Hi all, I had my sim equipment disconnected for about 2 weeks, now when I’ve reconnected everything I cannot get sim app pro to start up whatsoever. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it just sits at a blank black screen. This obviously means I can’t use my ufc display. any ideas, cause I’m all out of ideas. ive checked defender and firewall to make sure its still got a exception which it has. I’ve even tried deleting scripts.lua but to no avail

Thanks for that @MAXsenna it’s much appreciated and @rapid for your quick review. I have managed to find a few vids on it showing it off for DCS and MSFS, so I think I might take a gamble on the Pro. I do miss having the haptic feedback I used to get from the Jetseat so I do need to get that back somehow.

Sorry I meant being used with DCS. Quite a few reviews with racing sims I will admit. However as it’s Specifically DCS I’ll be using it with, then it’s how it runs with that, which is important. Hence asking the experts here, who will have the experience with DCS and the haptic seats.

Winwing products are great for our community, very good off the peg cheap solutions BUT yes their customer service is none existent sadly. I’ve only had to use CS a couple of times in the many years I’ve been using Winwing and it’s been a battle every time. Resulting in having to go through my bank to get my money back after they sent me my order Twice and charged me TWICE. Returned via customer service but they never refunded my money. I also had the issue with my Orion twisting, and yes it’s a very very annoying issue. I ended up purchasing some better quality grub screws which solved the issue, dirt cheap on Amazon if you don’t already have any. Can’t say I’ve had the issue with the throttle.mine has been great for years. Fingers crossed it gets solved soon.

Hi folks. After Years of great service, my Jetseat has finally waved a white flag and died. ( actually I ripped the cable out after getting it caught under my chair ) So I’m now in the market for a replacement. Since the Jetseat came out I see a few other options have appeared and sadly the Jetseat become harder to import. Have any of you got any recommendations about which seat to pick up. I would obviously want one that matches if not out performs the haptic feedback of the Jetseat. Looking into them myself I’m thinking either jumping through hoops to import another Jetseat or the Next Level HF8 Pro. I did try the original HF8 last year but found it to be rather disappointing compared to the Jetseat. Haptics felt weak and I couldn’t really get much feeling from rotors when starting up my Helos. I understand the Pro is a significant upgrade from the original, BUT after my first experience I’m hesitant as there’s not a great deal of reviews out there for it. Should I just stick with what I know. software wise I obviously have the Simshakers for Aviators software for the Jeatseat, which I understand is also compatible with the HF8 pro. Any advice from owners or either the latest Jetseat or the HF8 Pro would be highly appreciated.

Hi guys, sorry for reviving a odd thread. however I’m just trying to install this mod. I can see the pylons off and on in my livery and in mission editor if I select them, they do remove the livery’s and open the doors which is perfect. My issue is I cannot get the payloads to show for love nor money. They show up great in the load out list, but nothing is showing in game. just the standard Huey with just the rear M60s. just wondering does this mod still work, and if so any idea what I’m doing wrong.

Hi all, I was using the F18 today when I came across a strange bug regarding using the radio on the ufc. I am using a Winwing UFC to interact with the aircraft and on testing ALL the buttons are being recognised in the controls menu. However while I could pull the radio 1 or 2 dial to bring up the freq info, none of the options on the right appear to work or change, and neither does turning the dials clockwise or counter clockwise, so I can’t access any other set channels, Guard or manual modes. IF I swap over to any other mode, AP, IFF, ILS, DL etc, then all the buttons on the right work fine and options can be changed as normal. I don’t have a track file, as I’m not sure if it’s a hardware issue or a software bug. Just wondering if anyone else has come across this behaviour. I have tried this in both free flight, campaign and single mission with the same result everytime. It used to work fine with zero issues, but this is the first time I’ve flown for a few weeks.

Wow I have no idea how I can Thankyou for doing this. My Dad was based at Gutesloh 79 to 82 with 230 Sqn as a loadmaster on Pumas. I have some memories of my time there ( I was only 7 at the time ). I know there was a dry ski slope, as I took one hell of a tumble on it. . Put me off skiing for life. The military married quarters were a series of tower blocks in Harsewinkle just up the road from the base. While I will be using Gutesloh as my main base, I am aware that it’s currently very far from realistic. I cannot wait to see where this project goes and I’ll certainly be downloading it if possible.

Hi all, I am fortunate to have the fantastic Vrsimsolutions MIP and I will admit it works extremely well with its intended function the F18 and utilising a DCS Bios file from their website. However I’m wondering is there a way to get the lighting functions working with other aircraft? I mean all aircraft have a master caution light and fire lights right. Some have the same rwr warning lights as the f18. Yes in a different position on the cockpit but the signal to illuminate said light would still be similar surely. I admit that when it comes to programming I am absolutely hopeless, so I’m wondering if anyone else has had the situation where they can utilise cockpit lights for each module they own in the same home cockpit.

