As I said above, you get the full set for a few pounds on Amazon. This is what I bought about a year ago. Covers all the above - and much more https://www.amazon.co.uk/Draper-Imperial-Combined-Pattern-Hexagon/dp/B00JKIZQHU/ref=sr_1_7?crid=262EOP8CRBNN9&keywords=allen+key+set&qid=1677828324&sprefix=Allen%2Caps%2C211&sr=8-7

Have a look at the manual here [BASE] VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Base - User Manual : VIRPIL Controls Support Center Yes, they've stopped including the allen keys, but just buy a full set from Amazon for a few pounds. Very useful thing to own, not just for gaming. Re your experience, yes 3 months is pretty typical at the moment. have a look at this thread New Ordering Process Live! - Community Discussion - General Discussion - VIRPIL Controls

Interesting approach by BD. Have to see something more taxing than taxi and take off to form an opinion on his new 'short and sweet' philosophy though. Fingers crossed!

For the last year, I have dumped my TrackIR and am using the Tobii ET5 in DCS (and other games). The freedom of not having a big plastic thing strapped to my head is amazing! Anyway, with the vast majority of the (almost 200) games supporting ET5 having native support, what is the likliehood of DCS doing this at some point? Currently, we have to use Tobii GameHub for DCS, which is OK, but nothing like as good as native support would be.

Share your Tobii Eyetracker 5 DCS settings

Sorry, I know this is a few months ago, but I really have no idea what you mean by 'dropping support'. Seems like the opposite to me. Most flight sims are supported with many having native support. In fact, out of the almost 200 games with Tobii functioning, almost all have native support. The only thing I can think you are talking about is the dropping of a certain WW2 sim with 3 characters. Support for that was dropped because it was using vjoy and it that is no longer supported. I only wish that DCS would incorporate native support so we could stop using GameHub. In fact, I might drop a thread in the Wishlist forum. -
Interesting. The Normandy map should be a breeze. Are you still running the i9900K in your sign? Maybe look at upgrading that? It's 4 gens and 4-5 years old now. Might help with a few things in DCS.

Don, I'm pretty confused by your experience. The Channel map is so much more demanding than Normandy with all the features and high level of detail. I just re-tried the first missions, and in The Big Show on Normandy I am getting 80-90fps (8-9ms) all the way through. Same with Epsom on Normandy. In The Big Show on the Channel map, I was getting 10-12ms which pushed me down to 45fps solid all the way through. That is on my Vive Pro 2 at 3042x3042 res and pretty high DCS VR settings.

It's interesting that people have such different experiences. I haven't tried the Spit campaigns since I got my 4090 a few months ago, but certainly on the 3090, Epsom was fine, but The Big Show was a stutter fest for me, although I'm sure I was runiing it on Normandy.

reported Confusion with non-CW and CW control bindings bug and workaround

Thanks a lot, BN. Any help appreciated in this annoying situation for Spit flyers. -
Well, pretty sure a lot of the initial Hornet and Viper ones haven't changed and they are still relevant for new flyers. F-5E as well, I think. There may be others.

Couldn't agree more. ED do a pretty good job of bringing TMs in gradually as the systems develop, e.g. Viper, Hornet, Apache, but we have all seen examples of large sets of TMs coming on board at the start of some modules and then the systems almost completely changing throughout the EA period. Then, as you say, the issue becomes updating, and that very rarely happens. I guess the important thing is for the basic systems to be reasonably well defined and set at the initial release stage.

That makes sense after the whole Harrier debacle, but I hope he doesn't make them too short and lacking any detail, i.e. training, like the Tomcat ones, for example.
-
It should be that way. I was just asking, as when I bought Razbam's S Atlantic map, there were (and still are) more or less no missions for it despite the fact that there were plenty for all other terrains at initial release.
-
Thanks for the info.
-
Does anyone know if there will be training missions with the early access release?
-
Nope, don't need to bother with that. In fact you don't need to copy anything as your devices store everything on the devices themselves. Just reinstall the VPC software on your new Windows install. I mean, you could export your profiles and save them, just to be safe.

I am talking about HDR option being displayed on HDR monitors. All I can say, is that the difference in other games that support that standard is quite astonishing. It is literally chalk and cheese, and the range of DCS looks quite limited in comparison.
-
The difference HDR makes to games is quite amazing if done properly - just look at a certain civilian flight sim - and I was wondering, are there any plans to make DCS HDR compatible?
