  1. It's been a while since I upgraded my system, and can't recall what kind of motherboard I purchased. Is there any way to find out what I got without rebooting into BIOS?
  2. that's just cute! Does the Su-25 looks as good as it does in FC?, Haven't seen it close up yet in DCS.
  3. I want to treat myself in terms of boosting my computer solely for Black Shark. Which component will give me most boost in DCS? (Os : WinXP 32) My budget will be around 2000 NOK ~250 euro My current system got: CPU : Intel Dual Core 2 6400 @ 2.13GHz (overclocked with 15%) GPU : Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT RAM : 2GB
  4. This question has been arisen before, but a twist of the alternatives. I would like to see which direction the community wants with this sim.
  5. yeah. It simply is an amazing game which will keep me occupied for months and even years. :D
  6. It would be super duper if anyone else can confirm that this "hack" increases your FPS.
  7. Same for me, not even 1 more frame when added the 2nd core. However I'm using XP 32 bit.
  8. I've read that some versions of the Ka-50 has a shkval supplemented with a thermal imaging system, being able to spot things during night, and some versions where the whole shkval has been replaced with a bit more hi tech sensors. Is it likely to hope for a patch where we can choose a Ka-50N (Nochnoy/Night)? Will this demand a lot of resources in terms of programming?
  9. thanks a million! to the both of you!
  10. Seems like it doesn't work in Norway either. Why not just add the file as an attachment rather than uploading it to a crappy webhost?
  11. Despite of what the most of you guys want, I think adding utility chopper like the UH-60 or Bell 412 and doing CSAR missions would add a whole new dimension to DCS. In that way we will satisfy people who have passion for aviation rather than blowing up stuff.
  12. I guess your chopper is ripped into pieces by enemy fire before your spotlight is useful ;)
  13. Another tip in order to make it a easier on your home trip is to ask for NGV mounted helmet from the ground crew before you take off.
  14. Thank you guys for the enlightenment!
  15. All these choppers and Bell 412 not listed? :(
  16. you can vote as much as you want, but that doesn't change the fact that real choppers rotate to the right when you push the right rudder pedal ;)
  17. happy new year guys!
  18. yes it will. I use the pedals from the MS ForceFeedback steering wheel for rudder pedals.
  19. it SHOULD turn right. If you're chopper is moving to the left you should switch it.
  20. This is probably a stupid question, but why arent the upper rotor creating a constant vortex ring for the lower rotor on the Ka-52?
  21. when you push right pedal, the chopper should turn right
  22. In that case, you should stressed when you first replied that your technique is extremely unorthodox. Do you have some sort of "documentation" of this landing technique I can read? happy new year bro :)
  23. The guy who started this thread asked HOW REAL PILOTS LANDS the chopper, when you replied that you should reduce throttle, which is wrong. He didn't ask about how pilots avoided missiles in the Afghanistan war.
  24. Well Geier, you obviously won't admit you're wrong. But it's your game and you can do whatever you want with it.
  25. So you think it's easier to fly the Appache? :music_whistling: I don't know about you, but most people here in this forum is much more experienced with fixed wing aircraft, so it will take time to master a helicopter. The trim button in the Ka-50 is simply brilliant and user friendly. How could that have been done better?
