  1. My biggest gripe about these latest BD TMs is that the instructions/messages disappear so quickly that it is often totally impossible to complete reading them far less attempt to look at the instrument/function in the cockpit being described. The more traditional approach of 'Press Spacebar to Continue' would have been a better way to go, IMO. Again, just personal opinion, but I also think BD has gone too far with the shortening/simplifying approach. I agree that his Harrier TMs were far too detailed, but somewhere the middle ground between them and what we have for the F-15 would be better. What do you guys think?
  2. This recent update (with F-15E) is so slow to load for me and a couple of my friends. Takes about 2.25 mins to get to the main menu! Usually takes about 15-20 seconds. Very slow in going back to desktop as well. Didn't see a post about this already.
  3. Good point!
  4. Before any DCS update, always uninstall mods in OMM then reinstall when update is done. In your case, just uninstall and reinstall.
  5. In JoyPro you mean? Yep, me too. I can't get JP to do the CleanDB as it comes up with an error so I am also getting default binds creeping into the F-15. Re Quaggles mod, I've got it working now. The structure for F-15 was different in different locations.
  6. Sure, but there is just too much to work through IMO. I'll stick to your nice concise set of data.
  7. Can't seem to get this to work with the F-15E. I think I got the structure correct, but commands not showing.
  8. The first thing I do after every DCS update is delete all that stuff from the Nevada, Caucasus and South Atlantic kneeboards! To me it's just clutter. I use Minsky's incredibly useful airport data from here https://forum.dcs.world/topic/269908-aerodrome-data-and-frequencies
  9. Surely not being able to see your six is just a sensitivity setting issue. I have no problem seeing my six with a yaw sensitivity of 2.0 in GameHub.
  10. Yes, it's the exact same situation. It happens in the OB and Stable versions. So, the workaround is basically the same as the Spitfire. You need to copy the folder from Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input\P-51D-30-NA to Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input\P-51D and pretty sure you'll have to do that every time you make a bind change. I might be wrong there as I don't use the P-51 often. Post in the P-51 bugs forum and link to this thread. Maybe after a year we'll get some action on this.
  11. If you’ve got any specific issues, then just post them here or in the Virpil forums.
  12. So, 6 months on from my OP, and nothing has changed. Very disappointing.
  13. Glad to be of help.
  14. Basically, some work, some don't.
  15. Three? there are about 20! Sure you're looking at the training missions?
  16. Well, it’s ……/terrains/name/kneeboard. And, yes, the Syria situation is beyond a joke. It is Ugra though.
  17. You can reach the flaps lever with a finger without taking your hand off the throttle? Wow! That is something else.
  18. IMO, it’s not at all fiddly. Fits your finger perfectly with hands on, whereas taking hand off and going to flaps lever seems pretty clunky. I prefer using the flaps lever for flaps. But, as ever, each to their own.
  19. Yep, same here for VR.
  20. FWIW, I disagree. Having the detent makes that axis perfect for zoom as it’s easy to get back to the ‘normal’ zoom level.
  21. When you say 'really' zoomed in, how much are we talking about? Post a screenshot.
  22. See reply to your PM.
  23. That’s the one! Worth a go.
  24. Could it be because you are doing ‘export and merge’? I’ve never used that option. Try ‘export and delete/overwrite’ or whatever it’s called. Sorry, I’m away from my PC and can’t remember exactly what it’s called. BTW, I would change your backup number of days to just a handful.
  25. Looks ok. Rereading your earlier post, I’m not clear what the issue is. Are you making changes to bindings within JP and they are not transferring to DCS?
