  1. Thanks guys. I’m very familiar with that Steam overlay. Just wanted to check we were talking about that and not something else.
  2. So, in the HMD you need to use the steam overlay to have any effect on the VR visuals. It's frankly a pain in the backside, Sounds like it! What Steam overlay are we talking about here?
  3. OK, I'm in a mess with this. Using the exe installer and doing a bit of messing around, I can get it working on monitor. But, even though the monitor mirror works when running VR, nothing works in the actual VR environment. Going back to the old mod till I can see a way of getting this 5.0.2 working!
  4. Mine is a different size. Can you attach that here? Or is that against some rule?
  5. Not even tried in VR. When I run on monitor, there is not the usual text top left when DCS is loading, and there are no effects.
  6. So, I dropped the reshade dxgi.dll from 5.0.2 into the bin folder to update my existing install, but it's not working. Are there any other steps?
  7. Sure, there are a few workarounds, but none are ideal. Yep, those are the ones I use. The best I've seen from Minsky.
  8. Thanks guys. No conflicting binds or virtual devices. The weird thing is that it doesn't happen all the time. Well, yes, it does for axes, but not switches. I guess like @Pocket Kingssays, I'll just have to do a pre-flight check on controls every time! I'm sure this didn't used to happen with me though.
  9. I have a real problem in that whenever I start a mission, DCS recognises the state of my HOTAS switches etc. For example, if I have forgotten to reset all switches, buttons, DCS will take their existing state and action it. This means that my gear can go up or down when I don't want it to, or my canopy can fly off, etc. etc. I'm sure this didn't used to happen, and I also thought that is what the 'Synchronise Cockpit Controls with HOTAS Controls at Startup' checkbox option in Settings was for. Uncheck and DCS doesn't sync with HOTAS. Doesn't work for me though. Any ideas?
  10. I get crash on exit in SteamVR almost every time with my VP2. Vive support have looked into it, and it is a SteamVR issue, not relating to the Vive software at all.
  11. I persevered and still gave up. Sent back for a refund. I agree totally with your original comments below. Nice idea, but…
  12. +1
  13. Thanks for that. It works a treat!
  14. I haven’t looked into it, but how do you tell reshade to look for the new renamed dll?
  15. I'd love to know that as well. Atm, it's one or the other!
  16. We’re talking about the terrain level kneeboard not working, not mission level.
  17. Sorry, I don’t see that. If no one else has a suggestion here, then raise a support case.
  18. I'm sure you know, but it's what you see in Joytester that is important. That is what Windows sees. In Configurator, you will always see 2 buttons being pressed on hats - the centre one plus the one you are pressing.
  19. Are you talking about what you see in VPC Configurator or VPC JoyTester?
  20. Yep, a HOTAS bind for last message would be amazing, especially in VR when messing around with menus is VERY cumbersome.
  21. You have to bind them to 'always on' buttons. On my Virpil throttle, I have them bound to buttons I created on the zoom axis in VPC axis-to-button function.
  22. What would be really nice - and it's something that has been asked about for years - is a keybind to bring up the last message in-game. They are too easy to miss at times.
  23. This is the default setup. Very different to yours.
  24. You shouldn’t disable it really as it syncs the output of your axes throughout their travel. There can be quite a few %age difference when they are not linked. I think your inversion issue is down to the fact that you have both inverted in the config. AFAIR, one needs to be inverted and the other not by default. Can’t remember which one is which as I’m not at my PC atm.
