Hi guys and girls, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I’m having serious issues getting the tacan working when using the F18. I have set up 2 x tacans In mission editor 1 is the carrier setup as 74x carrier The other is a c130 tanker set up as 11y tkr So I click on TCN to highlight the letters on the ampcd, and this obviously brings up the tcn settings on the ufc. I click on/ off to turn it all on, and then enter 11 enter for channel and make sure Y and A/A is selected. However all that happens is the pointer starts spinning on the ampcd. Likewise if I use the same process but obviously turn off A/A mode for the carrier again the pointer just spins. I can get a reading if I enter 1x on the tacan in A/A mode. Then it gives me bearings to TKR, however it seems to be from the carrier and NOT the c130. I know others seem to have it working with no problems, so any idea where on Earth I’m going wrong. I’ve tried deleting all settings, and redoing the mission, I’ve tried making a brand new mission, but I’m still getting the same issues.

Hi guys, I’m still looking at going for a new pc although due to a change in my circumstances I.E. I’m now a father, for the 1st time in my pc career I’m looking at purchasing a off the shelf pc :O Been looking around for the last few weeks and came across a company called Chillblast, which appears to have very good reviews, and has a machine which they claim, is the fastest flight sim PC avalible, which is a rather bold claim. Now it is within my budget just and on paper looks rather impressive, but I cannot find ANY reviews of this pc anywhere. I’m planning to use it with XP11, DCS and Star Citizen running at 4K and I have a target a FPS of at least 60. My current pc still runs most but she’s struggling with XP and I very very rairly can get FPS above 20, DCS runs at about 25 - 30 hence it being time for a new pc. Although I am tempted to hang on for the latest Nvidia cards due out in a few months. Sounds like you may have copied and pasted the lines on the left lua rather than cut and pasted them. I did the same and couldn’t figure out why one wouldn’t work, until I went back into the files and spotted I had copied the bottom line and it was still there as well as the top. Once I deleted the bottom bit it worked fine.

Yep. Works exactly the same as any other exports, only difference is you need the move a few lines about in the code to get DCS to recognise it.

NONE of this work is mine, it’s all down to Sreventon and Capt Zeen. All I have done is shared the info here for those who haven’t found it yet.

C:/Eagle dynamics/dcsworld openbeta/mods/aircraft/fa-18c/cockpit/scripts/multipurpose_display_group/MDI_IP1556A/Indicator file I didn’t change anything in the monitor files as I already export the A10 and Harrier MFDs. So if you already export other MFDs which if you’re doing this I guess you will be, you don’t need to change anything else.

Hi guys, just a quick post for those who don’t know. Over on the input forum, there’s a great thread by Capt Zeen, who was asking how to export the mfds. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=210138 If you go to post 8 by Sreventon, he has instructions on getting the export to work. Basically go to your left or right mfds init.lua file, and cut and past the last two lines from the bottom to the top. I can confirm it works a treat. This is NOT my solution, all thanks and praise goes to Sreventon who has done a fabulous job. I’m just posting here for those who may not have found the solution yet. Appreciate it’s a poor quality video taken on my iPad, but at least it shows it works. ;)

Any news of whether the view export will be fixed with the hot fix today? Really missing not having the displays showing on my TM mfds

Doesn’t everyone? I know I have 2 extra Hotas setups tucked away in case of breakdowns. God forbid something breaks and I can’t fly.

So what’s the issue, Just install Beta only. That way you only have one install, get all the modules and maps early and don’t have to wait for everything. Sure sometimes it’s a bit buggy but that’s a small price to pay for early access. I haven’t had stable installed for years,

^ This. Have the same issue with A10, but if I move throttles from off to idle and back to off, then they will work next time I move them to idle. Otherwise they don’t register.

Now for the first attempt at a pattern approach. Same caveats apply as above. I’m useless, it bears no resemblance of a correct pattern, I would be fired if this was RL, and it’s a bloody miracle I survived. Enjoy :thumbup:

Ok here’s my first straight in carrier landing. Please bear in mind, I suck. It follows no known procedure, my flying is bloody awful, god knows how I survived. ;) But should give everyone a good laugh about how bad I am. :doh: :helpsmilie: Oh and for some reason I can’t get GeForce experience to only record main monitor, hence the big black strip which is the 2nd mfd monitor input.

No idea what the rework is, BUT the system did allow me to select pay with ALL bonus points last week. Sadly it didn’t go through as the system is down at mo, BUT If this option is now on the pay screen, fingers crossed it’s included in the rework. I’m in same boat with $90 bonus just sat there

Woohoo, talk about perfect timing or what, given the Hornet lands tomorrow. My Crosswinds turned up, they are absolutely amazing, only used them on the Huey so far, but they feel perfect. Smooth input, very easy to hold the rudder position and if you love helo flying, I can’t recommend enough. To be fair, I’m certain they are going to be amazing with fixed wing as well. 2 months pretty much from order to delivery. For a handmade piece of kit like this, that is a great turnaround. Perfect communication all the way through the order with Milan keeping me up to date through every step, honestly cannot ask for anything more from a Vendor. If you’re looking for a set or a new set of pedals, then look no further, oh and they look amazing in black. Cowboy10uk
