  1. Hi guys, sorry I know this isn't DCS related, however it is Simshaker related. I've just purchased P3D V4, and I see that simshaker is compatable with P3D. Can anyone please inform me, how I install this for P3D? Struggling to find any instructions at the mo. Cowboy10uk
  2. It's ok scratch this, cleaned out the update data in CMD and restarted now getting 8 MB/s which works out about right for 66Mbs connection. Mods you can lock or delete this thread guys. Thanks for your help. Cowboy10uk
  3. Hi guys, As i was away for the weekend I'm a little bit behind the bell curve downloading 2., However for some reason I'm only downloading at 200 KB/s, yet my line speedtest is showing a download speed of 66 Mb/s anyone got any idea how I can improve this, If I switch to HTTP, it goes up to 1mb but that's still significantly slower than I should be getting. 4. ^^ This. Absolutely adore this campaign, I just love the fact that we don't have to mess around with weaponary for once. I much prefer doing support helo work. Now if you ever decide to do a medivac or slick campaign for the Huey. That would be a dream come true.:thumbup::thumbup: Cowboy10uk

  6. Just to think, the last time I had the opportunity to land an F14 on a carrier, it looked like this. Now we have this. Times sure have changed, I cannot wait. :D Cowboy10uk
  7. Cheers for the advice guys, finally bit the bullet and went for the 55" curved 4K TV, apart from the wife being annoyed and no longer talking to me, it's bloody fantastic, only did a quick flight with the A10 and Huey, yet that was enough to convince me to even remove the touchscreen and Helios monitor. How's everything is large and readable there's no requirement. Thankyou for the advice guys. Cowboy10uk
  8. Ok, yet again I'm drifting towards swapping my 5670 x 1080 Triple screen setup with a 4K 55" TV The main reason for this is I'm fed up with Bezels and like an idiot I purchased monitors without VESA mounts, so it makes it almost impossible to match up, the other issue is i find it can be a struggle sometimes to get games to work at 5670 x 1080 resolution as I find UIs and FOV quite often don't work well. I'm hoping a single TV will work easier with all games even at the higher resolution of a 4K TV So I have a couple of choices that I'm looking at. A. Change 3 x monitors to 1 x Samsung 55KU6100 4K TV http://www.argos.co.uk/product/6060910 B. Upgrade 3 x non VESA monitors to 3 x AOC Q2577PWQ 25" http://www.wired2fire.co.uk/flight-sim/ultra-triple-screen-monitor-kit-ultra-thin-bezel.html Cowboy10uk
  9. Keep looking at these, as I do enjoy flying with my DK2, however still not convinced the resolution will be good enough. Trying to find somewhere where I can tesT both the Rift and Vive so I can make an informed decision. No idea how they expect these to take off in mainstream if you can't try them first. Really don't want to sp no 6 -700 on something if it's not gonna provide the experience I'm looking for. Cowboy10uk
  10. Always purchased my track IR from Bob and Carol at RCsimulations. Very friendly people who do anything to help. Hell they even once went back through their records when I lost the serial number to my track IR three, highly recommended Cowboy10uk
  11. Tried it but didn't really get on with it installed on the chair. So picked up a wheel stand pro with the Warthog centre pole. Works a treat. Stick still sat between my legs as it should be, yet full freedom when getting in and out of the chair. Cowboy10uk
  12. Cheers mate, gonna be popping to the shop on Tuesday in that case then. :) Cowboy10uk
  13. Cheers guys, will have a look for those lacking casters. Still researching chairs at the mo, as I'm not convinced the one I like above will be big enough for my jetseat. Cowboy10uk
  14. Thanks for the offer mate, but fingers crossed you won't have to do that. If all else fails I'm tempted to drive to the shop which is an HR away and see if they would let me attach the jetseat to it to test. Just thinking the side parts will twist the motors around to the side of your body, not too sure if it would work like that. I have found a bigger chair, but sadly bigger chair = bigger price, so it adds another £100 on top of an already expensive seat. Cowboy10uk
  15. Hi Andrey, sorry to bother you currently using the 908 which I love, but sadly time has come to upgrade my chair. I'm leaning towards the Vertagear SL5000, http://vertagear.com/product/sl5000/ but obviously I was wondering if the 908 would be compatible as since it's a racing seat the sides curve in. Do you know if I can mould the 908 to fit a racing seat or am I better off looking for a standard office chair. These things are quite expensive so would hate to get one that wouldn't fit the jetseat as that's a must have. Cowboy10uk
  16. Hi guys, appreciate it's not strictly Hardware, but it is technically part of my upgrade. Anyway I'm looking at a new gaming chair as my current one although very very comfy is over 15 years old and has some rather big holes worn away in the arm rests and it's starting to go in the body so time to be replaced. I'm leaning towards the Vertigear SL5000, http://vertagear.com/product/sl5000/ which appears to have a nice black look to it and seems to have good reviews. However the issue I'm finding, not just with this seat but pretty much every seat that's out there unless it comes with a frame is that they all are on wheels. Now as I'm sure pretty much everyone here has had experience with, wheels are a pain in the backside when it comes to using rudder pedals. Press the pedals in one direction and the bloody chair goes off in the other. I was wondering how are the rest of you guys solving this problem, it's it worth swapping out the wheels for gliders, or get some sort of carpet to put down under the chair? The room is laminate so their is no current resistance. If anyone has any ideas, or even chair recommendations it would be appreciated. Budget for the chair is about £250 - £300 Cowboy10uk
  17. Well can't talk for others, only for myself and my Sqn mates, but NONE of us have had the release version installed for years. Only ever use the open Beta or Alpha version depending on where we fly. Personally I find the Beta version as stable as the release version just with the added bonus of getting the modules earlier. Cowboy10uk
  18. Damn this sounds cool, pretty sure I've got some old ogg files about from when the KA50 used to pick up radio. Cowboy10uk
  19. Ahhh you sods, you just cost me money. ;) Thanks for the recommendations guys can't get enough of books like this. Cowboy10uk
  20. Sadly deep down I know that, I'm just hoping this may be different. ;) Bloody shift work getting in the way of my flying again. :) Cowboy10uk
  21. Thanks LN, looking forward to it, personally I can't see what the surprise was. EVERY module has been released to the Beta version first, so it was pretty obvious it would happen with the Viggen. Hell to be fair the Beta version is that good and stable anyway it's the only version I have installed apart from 2.0 of course. Cowboy10uk
  22. God I hope she's released first thing in the morning, on later tomorrow so won't be able to fly until Monday otherwise. :( Cowboy10uk
  23. yep hot refuelling is certainly a common practice, I can tell you its a thrill doing a hot refuel on a HOVERING Chinook, and just a tad windy. ;) god I miss that job. Cowboy10uk
  24. Well looks like I lied, I couldn't resist after all. Don't tell the wife. ;) Cowboy10uk
  25. Cheers BigNewy, will test that tonight. Fingers crossed it will work. Cowboy10uk
