  1. Sadly it’s still doing it Andrey, notice I have same issue with wheels as well. So I’m thinking it may be a Windows issue in the setup. Going to go in and see if there’s a way to turn the App Store off and see if that helps.
  2. My settings page looks the same as normal as well
  3. Ok mate, just the normal windows when she’s starting up. I get the authorising window which is when the windows app window pops up, the moment I click yes or cancel, then it loads and I get the message simshaker has loaded, the app itself works fine just that darn window for some reason.
  4. Hi guys, I recently reinstalled simshaker on my new machine, however i have an annoying issue that everytime it starts, windows 10 keeps asking me to search for app in appstore for it. Once i select an option either yes or cancel, then Simshaker loads as normal. However next time i start pc, i get the same issue again. Any ideas how to stop windows from trying to check for apps for this program?
  5. Yes mate. All sorted now thanks, uninstalled and started again. Now all works as it should. You can close this down, thanks for taking the time to look at it.
  6. Wow those are some damn impressive components as well. Congrats mate. Bet she flys along.
  7. Hi guys, Ive just done a fresh installed of DCS 2.5 Open Beta on my new machine, I then went to the module manager and installed All my modules and terrain and reactivated them all using my serial keys. However when i start DCS it states i have no terrain installed and no modules are showing on the bottom of the screen. When i go into module manager, it takes 2 or 3 attempts before it will connect but when it does it shows all modules, campaigns and terrains as installed with a green tick next to them all. Any ideas?
  8. I would buy it in a heartbeat. This is a combat simulator, that should simulate ALL aspects of military aviation. Not just the fast shiny pointy things.
  9. Yep certainly did. No issues there. :D
  10. Just mind blowing update. Adore how much detail is going into this aircraft. Multicrew in this is going to be amazing
  11. Well one day we will be right. ;)
  12. To be fair, been using them for years for my components with no problems although this will be the first time I’ve purchased a system from them. Certainly the dealings I’ve been having with them this time round seem very promising. I’ll keep everything crossed however
  13. Hi guys thankyou for all the advice. The order has been placed. In the end I ended up going for the aircooled system with the H150i liquid cooler. After speaking to Scan, comments on here and other flight sim sites and my general cold feet about full watercooling as well as the requirement for increased mantinance and the extra hassle when it comes to upgrading GPU s at later dates, I think it was the right choice. I did make a few changes to the spec however, I swapped the Z370 motherboard to a Maximus X Hero, and swapped the 1tb 860 evo for a 2nd 970 evo M2 drive. I also added another 3 LL120 fans, to replace the stock fans in the case and on the H150i. Hopefully all will be here in a week or so, and we will see what difference it makes. Thanks again for everyone’s input.
  14. Hi guys, well im still here looking at blooming pc specs after a few months, and i think Ive got the build almost right for DCS, SC and P3d / XP11. Anyway, may i please ask you guys to look through one more time at the 2 specs ive come up with. The pcs are pretty much identical builds with the only differences being cooling ( Watercooling vs aircooling ) and although both GPUS at 1080 TIs one is watercooled and one is aircooled. soundcards included purely for use with my jetseat Basically the choice now is what sort of cooling should i go for. Both pcs are by the same builder Scan Computers in UK. 15. Thanks for the offer. Been in contact with both Scan and Chillblast ref the PSU on offer. Although neither show up on their configuration pages, both have stated they are happy to fit the Corsair HX1200i Platinum PSU during the build. So I think I’ll grab that no matter which way I go. Think I’m leaning more toward the Scan machine at the mo, although I’ve got that niggling doubt about waiting to see what the 1180 brings to the scene. But obviously no one knows what that will turn up, I’ve seen everything from the next 4 weeks till the end of the year. Scan have also confirmed that the 5ghz overclock is on ALL cores on the 8086 rather than just the single one as standard.