So I’m trying yet again to get the lights on my winwing devices to sync up, APU light on Taurus, Gear light, ECM and stores at the moment, will also be shortly upgrading to the MIP and will require any additional lights on there to sync as well. Now I know I need to repair export.lua to get the winwing line put in, and when I test it by itself it works fine. However winwing isn’t the only program that requires lines added to the export.lua, and the moment I add any of my other lines, the lights on my winwing products stop working, I will enclose a screenshot of my other export.lua lines that I require which I took prior to repairing the file and adding winwing. Has Anyone got any ideas, now obviously removing the export.lua lines that allow my FFB rhino or simshaker to work, isn’t really an option, but after buying a product that sells itself on syncing the lighting it would be nice to actually have the stuff working. I’ve also just purchased some MIP addon glare shields that have many more lights syncing to the cockpit, which no doubt will require additional export.lua lines added to work correctly Im finding it a tad frustracting and the winwing stuff to be rather tempremantal at getting these lights synced to my sim.

Ok, after lots of messing around, I completely wiped the export.lua and manually redid it all and it does now seem to work, APART from I don’t seem to have any engine vibrations in the F18 and if I fire the gun the effect stops working after a second or two. pulling G however works an absolute treat as does stalling the aircraft, gear weapons etc. I can feel them all.

Are you all using just the Next level software or the Simshakers software. I’ve literally been fighting to get this working all afternoon. I can get an output with the next level software but if I’m honest it’s pretty poor. Just a constant buzz from the engines and you can hardly feel any other effects. I then went over to try and use my simshaker software as I used to have a jetseat, and although it sees it in the software and testing the motors work fine. I cannot for the life of me get any output on the HF8 in sim. tried troubleshooting using info from the simshakers page on her but sadly I’ve not succeeded. ANY advice at this stage would be greatfully recieved before I throw the darn thing out the window.

Hi guys I need a hand. Sadly my jetseat died and I’ve just replaced it with a HF8. However I cannot get a output to the seat in game no matter what I do. It sees it in the software, I can run the test motors function with zero issues, but in game I get ZERO output. im getting no errors and I’m only running the latest Simshaker beta software. I attach a photo of my script lua file below. I do use a Rhino FFB stick which also uses a script file, obviously turning that off isn’t a option. The seat works fine with the next level software if I turn that on, but simshakers just will not play and the next level software effects are rather poor to say the least.

Well guys. It’s Here. I added myself to the waiting list about a week after my posted on here after doing more research, and got my notification a few weeks ago that my order was ready for dispatch. Currently sat at my neighbours waiting for me to collect after work as naturally it turned up while I was away on holiday. Thanks for all the advice, can’t wait to get this all setup and tested. Just in time for the Kiowa as well.

Wow guys, that’s a home run, hell that’s a winning game. quite probably my fav fixed wing aircraft of all time. Just spent last 2 hrs flying her, circuits and umps, even tried dive tossing. Beautiful just beautiful. Very very well done.

Wow that sucks, sorry mine literally took 10 mins. im all done now and installed, including the new F4 Fingers crossed it speeds up for you soon

depends what you mean by slow, just downloaded and installed it in less than 10 mins. average speed was 85MBs cant complain at that bigger issue is my F4 is showing that i dint own it and it needs buying

Hi all, thanks for your reply’s, and much fiddling and waiting for Amazon delivery’s, I turned out to be the DisplayPort cable had become faulty somehow, despite working flawlessly in the other pc. A replacement cable has solved the issue and I’m back up flying with a significant jump in FPS back in 4k.

Yep several times, tried it in all 3 hdmi slots on tv, selecting each one. Zilch luck sadly. thankyou.

Used the old 3090 to keep me going until the new 5 series GPUs turn up. No point getting a 4090 at the mo, when they are so close to release. Full fresh install of windows 11 Pro, all windows updates done, All motherboard drivers done, Latest Nvidia Graphics Driver installed and windows Display driver. She boots up fine and runs well, apart from one MAJOR issue. I cannot for the life of me get my Samsung 4K 55” tv to get a signal on DisplayPort or even HDMI. I’ve tried factory resetting tv, uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics and display drivers several times, I’ve testing the GPU with my secondary 1080p monitor on hdmi and it works fine, also used every single port combination on my GPU and TV I can think off with zero luck. Been trying to trouble shoot this for over 5 hrs now and I’m at a complete loss, short of throwing it out the window, and picking up that Odyssey G9 that has been calling to me for months, however the wife WOULD kill me if I did that The screeen IS showing up in Nvidia control panel and display menu, although as a generic monitor ( Samsung ) restricted to 1080p, and I can select it as primary but just can’t get an output. Strangely enough if I remove all cables and disconnect the TV from the pc, that Samsung monitor still shows, so maybe a false positive. I’ve tried deleting it, and redetecting it but the problem still continues. I know others use 4k tvs in their sim builds, Has anyone else come across this and have a solution, because I’m pulling my hair out. I do have a new DisplayPort cable on the way to me, in case it’s the cable that’s crashed and burned, although if that was the case I would expect it to work on hdmi at least. on bright side, the new PC looks stunning.
