What can I say, WOW, she is a dream to fly, a bugger to land and I’m guessing I’m fortunate as I’m getting good FPS in 4K. No different than any of my other aircraft. Fantastic job Thankyou guys. For those who are getting FPS, out of interest have you just installed Beta, if so check the graphical settings, a lot would have been reset from the stable version, I know I found I had to go in and change quite a bit on my system to get usable FPS when I first installed beta. There may be different graphical settings in Beta that are not in Stable, don’t really know as I haven’t had stable installed on my system for years. My system isn’t the best, but I will post my graphical settings if it will help. Fraud I can’t tell you what FPS I’m getting as I never look at the numbers, but it’s more than usable and looks stunning. Cowboy10uk

Sorry since when is modern jet combat the Main Raison D’etre of DCS? Granted a long time ago when DCS didn’t exist, ED made Lockon:modern jet combat, however that was many many years ago. Now this is Digital Combat Simulation world, that’s it, and I’m sorry but ANY aircraft that can be used in a combat situation fits within that category. That covers ALL wars, Pretty much ALL aircraft that have a combat role, from Trainers, Tankers, Transport aircraft, Helos and Fighters. So the Yak fits perfectly within that description, Hell when I was serving in the RAF, even University Air Sqn Bulldogs had a combat role, be it a very minor one, but a war role all the same. Now granted Jets will always be the most sought after aircraft, most consider them the most exciting type to fly and they will always seem to be the top of the tree and to that end we have 3 very good jet aircraft all in development and due to come out soon. I wouldn’t be surprised in a few years to have the majority of the world to fly around, similar to Prepar3D, as we get more and more maps within the same sim, I’m guessing at some point they will all be able to join together. Well this news has just made the module a tad more expensive for me. Buying the wife’s Xmas pessys and somehow the Cougar MFD and a 12” screen, just happened to accidentally fall into the Basket on checkout. ;) Cowboy10uk

Fantastic, another aircraft to play with, granted not gonna be suitable for battles etc, although I guess we can always stick some smoke rockets on her and play as a Fac. Gonna be great fun doing aerobatics with her and another great platform to use as a trainer. Very impressed that although we were not the target audience, it sounds like it was developed on EDs professional arm, ED has decided to allow us the oppitunity to purchase her for our hangars. Granted now we will have months of post complaining about how she’s a waste of development time, and that ED has lost their way, and what’s the point of a trainer etc etc etc, BUT I for one will be purchasing on first day. That would be fantastic, spent many many hours at Wittering in the late 90s as it was my parent unit, not to mention Dad was a rigger there in the mid 70s, Hell I was even born there. ;) My last posting 2mt Sqn even moved into the old 1 Sqn hangar once the harriers moved out sadly. Would jump at a MP Harrier campaign for the RAF in a heartbeat. Will be following this very closely indeed. Cowboy10uk

Lower your helmet visor???? Can we now do that in sim? If so that’s stunning, but no idea how I’ve missed it. Please tell me we can do this with the Harrier. I have to say while I’m not a fixed wing guy, I am very very excited about this module and I’m determined to learn it fully and correctly. Most modules I fly a handful of times before heading back to rotary. Cowboy10uk