  16. Fabulous in that case covering the time I was down south. ???? We should at least get MPA, Mare harbour and the radar sites then. Quite a few of the roads weren’t built until 2000, well apart from the Stanley road. ( Wonder if they will include a crazy bus driver thundering Down the road between Stanley and MPA then ;) )
  17. The other PC I’m looking at, is another from Chillblast. Again I would want to change the M2 to 1tb, add a 1tb SSD drive and change the barracuda from 3tb to 4TB. https://www.chillblast.com/chillblast-fusion-hailstorm-rgb-gaming-pc.html?category_id=412#product-details-tab-tab608 Processor • Intel Core i7-8700K Processor (overclocked by up to 20%) • 12MB L3 Cache Motherboard • Asus STRIX Z370F GAMING Motherboard Memory • 32GB DDR4 3333MHz • Configuration 2 x 16GB • Dual Channel Support • 4 x DIMM Slot Solid State Drive • 500GB Samsung 960 EVO M.2 Solid State Drive Hard Drive • Seagate 3TB BarraCuda Hard Disk Drive Optical Drive • None Software • Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64bit Display • Monitor not Included Graphics • ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB Graphics Card Audio • Onboard High Definition Audio Input Devices • Keyboard and Mouse not Included Networking • LAN: 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Power Supply • Corsair RM850x 80 PLUS Gold 850W Modular PSU
  18. I’ve asked the question ref the 5ghz, whether it’s a guaranteed 5ghz on all 6 cores, or whether it’s just the standard single one that comes out of the box so will wait and see. ( The write up does state all cores though ) I’ve tried OCing myself and I just cannot get it. I don’t think I’ve ever managed a stable overclock depsite buying what is meant to be the right chips, hence why I’m getting someone to do it for me. Ref the pump and radiator, haven’t got a clue as it just says custom watercooling. It’s from Scan computers the Vengence fluid TI CR. I’ve chosen to upgrade the Memory, Add another SSD drive and increase the M2 to 1tb and the western digital to 4TB. https://www.scan.co.uk/3xs/configurator/vengeance-fluid-ti-cr
  19. Sent them an email, they do sell a 1200 Corsair plantinum in the components section, so have asked if they would fit one of them instead. The other question is Ram, will I really need 64 at 3200mhz or will 32 be good enough. Looking at £300 vs £700 depending on what amount of ram I go for.
  20. Sorry if this has already been answered, but does anyone know what timeframe this will be set in? Are we going for a 1982 timeframe to cover the conflict, or are we going for a more modern but hypothetical conflict situation? Don’t mind either way, just blooming stoked to finally be getting the Falklands to play with, just wondering more for the landscape. Obviously 1982 will be significantly more bleak, less roads, no Mount Pleasent airfield or Mare Harbour etc, but if we are doing a more hypothetical modern timeframe, then there has been significantly more infrastructure built up on the islands from obviously MPA and Mare Harbour, to additional radar sites on the islands, and newer and bigger hospital in Stanley, and new roads across the islands. Aircraft wise, well apart from the Huey, nothing we currently have module wise was involved in 1982, so I don’t really see there would be any conflict making a more modern version of the islands. If you do include MPA, please don’t forget the huge amount of bars on the base, I think I can remember where the majority of them where. Although my memory from those tours are a tad fuzzy. ;)
  21. Hi guys and girls. After my Chillblast post I get the general feeling that I9 isn’t the way to go, so I’ve been looking about for other options. This is my latest selection, again price range is extremely similar, so is this a better choice. Again my aim is 4K at 60fps on max settings. 22. Sure, not back home till next week. So will do it once I get home.
  23. Hi guys and girls, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I’m having serious issues getting the tacan working when using the F18. I have set up 2 x tacans In mission editor 1 is the carrier setup as 74x carrier The other is a c130 tanker set up as 11y tkr So I click on TCN to highlight the letters on the ampcd, and this obviously brings up the tcn settings on the ufc. I click on/ off to turn it all on, and then enter 11 enter for channel and make sure Y and A/A is selected. However all that happens is the pointer starts spinning on the ampcd. Likewise if I use the same process but obviously turn off A/A mode for the carrier again the pointer just spins. I can get a reading if I enter 1x on the tacan in A/A mode. Then it gives me bearings to TKR, however it seems to be from the carrier and NOT the c130. I know others seem to have it working with no problems, so any idea where on Earth I’m going wrong. I’ve tried deleting all settings, and redoing the mission, I’ve tried making a brand new mission, but I’m still getting the same issues.
  24. Hi guys, I’m still looking at going for a new pc although due to a change in my circumstances I.E. I’m now a father, for the 1st time in my pc career I’m looking at purchasing a off the shelf pc :O Been looking around for the last few weeks and came across a company called Chillblast, which appears to have very good reviews, and has a machine which they claim, is the fastest flight sim PC avalible, which is a rather bold claim. Now it is within my budget just and on paper looks rather impressive, but I cannot find ANY reviews of this pc anywhere. It’s called the Fusion Valkyrie. https://www.chillblast.com/chillblast-fusion-valkyrie-xb-70-ii-x299-ultimate-flight-sim-pc.html I was just wondering if anyone here within our community has come across these guys or maybe used the machine itself as given the claim of the fastest flight sim pc avalible, we are obviously the target market. I’m planning to use it with XP11, DCS and Star Citizen running at 4K and I have a target a FPS of at least 60. My current pc still runs most but she’s struggling with XP and I very very rairly can get FPS above 20, DCS runs at about 25 - 30 hence it being time for a new pc. Although I am tempted to hang on for the latest Nvidia cards due out in a few months.
