unofficial community VR spokesman without it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Absolutely [emoji817]% yes! The first time you "feel" your wheels leave the runway you will wonder how you flew without it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ok here are my crash logs as promised! Sorry for the delay. Logs.zip

I also crash on exiting missions. I'll post logs tomorrow. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Dragging the windows task bar to the side may fix this as you're inadvertently clicking it when clicking low on the screen. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Do you also feel this is a problem when learning the BS2 ?
Magnanimous replied to jfri's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Also, don't fear looking foolish in MP. This isn't Call of Duty and the community for the most part is nurturing and compassionate (mostly don't discuss sexual escapades with your mother). The vast majority are smart adults who want to help you fly well. Start on a PvE server like Through the Inferno where you will have lots of space to learn and make mistakes. The JS has motors placed throughout that give a sense of laterality. For example, there is a distinct difference in feeling between the left and right engine spool ups in the A10. Also, the software afaik, uses data other than sound- so you feel each bump in the taxiway concrete discretely. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

This or the Jetseat. https://www.gametrix.eu/products/gametrix-kw-901-jetseat-livesense. This thing adds huge immersion to VR and helps your brain reconcile the experience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the hotfix but with it I fail the integrity check for multiplayer.

A-10C & VR controls and settings help needed!
Magnanimous replied to hannibal's topic in Virtual Reality
I'm not sure if I'm adding anything to the conversation but I find that the default settings for the TMWH with a mouse works quite well in VR. As you know, the A10c doesn't love a lot of stick anyway (gigedy) so using the mouse isn't much of a juggling act in most situations. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
I bought CA today mostly to drive my placed JTAC to sight targets for the AG pilots on MP. However, it seems to me that getting the perspective from the ground will make me a better mover of mud myself. I happen to be one of those VR only folk and was having more than a spot of trouble aiming and placing smoke and such. Anyone have any tips for doing this CA gig in VR? Eextremely blurry cockpit text/labels with Oculus
Magnanimous replied to WisMan's topic in Virtual Reality
The M2k is particularly difficult as the buttons are quite small in comparison to say the A10c. I have found that while learning the module VR zoom has been a must. I have it bound to the pinkie lever on my TMWH stick for all modules. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Does the Visible Range setting affect TGP?
Magnanimous replied to Kayos's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I want to assure you that it is an ongoing complaint that has been brought up myriad times in multiple contexts. It is very difficult to spot targets with the tgp because the infrared capabilities have not been effectively written into the code. Until that basic problem is addressed you'll need to use other means to assist target acquisition; for example, direct visualization with VR zoom and keeping a sharp eye out for tracer fire and adjusting your gain and boat switch. I fly on the "Through the Inferno" server and always use a Huey to place a JTAC to help pilots acquire targets before I climb in a striker myself. Clearly, one gets better with practice but it still can be a source of great frustration. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
I don't mean to be a naysayer and I generally like to be positive but JTAC calls are often the only hope for finding targets in the A10C with the current state of modeling in the TGP. Also, the ability to communicate targets with flightmates will be severely curtailed. With things the way they are, it takes a "village" to clear an area. I do hope this gets an update for without it one of the more interesting and important functions in the A10 will be lost. It makes me tearful... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
